Reviews for Travelodge Kanab

Review 1:The front person spoke little english and didn't understand I needed a microwavable bowl and kept trying to hand me styrofoam.

Review 2:Breakfast and a beautiful view.

Review 3:really small, old rooms. A closet in the bathroom with a chair? Why? There was even a hole in the door... Wouldn't come back here.

Review 4:The breakfast was good, we could make our own waffles!

Review 5:There was a mouse in our room, I went straight to the office and they changed us to another room immediately. There was also a bus load of tourist, so breakfast was very busy the next morning. Generally the place was a bit old but clean.

Review 6:The staff were friendly and helpful

Review 7:The building had no running water from 9 PM to 6 AM and we weren't made aware of that at the time of check-in. The staff barely spoke English so it was hard to comunicate.

Review 8:The water completely shut off at around 10. Asked the manager about this and he said the water main to the hotel is shut off each night. Luckily we didn't need to use the shower or toilet much that night. Would have been really awful otherwise.

Review 9:The room was clean, though small. The pillows and blankets were comfortable and the space heater worked really great. Quick wifi.

Review 10:The heater fan was a little noisy

Review 11:Across the street from Escobar's Mexican restaurant. Very friendly. Called me to tell me I left my iPod in the room. Very honest. Comfortable bed. Good TV. Clean. Tasty breakfast.

Review 12:Lighting was dim and beds were too soft for our comfort--also room was pretty small but ok for just a quick overnight stay..breakfast could have been better

Review 13:quiet and clean-parking near room without stairs

Review 14:It was in need of repair. The outside door was broken, the walls were dirty and the cement driveway was in need of repair.

Review 15:It was clean and breakfast was OK.

Review 16:the room was very dusty, the linen dirty and the bathroom filthy. We asked to have it cleaned up and the owner, instead of apologizing, made up an excuse saying that the cleaning lady was sick and had to leave earlier that day. when we pointed out that we were paying for the room and we wanted to have it clean he eventually sent somebody to take care of it. at the desk we were checked in by a 12-ish year old boy.

Review 17:We had to ask to have the room cleaned up and eventually had it clean.

Review 18:Smell of room and air conditioner, too soft of beds, worn out carpeting, bad grout in bathroom, caulk around sink needs to be redone, no sink drain plug.

Review 19:Hot water and good shower head. Refridgerator.

Review 20:Clean, yet cramped. There was a nice remodeled bathroom and all was clean, but there was no room for anything but the beds and an aisle to move around them and to the bathroom.

Review 21:As we arrived, we were said that we have no reservation and there was no spare hotels near us for about 200-300 km. So we had to spend a night in our car without a shower!

Review 22:We were allowed to park our car in this place and have a free breakfast

Review 23:Everything was amazing. Owners were awesome, very friendly and helpful. Location was great, price was good, beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this place if in the area.

Review 24:- Room with bare minimum necessities - No fridge, no microwave, not even a coffee maker in the room - Mattress was uncomfortable - Price was too high

Review 25:- Cheapest place in Kanab, yet still expensive - breakfast was OK

Review 26:The hotel was really not in very good conditions, the walls, the carpets, and in general terms the building was old and not well-kept. I found the bed was not comfortable and could not sleep very well.

Review 27:It is hard to find a hotel for a good price in this area, for that reason we took this one. However we found it "expensive" for what we got. Would have paid more for something better.

Review 28:The rooms were awful, thin walls, more like a hostel than a hotel. The breakfast, everything about it was awful inclufpding the coffee.

Review 29:Nothing it was awful!

Review 30:I would like too see an additional ice machine at the back of the complex and maybe a couple of soda machines.

Review 31:The bed was the most comfortable I've ever experienced, a and the pillows were luscious. The bathroom was updated, vary modern, very clean.

Review 32:One bed in our room was hard as a rock, one bed soft as a marshmallow with a queen size mattress on top of a king size box spring. Carpeting looked very old, washing machine did not work, breakfast only carbs. The room was very small.

Review 33:Family run business, staff very friendly and very helpful, quick check-in.

Review 34:Entrance to accommodation block was stacked with boxes of equipment, no floor space within room, noisy air conditioner stopping and starting continuously

Review 35:The room was very small. Dark hallways. Old features in room and bathroom. The beds were way too soft. The breakfast was all carbs and sugar . No fruit or yogurt. I was very disappointed and did not stay the last night even though it was pre- paid.

Review 36:The managers and his family are very helpful and kind.

Review 37:GROUNDS DIRTY WITH PALATES OF TILES, OLD TV'S AND FURNITURE OUTSIDE OUR ENTRY. BREAKFAST INFERIOR AND ROOM WAY TO SMALL FOR ALL GUESTS TO EAT IN. ROOM SUPERSMALL AND BED NOT COMFORTABLE. ALL ROOMS OFF HALLWAY THAT SMELLED. FELT LIKE A CAMP DORM. ICE MACHINE NOT FUNCTIONING. PEOPLE AT FRONT DESK WERE NOT ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH WELL.....

Review 38:VERY LITTLE TO LIKE. THERE WAS A REFRIGERATOR....

Review 39:I read all the bad reviews so I was prepared (unfortunately this was the only free hotel in Kanab) and we called it the "horror hostel". Luckily I was this prepared because this was true. First thing I saw was a big dead black croache on the floor left for us. The hall smelt very bad and the beds were too hard. Also it was very noisy. Wifi was very slow. I was glad this hotel was only for 1 day.

Review 40:Staf was very friendly, al little bit too smooth. The breakfast was okay, not as bad as the rest.

Review 41:Although the variety of breakfast foods is larger than many 2 star motels, I am allergic to gluten and soy therefore there were no choices for me (like yogurt and fruit).

Review 42:This property has changed ownership and has made several upgrades. The bed was great. The motel no longer seems as thread-bare and dingy. It was the last available room in this price range so we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised.

Review 43:The first room we were given smelled so bad of cigarettes we immediately asked to be given another room. The second room was down a dingy, scary hall and was so dingy I couldn't bring myself to sit on the bed. We left and stayed at the Holiday Inn. So much better!!!!

Review 44:The only thing I liked was the 9 or 10 year old young man who attempted to check us in. He was so cute.

Review 45:Room was small.. Outside Window in the room was real dirty.. The windows in the office/breakfast area were dirty. Breakfast was had less selection than others at this price..

Review 46:It was OK.. nice bathroom..

Review 47:The room is a bit small, and it was smelling a bit, but it was all good for a motel and for one night stay.

Review 48:Friendly staff, good location, good facilities, well working internet. Good value for the price and location near the Zion NP.

Review 49:Beds are terribly soft, they are not really comfortable to sleep in. We found some dirt, dust and a couple of hairs on towels. Air conditioner is too loud, it was impossible to sleep with it on, but it was as well impossible to sleep with the conditioner off because of the heat

Review 50:The location is perfect if you're going to Zion, Lake Powell or Horseshoe Bend. The inn is surprisingly clean and neat for this type of accommodation, clean bathroom, air conditioner, microwave oven and fridge. Their breakfast is absolutely great! There are waffles, toasts, good coffee and even oats.

Review 51:Clean room, refrigerator, coffee maker, indoor hallways. The rooms are vintage, so they are small, but I was impressed that the beds looked and felt like those from more expensive hotels

Review 52:The facilities are a bit run down but it looks like they may be in the process of updating some of it. There was a large spider in our room.

Review 53:The staff was very nice and efficient in check in. The waffles at breakfast were tasty.

Review 54:This hotel is held together literally by duck tape on hallway doors. Beds are old. Holes in walls.

Review 55:It was quiet. The ac worked. The bathroom had been remodeled.

Review 56:Overpriced for what you got, a 1950 or 60 vintage motel. The price was way to much for the condition the room was in. Breakfast??

Review 57:Unfortunately nothing

Review 58:I had a car accident on the way and didn't make to the hotel... In spite of calling them at 10pm and again at midnight with my status, they still refused to refund my room even though my car was totaled 60 miles away.

Review 59:The rooms were extremely small and the carpet needs to be replaced. It carried a little bit of a smell. The breakfast was 100% sugar and there was no eggs, bacon, sausage, or fruit.

Review 60:It was an inexpensive quick one night stay.

Review 61:Place felt run down. They had remodeled the bathroom but the shower head was spewing all over the place I felt the name of the place was deceptive. There was no quality where I would feel you could call them Suites.

Review 62:The night staff was very kind and gracious. We got there late.

Review 63:Overpriced for what you get. Not enough parking on a full night. Pretty small room. Beds were old and uncomfortable (mushy and could feel the springs). A/C unit not sufficient to cool the toom well. We were only there for 1 night, just to sleep, so not a huge deal.

Review 64:The couple at the front desk were very friendly and nice. The wi-fi was great in out room. The shower appeared to be very recently re-done, it was nice. Small fridge in room. Cable worked well.

Review 65:Everything was great, but I would be more convenient if you had a waste basket in the main room as well as the bathroom.

Review 66:Everything was great! We have stayed there before and were happy with our stay. The breakfast was really good. You could have some fruit though.

Review 67:More options at breakfast- less sweet options

Review 68:The staff were genuine, friendly and helpful. The motel room was a nice size and comfortable. Wifi was great.

Review 69:room had a strange smell.

Review 70:Fast wifi, polite owners and friendly little kid of owner who helps during checkin. we booked a room with 2 queen bed but got a king room without additional cost upon request.

Review 71:Where do I begin? The building wasn't secure because the doors to the outside didn't close properly. Our hotel room was also entered at midnight by someone else with a different key while we were all sleeping. There were holes in the wall where curtains had been removed. The breakfast was sugar sugar sugar. Waffles sugar cereal chocolate chip muffins and toast were the only offerings. Not even fruit! Lastly, we made a reservation on line for one night but had to extend the room for another night and were then charged an extra $50 for the second night. The management was disorganized and a simple question took forever to get answered while other customers waited.

Review 72:The hotel was available at the time we needed one.

Review 73:Room is too small and not convenient. The air is not bright and almost all things are old.

Review 74:All staff are kind and comfortable. I think it is one of cheapest ones near that area.

Review 75:no soft drink machine. closet did not need a four drawer dresser which took up all of the space for a hanging clothes bag for a one night stay. Not enough access to electrical outlets for charging laptop and phones. too expensive compared to major chains in other towns. Did not compare to other local motels.

Review 76:wifi was great

Review 77:The other family we were traveling with did not have a fridge. Queen beds instead of doubles would be nice. The owner/manager said there were only a couple of restaurants in town, one being the one across the street that was expensive and very full. There at least 10 others when we went looking.

Review 78:Room was clean, good TV selection, decent breakfast.

Review 79:The beds were very soft, so much so, my husband thought his bed was broken. The room was really small

Review 80:The young boy was very polite. The room was clean.

Review 81:The room is the smallest I have ever been in. I did not expect that. There were bloody boogers on the bathroom walls and holes all over in the "closet". The mattress was bigger than the box spring and you had to unplug the air conditioner to plug in the TV. Not a great place.

Review 82:We were only there for 10 hours.

Review 83:Really rundown place Dirty and bit smelly - trouble to breath at night AC making such a heavy noise that had to be turned off Can't close bathroom door Big hole in the bath ceiling Beds to soft Especially I did not like and saw for the first time - used/dated envelope with note asking a tip for housekeeping! Because of this I almost not left anything an I usually tip the maids. At the end I left usual $ but this evelope is disgusting. Breakfast only till 9am

Review 84:Not much: Water pressure Surprisingly strong wifi Ok breakfast Nice manager Good Mexican restaurant across the street

Review 85:The courtyard needs a little attention. Nowhere for smokers to put their cigarette butts so the grounds are littered. A few carefully placed outdoor ashtrays would solve the problem.

Review 86:Lovely warm hospitality, the room was clean and spotless. Wifi was good, bathroom had a great shower. Location is wonderful for Zion east entrance. Coffee and basics available for breakfast, fantastic Mexican restaurant directly across the road.

Review 87:The inside needs renovation. It isn't bad, but it isn't as bright and new as the outside.

Review 88:Outside was clean and colorful. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection.

Review 89:Room was poorly decorated and lit. Did not look modern or clean. Bathroom was as basic as indoor plumbing can be. There was a picture frame on the wall containing OSB (sub-flooring material), and that's it. Telephone was partially disassembled. Sheets were threadbare. Proprietors put an envelope out for "housekeeping tips". Molding on the walls was done by someone not familiar with woodworking. Damaged and non-functioning bathroom door. Wifi signal weak and intermittent.

Review 90:Location was on our way. Continental breakfast was nice, but what was coming out of the cranberry juice machine was not cranberry juice.

Review 91:Rooms were very small and beds a bit uncomfortable (though that could just be my taste)

Review 92:Staff were friendly and helpful, very conveniently located for bryce and Zion national parks.

Review 93:We travelers expect ICE machine at motels. At this Royal Inn the "out of order" notice was weathered and showed that it had been the excuse for many months.

Review 94:For location/money a reasonable value.

Review 95:Air conditioner took forever to cool down the place. Strange smell. 11 year old boy helping check us in. No tub.

Review 96:This is the smallest motel room I've ever seen. The news were exceptionally comfy though.

Review 97:The smell - In a room an in the Hallway - No wi fi - The carpet was dirty and spotted No ice available - We would not recommande this hotel

Review 98:not much

Review 99:The bed was the worst that I have been on since my honeymoon 45 years prior. It was like trying to sleep on a bean bag. Improve the beds and it will greatly help your rating.

Review 100:Staff was pleasant.

Review 101:the room where you fix your breakfast was a little small but it was still ok.

Review 102:The room was clean, the beds soft and it was very quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

Review 103:Television didn't really work.

Review 104:Nice host. Quiet and clean room. Usual standard. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good - an usual range of choices.

Review 105:Manager screwed up our credit card transactions and told us to wait 5mins. We've been waiting for 45 mins in order to get his attentionagain. Have never encountered such rudeness in customer-facing business.Bed is too soft and my back is still in pain.

Review 106:Manager was very helpful with a special request I had Hotel's town is nice. It has two supper markets, a few fast food restaurants and is 1 hour form Zion & Bryce NPs and a good place to stay for Grand Canyon NP north rim

Review 107:The first room the air conditioner did not work. The second room had black mold under the bathroom cabinet. The beds were so soft it was hard to get up from. The shower head leaked all over the toilet, toilet paper, floor.

Review 108:The location.

Review 109:The manager's were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. This motel is located centrally to all the major canyon attractions making visiting each of them so much easier

Review 110:The room was extremely small. The bed frame was broken. The toilet seat was missing patches of its coating. The TV was small and ancient.

Review 111:The manager was very nice. The bathroom had been recently re-tiled.

Review 112:Facility itself is old...

Review 113:location was excellent. Facing the main road in Kana and short walk to the visitor center where the 'Wave' lottery is held. Shops and restaurants are also closeby.

Review 114:*The receptionist was sleepy when we came around 11pm *the room wasclaustrophobic *beds waaay too soft (not comfortable, not to mention badfor your back) *first thing you see after opening the door to your roomis an envelope asking for tips! What for? *Table was rickety and fallingapart - health hazard

Review 115:*To wake up and leave on our way *breakfast waffle machine was awesome

Review 116:Breakfast was okay but the smell of curry spoiled the experience. WIFI didn't work in the room and had to be used in the office. Again, the smell of curry. We only stayed one night and moved 1/2 mile to stay the next three nights for a cheaper price.

Review 117:Beds were comfortable

Review 118:Small room, half the size you get at any Motel 6 or cheap chain motels. Price is too high for the quality and value you get. Rude staff. An old Indian employee started to yell during breakfast at one the guests loudly for not using the coffee machine appropriately. All this while 3-4 other guests were watching. Needless to say, embarrassing guests before other guests is not good for business.

Review 119:Breakfast was okay, but even for toast and coffee it was average at best. Location is not bad if you need a one night stopover in the city. Not recommended for anything longer than 1 night stay.

Review 120:Ridiculously overpriced for what we got. Zero hot water, view of the local cemetery from one end and a wrecking yard in the other. Windows and carpet were both filthy. Froze to death throughout the night since the heater sounded like a light aircraft.

Review 121:Four walls and wifi.

Review 122:It was a bit too expensive... We have been in bigger and better places for less money

Review 123:Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, good breakfast, good position for the town center, Zion and Grand Canyon north rim

Review 124:The Inn was extremely run down and dirty. The towels were old and grey, the shower tiles were grubby (I wished I had brought flops to wear in the shower), the bedding was off white and the mattress sunk in the middle. Worst of all, I found what looked like pubic hairs around the toilet!

Review 125:The Inn is located close to the Grand Canyon North rim.

Review 126:The facility is old and needs updates. Opened the fridge and it smelled moldy. There was a lamp between the beds but the switch was broken so could not turn on.

Review 127:They offered a good breakfast and the staff was nice and the rooms were clean.

Review 128:The staffs were rude sometimes with my group of friends and the wi-fi was very slowly.

Review 129:Good place to stay for visiting the parks in Utah. Also, the breakfast is excellent.

Review 130:like most similar places, breakfast is not really breakfast- toast, waffle, some juice. WiFi is often hard to connect to

Review 131:comfy bed, good price for the town, easy to get in and out

Review 132:The sink was blocked, the lobby smell like Indian food. We paid and booked for 4 adults there were only 2 thin medium and 2 small old warn towels. The room were small. The place are not very clean.

Review 133:small, crowded and outdated room, was unable to connect to WiFi from room.

Review 134:location and the waffle making machine at breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 135:Had a room with 2 beds in it. Both of the beds had no support in the middle and sunk in making for two nights of poor sleep. Not worth the low cost. Next time I stay in Kanab I'll pay ore to get better beds.

Review 136:The bedroom was really dity. A lot of long black hair was in the shower and the housekeeper asking for tip because of her "good" work... The wifi was absolutely useless. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and too narrow for two. Fortunately there was an athor bed in the room, but we spent here one night of our honeymoon...

Review 137:I can't mention anything.

Review 138:I was expecting a front entry motel but it is slightly different. There are numerous front entries that take you into a hallway and on to your room. The room was clean and in good condition.
