Review 1：Our only gripe was that the pool was very cold. It is not heated and even during some 30+ degree days in August, it was still very cold. The local resturants were not that great. These negatives should not put you off going here if you want to relax.

Review 2：Beautifully presented hotel in a really peaceful location. Most of the time all we could hear was water running, cow bells and very quiet jazz. Most the breakfast provisions are sourced from the estate. The rooms are spaciousand include a small 'kitchen' area, too small to cook, OK for lunch though. There is an excellent games room that we used every day, with a pool table, card table and smart TV. The games room also has a couple of exercise machines. The free wifi was fast.

Pertaining to a well-known Portuguese wine writer and specialist, who also produces wine on the premises, the manor is a fascinating mixture of local and modern architecture surrounded by almost five acres of vines. The eleven rooms with beautiful views of the countryside dominated by woods and green hills of the Serra de São Mamede natural park, reflect the same blend of modernity and tradition. A spacious verandah, a big roof terrace and an exterior swimming pool form welcome leisure spots for the traveller in the sunny Portuguese climate. Meals are also served upon request, and wine tasting is encouraged. For those interested in getting acquainted with the excellent red and white wines produced by the owner, he will gladly share his impressive knowledge and great enthusiasm for wine making. After touring the countryside, guests can also choose to visit Portalegre, the district capital, and reconnoitre its well-kept old centre. Cabeças de Reguengo is a must for the discerning traveller!
