Reviews for Oxford Suites Boise
Review 1:The staff were extremely kind and helpful. It was our 32 Anniversary and they brought us a bottle of wine and some chocolates! What a surprise! The Oxford Suites is the nicest Hotel we have ever stayed in. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing trip.
Review 2:Staff was not very great. The night staff was awkward and not welcoming. The breakfast f&b manager got into an argument with me about my service dog and was asking me for specific medial reasons as to why I had a service dog (which is illegal by the way). Despite a comfy and spacious room, I wouldn't stay here again because the staff doesn't make it a welcoming accommodation.
Review 3:It was comfy and clean. Great quick place to sleep when on a road trip
Review 4:Honestly the shampoo and conditioner kind of destroyed my hair. Apparently I should have brought my own. The coffee in the room was especially horrible, despite the handy coffee maker.
Review 5:The bed was amazing and the tub was huge. I loved the shower. The steam room and sauna were awesome-open 24/7?? Brilliant! Breakfast was to die for and I had my eggs freshly cooked exactly how I like them. The staff was so friendly. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean and I liked the kiddie pool.
Review 6:I felt the staff was uninterested in me and seemed put out and not very accommodating when I did converse with them. I was told that I would not be allowed to have a late check out due to having allowed to many late check outs that morning. While I understand that it may be policy to do that. I felt that it was unrealiatic for them to not allow that. The parking lot was empty and it didn't seem like there were many people around on the property during my entire stay. Also when asked the hostess did not seem very knowledgeable about where good places to eat were.
Review 7:The rooms were nice and clean. The decor was tasteful and modern.
Review 8:Hotel is located very close to freeway. Traffic noise could be heard all night. Ceiling insulation is nonexistent, occupants of room above could be heard walking, in what appeared to be wooden clogs, starting at 5:00 AM.
Review 9:Very nice room. Comfortable bed. Fireplace was great.
Review 10:I didn't like that I had to leave and come home!!
Review 11:I enjoy the facility all together. It is well equipped, always clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are perfect and the hospitality time and breakfast are the tops!! I enjoy seeing friendly familiar faces like Jim!
Review 12:I loved the soaking tub - how relaxing after a long day of traveling and meetings. The Tuscan décor is very pleasant. The sheets are so soft and cozy. Then to have the full on cooked to order breakfast in the morning was a wonderful treat.
Review 13:I had requested a quiet room, upon check in I was given a room on the ground floor next to the elevator. After asking for and being given another room, I had to call reception to fix a leaking refrigerator which has soaked the carpet. On day 3, I found that the air conditioner had been leaking and had soaked the carpet underneath. The decor appears old and is dark, and there was insufficient lighting ( lumens) to read in bed or for my wife to put on make up in the bathroom. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast chef was outstanding. We departed for Seattle on day 4 and stayed at the Hyatt Olive 8 (Seattle) it was bright, very airy and had outstanding lighting both for reading and in the bathroom. Recommend that the Oxford Suites management quickly review and improve to standards similar Hyatt Olive 8 standards. BTW, the 2 hotels mentioned were within $10:00 per night in cost. As a long time Booking.com user both in Europe and here in the USA, I chose the Oxford Suites based on their 9.2 rating. We were disappointed, in all fairness I would honestly rate it as 7.8 based on many, many years of using booking.com for my travel accommodations.
Review 14:Location was good
Review 15:This property is clean and comfortable, close to the freeway and several chain restaurants. Stay away from the noisy indoor pool at the end of the building if you are not traveling with kids.
Review 16:Charged me $50 for one night for my two 8lb dogs and did not provide proper outside poop bag/disposal receptacle. Strong, really strong chlorine smell from the pool throughout most of 1st floor where we stayed.
Review 17:The room was nice and clean and spacious. The evening two complimentary cocktails and morning breakfast was really nice.
Review 18:Morning airport shuttle is not available before 7:00, early departures require hiring a taxi. Breakfast is not available for early departures.
Review 19:Well equipped, clean, comfortable accommodations with a courteous and helpful staff. Free airport shuttle arrived promptly upon arrival. Free drinks and snacks provided a more than adequate dinner substitute.
Review 20:The wireless internet was slow and somewhat challenging to connect to.
Review 21:I was greeted promptly and checked in quickly. All amenities and perks were clearly explained. The staff, room, and facility are EXCELLENT!!
Review 22:Check in time was at 3 and we were not able to get into our room for almost 45 minutes and I've had the reservation for two weeks. I didn't like that we had to wait so long when we paid a good price to have the suite.
Review 23:We loved how open the room was and how quiet and relaxing everything was. Loved having the conveince of a fridge and the fact that all the dishes and utensils were provided. It was amazing and spacious and we will def be bringing our children back with us.
Review 24:Pool isn't 24 hrs, Parking out back, doors in the back are locked at 11 and you can't get in with your card
Review 25:The room was awesome! I really liked the layout, the colors, the bathroom, the little kitchen (extended king suite)
Review 26:That the cook, who was told I would need gluten-free breakfast, seemed to can "less" the morning I went down to breakfast. He was rather rude, "flipped", "what do you need" in a gruff voice, when I shared I was the person. I didn't eat breakfast the next morning.. I found/cooked, using the microwave, breakfast 2nd morning. The front staff should also "really" learn the bus route pickup points.. they didn't give me good directions and I walked a lot in 95-100 heat. It wasn't were they said it was.
Review 27:That the staff tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. That I did have the option of cooking meals in my room.
Review 28:hotel little get together carrots n celery disappointing....room was 10 rooms from the indoor pool...the chlorine smell was so strong it smelled inside the room lightly also eyes watered when in the hall way from the smell. didn't use the pool even thou that was part of the reason we booked there
Review 29:beds were comfy rooms great size pets friendly great wi-fi
Review 30:My husband had an omelet but he said it was pretty tasteless. I had some fruit that was fine. The pastry was just okay. If I remember correctly there was no cold cereal available. Cereal at least gives a good simple option.
Review 31:We thought our room was nice, especially liked the large bathroom with toilet separate. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. I also liked the soap and lotion which were your own brand.
Review 32:Great value for the money. The evening reception was really nice. Even though the hotel is next to the interstate, we didn't hear the traffic which was nice too.
Review 33:The entire experience was exceptional. The facilities are spotless and roomy and the staff very helpful. I will make this my #1 place to stay in the future. I only wish they had more locations!
Review 34:Wi-fi was there but slow or dropped at times.
Review 35:Outstanding bathroom, senate soaker tub and shower. Comfortable bed, great nights sleep, even the first night! Friendly staff devoted to making your stay stress free.
Review 36:The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and gorgeous. The beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is unlike any other hotel breakfast and the location is great.
Review 37:Only thing the room lacked was a full-length mirror.
Review 38:The room was lovely and the staff very attentive and professional. Breakfast was well-done and Happy Hour was a welcome extra.
Review 39:Loved the complimentary cocktail hour, green-friendly soaps (in mounted bottles instead of wasteful tiny sizes), spacious room, and eggs made to order for the free breakfast! Staff was very friendly. Definitely worth the price!
Review 40:Evening appetizers/drinks were a pleasant surprise and breakfast was wonderful. Just make sure to take two plates when you go through the breakfast buffet - your made-to-order omelet will get tossed onto your fruit if you don't....
Review 41:The grass around the property for walking the puppy.. It would have been great to have a little poop bag dispenser out front to use when walking the dog to help keep the property clean. Rooms were well sized, everything was very well kept.
Review 42:We loved the room. It was very spacious, had a roomy fridge, beautiful bathroom, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. The chef that cooked breakfast to guest specifications was an unexpected surprise. He made the best omelet ever!
Review 43:The young lady who checked us in, I believe her name was Mary, was beyond kind and accommodating. If we were to open a hotel, we would feel confident with her behind the main desk! We also loved having actual glasses and ceramic mugs for beverages/coffee. It is a very nice touch that made us feel at home, versus borrowing time on someone else's property.
Review 44:Channel selection on the television wasn't the greatest and music selection was poor nothing that was calm, soothing, or even easy relaxing music.
Review 45:Love the accommodations, great room, fireplace, facilities and staff were very good and the breakfast was awesome.
Review 46:unfortunately, the bed was hard as a rock. we did not sleep the entire night. we will stay again but this time we will request a softer bed bring along something to sleep on.
Review 47:absolutely loved staying! A beautiful hotel with all of the amenities! SuperValu!
Review 48:Their complimentary breakfast was over at 9am. Maybe OK for a business traveler, but on a vacation people want to sleep in a bit in the morning! We never made it down in time the three morning we were there. Also the soaps and shampoo were in a pump. (Bolted to wall.) No bar soap, no face soap.
Review 49:Linens and mattresses were good. Pillows OK. Nice to have complimentary drinks and snack in evenings. Fresh cookies late afternoon.
Review 50:Great friendly staff, beautiful rooms with good beds. Best complimentary breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. Don't really want the secret to get out - so we always have a place to stay when there - but hotel and staff deserve a good review.
Review 51:There was nothing I didn't like!
Review 52:I've been to a few other hotels in Boise, some nice, some cheeper, this one... The best! We will be staying at this location every time We come to visit Boise!
Review 53:The hotel was very nice. The room was big and furnished nicely. It had a desk that I could work at. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice. The bathroom was huge. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 54:The noise level from traffic on the freeway was above able-to-sleep level. They should cut back on some of the marble and invest in soundproof windows or at least sound baffling curtains. Also to get a decent meal, you had to drive into town, they were surrounded by fast food joints.
Review 55:the amenities and surroundings are sumptuous.
Review 56:The facility appeared on the newer side as was evident with the quality of the rooms for this price range. Rare to see a separate shower, and the bathroom was large. Very quiet and conveniently situated. Breakfast was fresh, chef supervised and plentiful.
Review 57:Everything about the hotel. Great room, clean, very comfortable, superb breakfast. Loved the decor. Defineately lived up to the 9.3 recommendation
Review 58:Ask for parking lot side as one side in near freeway.
Review 59:Central location off interstate and near all services. Large rooms with kitchens and very friendly staff. Great breakfast with eggs made to order!
Review 60:This is hands down our favorite hotel in Boise. The staff meets your every need cheerfully, It is clean and comfortable. A kids pool helped my 2 year old love to swim. There is a reception at night with snacks and drinks. In the morning there is a complimentary hot breakfast with cooked to order eggs. All in all just a great place to stay.
Review 61:Had a large enough bath tub and a beautiful wash room. Room was spacious enough and well equipped.
