Reviews for Club Hotel Barbarossa

Review 1:sleepy guy at the "restaurant" very lean meal (no advertised bufet, just some fixed stuff in your plate; to be honest we were offered to choose what should we like for diner (not for breakfast) - fish or chicken, but that was just about the only thing we could decide by ourselves) no water in pools. I can understant that it was the midle of October and the season of big tourist flocks was ended, but the temperature was around 25-30 degrees by Celsius, so it was not out of the season in the sence of climate outside showers were swiched off ("out of seson"?), so if you want to wash off the salt water after swim at the sea, you had to go to your room... stairwell was messy and all the time "furnished" by some buckets, plastic bottles and brooms balcony was quite messy too

Review 2:very nice guy at the reception (he'd also upgraded our room without any aditional payment) nice view of Kizkalesi from the window and just in front of the beach of the hotel

Review 3:I spent only one night in Barbarossa but it was enough to desire visiting there again! The room was clean with a nice view, the bed was comfortable and large enough..the buffet was wonderful both in the morning and evening..you can taste variety of food..the best thing in this hotel is definitely the staff! They were so kind and always ready for helping..Clean swimming pools and sea, clean rooms, delicious food and smiling staff...What can you seek more for an amazing holiday!

Review 4:Everything was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent . I planned to stay just for a day but changed my mind and stayed at Club Hotel Barbarossa for two weeks. The location is fantastic. I want to thank the General Manager Selahattin Salih Tulgar and the entire staff all the hotel. Club Hotel Barbarossa is highly recommended.

Review 5:Beds were very uncomfortable, and no blankets were provided, just sheets, and we had to find those in the closet. AC did not maintain temp well so we were either hot or cold most of the night. Room was sold as a triple with room for 2 adults and two kids, and technically we all fit, but you pretty much had to climb over the beds to get in or out of the room because it was so tight.

Review 6:The staff was extremely friendly, best part of the hotel. Outstanding beach with provided umbrellas, especially for small kids. Two pools with provided umbrellas were nice too. The food provided was decent, but you could get better from a restaurant in town.

Review 7:Hotel was not very clean, staff was hard to find, food was very mediocre and one of our friends even got sick from it. We've stayed at other properties in Kiz, and I wanted to try this one out since they had a pool. But with so many kids around it wasn't that relaxing - so we just went back to the beach.

Review 8:Location to the beach is great. That's about it.

Review 9:There was LOUD music until midnight in the courtyard area.

Review 10:I liked being able to walk out to the beach and have a lounge chair and umbrella waiting for guests. In the afternoon, when the wind picked up it was great to be able to go to back to the pool but still be in the sun.

Review 11:this hotel is rated as 4 stars hotel, it's a bit much, 3 stars at most, an old hotel need to renovate

Review 12:I liked the hotel because it's cosy, nice garden, beach was good, the food was tasty even thou not much varieties but still good, staff very friendly and for the price it's really a very good deal

Review 13:The only negative was the wifi was intermittant. The signal was not strong in my room or not at all.

Review 14:Everything! I loved being able to walk out to the beach and everything was ready to enjoy the day in the sun. The pool was fantastic as well in the late afternoon.

Review 15:The noise of the airconditioning units which made sitting out on the balconies unpleasant. The balconies did not get swept.

Review 16:The beachfront of the hotel could not be more perfect - looking out over a castle to sea and another at the end of the bay on the land. Make sure you explore both. The Greek ruins in the hills an hours drive away are also a must. The buffet dinner (half board) was suprisingly good.

Review 17:I didn't like that you had to be in the room for the lights to stay on by putting the room key in the wall. It was very hot and if we left and came back we had to wait for the AC to cool the room back off.

Review 18:I like the fact that they have a spot sectioned off on the beach for guests. They also serve good dinner and breakfast and is in a great location for walking.

Review 19:hotel staff, restaurant and facilities in hibernation mode - hotel room and corridors untidy

Review 20:upgrade to a suite

Review 21:WiFi was useless

Review 22:Location. Evening meal was quite good. Red wine surprisingly good.

Review 23:Nothing really

Review 24:The location to the beach, staff, breakfast and dinner.

Review 25:Some amenities are not as advertised such as the fitness area being non-existent.

Review 26:Location was outstanding, restaurant was decent, staff was great.

Review 27:Needs a big renovation. The price is too high for what it is

Review 28:Reception staff where not very helpful Drinks and bar snacks veryexpensive 10 lira for tost Being charged 7.50 lira extra for orangejuice at breakfast

Review 29:Great location right on the beach.

Review 30:Lousy hotel, very badly managed. Incompetent staff both, at the front desk and at the restaurant. Dingy rooms which would need an overall fresh up. Obviously, we were there off-season. However, difficult to believe that things would be substantially better during the high season.

Review 31:The view to the castle island in front of the hotel.
