Reviews for Safari Inn Downtown Boise
Review 1:They allow smokers to smoke on steps to the rooms...smells like your walking in ash tray. Charged $200.00 for room deposit in case you destroy your room....seemed excesive
Review 2:Booked queen bed, got a tiny (cosy?) double. Breakfast was a bit sad, although we didn't expect much. Nothing worth complaining about.
Review 3:Location, location, location. Hotel is basic, but pleasant.
Review 4:There is not enough parking so we park on the street. They do have overflow parking across the street.
Review 5:It was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was okay but not great. Convenient to downtown.
Review 6:The shower couldn't figure out what temperature to be. The breakfast was lacking. But that stuff isn't really that important anyways. Still a great place!
Review 7:The location was great, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 8:Noise in the wee hours of the morning. Not the fault of the hotel though, but construction making lots of noise next to the Safari Inn.
Review 9:Location - downtown
Review 10:the assistant manager checked us in and was very rude and seemed bored with her job...the breakfast left much to be desired.
Review 11:The location was great and the rooms were very clean!
Review 12:Had some issues with the shower water holding a temp... went from hot to cold. I never thought to mention it when I left. Not sure if it was a water pressure issue or what. Breakfast was a bit sparse when I got there but adequate.
Review 13:Bed was comfortable, room was quiet. NO problems or issues with checkout. Floors were clean. I always check mattresses and it looked brand new. I always love the giraffe in the lobby. LOL For the area, the price was the cheapest and I trust it to be clean.
Review 14:The handicap facilities were inadequate. There was only a grab bar in the bathtub which didn't help you get out of the tub and the toilet paper roll was quite a reach for a handicapped person.
Review 15:Close to everything, very comfortable, all the employees were very friendly, very pet friendly.
Review 16:Not very comfortable..small parking area . Shower and sink way too low. I am a bit of a hotel brat...usually stay at Marriot Hotels or The Hilton so my opinion is a little biased
Review 17:Friendly Staff
Review 18:Staff was less than charming, one girl at check in counter was obviously disapproving of lesbians. Was very short and had an attitude. I will still stay at this hotel again, though, price is one of cheapest for the quality and location.
Review 19:Price and location
Review 20:The parking was a bit cramped to get in and out of especially during a busy weekend like BSU graduation.
Review 21:When you book a hotel downtown you always figure there will be noise from the city, however I was pleasantly surprised how quiet my room was. My room was facing 11th street and the noise was hardly noticeable. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. A bit outdated with decor but that wasn't a problem since it didn't smell like it was an older hotel. Very pet friendly and appreciate the friendly front desk staff.
Review 22:The bed was very uncomfortable. Motel's Parking for ones vehicle is very constrained. However if one doesn't mind walking, just park your car in motel's lot and venture out to a variety of Boise's downtown venues and restaurants.
Review 23:We liked the proximity to great eateries. Great choices for eating out is all in walking distance of the Safari Inn. We liked the Farmer's Market across from the motel on Saturday mornings. If you want more, walk to the town center for more.
Review 24:Bath was dirty/hair. Pulled bed down, found water bottle on the floor by bed. Bath sink drain was VERY slow/plugged. Asked about a different room, was told no because of booking through booking.com. no refund.
Review 25:The location is good if you need to be downtown. I have stayed here previously and was pleased. Not the same experience this time.
Review 26:Noisy neighbors (not the hotel's fault), breakfast and coffee not very good. Parking was a nightmare. TV was minuscule. Basically the draw of this place is that it's in downtown Boise, and the ride on that alone. Not much effort is made otherwise.
Review 27:Right in the middle of downtown Boise, close to all the bars and restaurants. You can park your car and see the sights on foot.
Review 28:Room was cleaned well except for coffee bar area; was restocked but not cleaned up.
Review 29:Close to great restaurants and not really far from anything you'd like to do in the city. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. So happy over how quiet the air conditioner/heater was and how well it worked.
Review 30:My only item to wish was different was the showerhead. Admittedly I'm a snob here, but both the height of the head and the power of the spray would have been better for me if the head were higher and the water flow more powerful. That said however I showered just fine and the water flow was enough to get my hair rinsed well. :)
Review 31:We were less than a five minute walk to the Grove, where our conference was held. The Inn's location couldn't have been better! Pillows were plentiful and the beds very comfortable; everything was so clean!
Review 32:had to walk too far from parking to room, and had to walk across the parking lot, and across the street to take my dog out to go to the bathroom...
Review 33:helpfulness of staff
Review 34:I have stayed here a few times. This place is within walking distance of all the downtown attractions. A good clean comfortable room and you can't beat the value.
Review 35:breakfast had too many sugary options, and few healthy ones. I brought my own bread to toast in their toaster. Was glad they had at least hard boiled eggs for breakfast.
Review 36:location, well priced for what you got
Review 37:They could improve the selection at the breakfast.
Review 38:Great location. This motel has really improved over what they were like a few years ago. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown, and the staff was very friendly.
Review 39:the continental breakfast had no variety. It wasn't very good
Review 40:love the location, most amenities, clean, comfortable beds, always stay there when I go to Boise.
Review 41:My Doctors office faxed paperwork twice in order for me to get a discount on my room. The girl at the front desk said that it did not show up without even looking. I had to come back to the hotel after my appt. I usually would not mind but was on a limited income to have my daughter see a specialist.
Review 42:The staff is usually friendly. The rooms and facilities are always great.
Review 43:Breakfast selection very limited (bread items, yogurt, fruit cup), and for two days there was no yogurt at all. Rooms and corridors had stale odor, carpet and upholstery needed cleaning.
Review 44:Excellent location, rooms are spacious, staff helpful with an air conditioning issue.
Review 45:The room was smaller in size than it appeared to be on the website. There was no overhead light in the microwave/frig/closet area. The parking spaces were very narrow.
Review 46:Friendly staff...location was excellent for our needs.
Review 47:location, attractiveness of room. the big window with a view

Review 60:The bed was incomfortable
Review 61:Central location at a reasonable price
Review 62:Zero
Review 63:Excellent location.
Review 64:Way to much construction. They had us blocked in our parking space and when we left, our car was filthy from the dust they generated.
Review 65:Safari Inn is a great location in downtown Boise. I enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Review 66:Room space
Review 67:Close to center Breakfast Shuttle
Review 68:Wifi was slow. Breakfast was inedible, entire lobby smelled of reheated hard boiled eggs.
Review 69:Location near conference center
Review 70:The rest
Review 71:Parking
Review 72:wall heater cycles on/off - very loud.
Review 73:the walls are paper thin and the neighbor upstairs was very noisy
Review 74:tv reception was poor
Review 75:comfortable room close to downtown
Review 76:Noisy fan in the in-room heating unit.
Review 77:size of room and downtown location. Fast and free WiFi and free parking.
Review 78:Friendly, competent staff. Clean facility. Proximity to downtown.
Review 79:There were items left in the fridge from the previous guest. The window sill was dirty. There were some stains on the chair.
Review 80:Could be a little sharper on fine points of cleaning. Hard to tell if dirty or just worn out in a few areas.
Review 81:Great overall experience
Review 82:Gym, WiFi and location
Review 83:Very Good Position Walking Distance from Restaurants, Shops, Capitol
Review 84:Ah, get back to you on this one. So far, nothing.
Review 85:City location. Pool. Room. Parking.
Review 86:The furniture was a little dated, but clean and comfortable.
Review 87:We were able to walk to everything we needed downtown.
Review 88:Nothing I can think of.

Review 91:No flat-screen tv
Review 92:Beds Staff
Review 93:The floors were dirty.
Review 94:The staff was great!
Review 95:Friendly staff, great location near downtown, clean rooms and very nice outside pool and hot tub
Review 96:Room was dirty
Review 97:Location to downtown is good
Review 98:The parking is a little tight. Also, their continental breakfast could be improved by adding just a few more selections.
Review 99:The staff was very helpful. Clean rooms, relatively quite and always a nice place for the money. Within a short walking distance of great bars and restaurants.
Review 100:Cigarette ashes on the blanket. Makeup on the sheets near the pillows. Stairwells had a bad smell, like a funeral home.
Review 101:Location near downtown was walking distance
Review 102:The property description does not mention that "Mulligan's Pub and Eatery" with outdoor seating was right next to some rooms. Extremely loud crowd and music until 2 AM. Staff was "aware and sorry" but their wi-fi "for some reason doesn't work properly with Apple products" (iPad /iPhones) Sometimes it would work - other times "no internet connection" Had to use public computer in lobby several times.
Review 103:Friendly helpful staff - excellent downtown location
Review 104:yesterday when checking out around 6:10 am, nobody was at the counter for almost 10 minutes. he was in the bathroom. Thinking he might have been ill, I asked how he was feeling. he said "better than you." Took me aback a little.
Review 105:location and price is reason we stay here.
Review 106:Breakfast was skeletal, although I did arrive later during the time period.
Review 107:Pleasantly surprised for a modest-priced facility. Location is excellent -- downtown close to restaurants, freeway, everything.
Review 108:The staff are always friendly. I appreciate that when I have meetings scheduled nearby the Safari allows me to park my car in the morning before I am able to check in.
Review 109:Our room was RIGHT next to a very loud bar. Even with out window closed you could hear the bar all night very loud and hard to sleep. Continental breakfast was not good. It was one small cabinet of stale bread products and pastries.
Review 110:Good location downtown. Close to everything. Cheap
Review 111:Room was a bit dirty when we checked in...the bedding might have been dirty as my girlfriend developed some sort of rash during our stay there...
Review 112:Loved the location and convenience!
Review 113:Room #363 Wi-Fi was sporadic or difficult to use (more access points on the network might fix this). Cable TV reception was not satisfactory, especially for local channels.
Review 114:Room #363. I liked having the daily local newspaper available rather than USA Today. Coffee always available. Adequate breakfast selection. Helpful staff. Good location.
Review 115:Need to get a larger plastic spoon for cereal eaters - small spoons are a pain in the butt
Review 116:The Staff was friendly and very helpful pointing out the location of business in downtown Boise
Review 117:The bar downstairs was pretty noisy into the early hours. The continental breakfast was slim pickins.
Review 118:I really liked the staff and how helpful they were. The location was great for what we were doing. We were just a walk away from where we needed to be.
Review 119:Noise transmission from room to room may be a little higher than some.
Review 120:Location convenient to my meeting, near by restaurants outstanding, staff were polite and helpful. Cleanliness was exemplary.
Review 121:The room needs updated regarding the lamp shades, wall paper in the bathroom and overall maintenance The TV didn't come in too well on some stations and that was probably the cause of a really old coaxial cable The "breakfast" was non existent at 7am
Review 122:The location is pretty good Parking
Review 123:The WiFi was not great. Connection was very slow at times.
Review 124:The location in Downtown Boise is conveniently located near several bars and restaurants. Very safe. Older property, but very well kept. Overall, impressed with my stay. Would stay there again
Review 125:Decor quite dated and worn. Continental breakfast quite limited.
Review 126:Good location for walking to downtown areas. Right price for a stay when not in the room much.
Review 127:The hotel is in a very good position, the room was large and well cleaned and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I really recommend it also for the very good price-quality ratio.
