Review 5：I specifically reserved a double-bed room, but upon arrival it was a twin-bed situation. We waited for hot water for over an hour and a half and had to argue three times with the receptionist over the fact that we couldn't take a shower. Wi-Fi signal is non-existent. There's no lift. Location is away from virtually everything - centre, shops, museums, fortress. The breakfast room is small and there is no buffet, you need to order - but there is no menu either. Bath towels are rough and scrubby, and there was only one robe.

Review 15：We had to check out quite early and there was no trouble for the front desk agent to help with coffee. We really recommend. We actually chose to stay here even if we had to go out of our way, that much we liked it.

Review 19：The place is great, good location (next to a Kaufland), everything is new, modern and clean. I had an apartment, which was warm and cosy and had a very well equipped kitchinette. The Internet worked perfectly. The free parking in their backyard (added security) is a bonus!

Review 20：The shower head was loose and caused some minor flooding. The front door was locked (and no one at the front desk got up to open it), so I went downstairs to the mini-mart and learned that I needed to "Bing-bong." So I rang the doorbell. Also, the location is not near much--I thought it was close to the fort, but you wouldn't want to walk there. It was ok. I wouldn't mind if I had to stay there again, but I would most likely choose another location that better suited my needs. It was a last minute reservation for a weekend road-trip while I was on a 2-week business trip to Timisoara. If I did it over again, I would have not spent a night in Deva--but visited the fort, then Hunedoara, then driven to Sibiu.

Review 22：Beautiful modern rooms/apartments with great facilities, warm and friendly atmosphere, very nice staff. We will definitely come again, we really enjoyed our stay.

Review 23：Everything else was a disappointment. This is the first time that we have booked via booking.com to find that what is advertised did actually not exist. We booked a junior Suite which advertised a large bed ( we found 2 twins that were joined together) a very hard bed, we ended up sleeping on the sofa the first night as the the bed was just impossible to rest on. When we questioned the room, the staff were very rude and unhelpful. The room also advertised a kitchenette, a tumble dryer, a phone, wifi, 2 bathrooms, and so on. We were actually told by staff that the room described in on Booking.com does not actually exist. For night 2 and 3 we were moved to a different apartment, which had a big double bed, however the smell of drains was so bad that we had to confine to sleeping on the sofa, AGAIN. Also, it is not advertised that you need to take several flights of steps to the rooms and no lift, so carrying your suitcases upstairs can be a problem. The biggest complaint was against the way staff and management handled our booking. They were rude, unapologetic and argumentative. Parking is also an issue as it is gated, therefore you have to get out of the car and go into reception to request for them to open the gates every time you come and go. I would not recommend this guesthouse and I don't believe it reflects the 5 stars it claims. Housekeeping was extremely poorly, it basically just involved them checking the minibar. The beds were not tidied up, towels not changed and the bathroom bins had not been emptied since God knows when. Disappointed!

Review 69：1. The staff is horrible begining with the "manager". It happened that my reservation was with breakfast, but theirs was without. I refused to pay extra because I considered that if there was a mistake that should be solved with booking.com. The manager mailed me and used words inappropriate. Booking solved it quickly and told me it was their mistake. After that I offered to pay by bank transfer the amount of 20 RON (4.45 euro) but she continued to offend me. 2. They do not have a restaurant as they claim. 3. Be aware that they close the hotel at any time and if you want to get to your room you have to call them on the phone. I spend over 20 min. in front of the hotel with my wife and two kids (3 and 5) trying to get hold of someone.

I actually think it is one of the nicest hotels in Rumania - we felt like kings ! At breakfast we got wonderful things served by the staff, not only a buffet. We were asked how we would like the eggs etc. There is a superb restaurant not too far away called SAVA which I could recommend, too.

Review 78：The hotel is architectural nonsense - represents two buildings a few meters from each other. There are many stairs , but there is no elevator. The rooms have no balcony and our view was not. Town center is too far and you need a car. There is no restaurant in hotel, and is no restaurant within easy walking distance of the hotel. Our room had no view and looked at the back of the front hotels building.A lot of noise from the street outside the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.

We can recommend this Hotel to anybody going to Deva. We didn't find the restaurant on site but Deva city center offers many possibility to have a good meal.

Review 84：The receptionists were very friendly, we loved the 3 spacious room that we rented for one night, all was very clean, the breakfast was delicious. It rained all day almost... but Deva is small and charming! The rooms are quite pricey by European or Romanian standards, but the accommodation is very very very comfortable, almost luxurious!! A true 4 star. And super clean.

Review 85：This negative became a positive in the end, due to the special kindnessof the receptionist. There was a guy smoking in the breakfast room, butthe receptionist told him to stop smoking, opened the window and the fanand the smoke went away. Lots of Romanian smoke in restaurants, a veryunhealthy habit that bothers many tourists; but we had some very clean,impeccable non-smoking apartments. Thanks!!

Review 86：Very spacious, The stay was great, we booked 3 large rooms, they turnedout to be 2-room apartments with double beds and sofa beds, a luxury wedid not expect!! And the hotel rooms were clean, with great service, andnice receptionists. Food was great (breakfast only) and plentiful.
