Review 4：The price was a little more than I expected to pay. But to be honest, I am not familiar with the market for that location. The furnishings were on the beginning side of being "dated" but it was not offensive by any means. Perhaps just a different tast than of my interest. I would likely stay there again if the opportunity came.
Review 5：We very much enjoyed Half Moon Bay. This was our first experience with this fun little town. It's Italia had the best hawaiian pizza i have ever tasted. they called "Mavericks" The Hotel was near the ocean. we could see and hear the ocean from our room it was very relaxing. The staff were attentive, but not overbearing. The breakfast provided was very good, better than I expected.

Review 15：We were greeted in such a warm friendly manner and enjoyed the wine and cheese and conversation. The room's view of the ocean was amazing. We loved the fireplace and sitting area. One of the breakfast choices was pumpkin pancakes! We'd definitely return!
Review 16：Booked a "sea-view" room that wasn't (I believe the hotel is in the process of amending their booking.com entry and gave me a 50% refund). Weird ironing centre from the 1950s didn't work (knob missing), nor did the iron. In room Keurig is a nice touch but "breakfast blend" coffee is utterly foul.

Review 56：Door had no sound insulation so could hear every word of every conversation outside our door and we were right next to reception. Some parts of decor felt dated, and looked worn. E.g. Some old fashioned tiling in bathroom and some worn woodwork. Bed comfy but quite narrow. Shower no better than average. Not much to see or do in immediate vicinity apart from beach /sea.

In some ways a little old fashioned and may not be to everyone's taste but you get an idea of this from website photos. Location right on the water front. Our room had direct ocean view. Beautiful sunset and nice to hear waves from bed. Short walk to a good bar / restaurant. Not much else close by but only stayed overnight so didn't explore much. Breakfast was better than expected. Good basic selection and one home made hot option which was delicious. Also offered canapés and drinks in the evening but we didn't know about this so missed it the day we arrived. Generally nice ambience. Nice communal room with fireplace. Nice to have fireplace in bedroom. V easy and safe to operate. Quite expensive given it's not near much apart from sea, but actually felt like good value due to the nice touches and personal service. Free parking and free wifi always nice.

Wifi in the room was slow but we just had to go in the dining room that is comfy and cosy and where you appreciate to spend time (fireplace, seats and view outside). Breakfast where amazing! Review 62：This hotel is awfully expensive for what it offers: Ok, it is in front of the beach but the beach can be accessed from anywhere. We were given a room at street level (probably the worse because you cannot have privacy and enjoy the view at the same time) and you can hear people coming in and out at the lobby/reception. Bed comfortable but everything else very basic easily found in any motel. Not worth the price (perhaps worth half of the price even considering that California is generally very expensive)
