Reviews for Inn at the Oaks
Review 1:The house, on three floors, is lovely. Many sitting rooms downstairs, with fireplaces and bowindows looking on the beautiful gardens, wher you can sip teas or read a book. The rooms are prettily furnished, some are large and comfortable while the smaller rooms under the roof are really cozy, with antique pieces, like claw-foot tubs, in the bathroon also. Large and rich breakfast buffet. The staff is amazing and ready to help: we were a large family group and they went out of their way to accomodate us in the best way. The only flaw in the location is the proximity to the highway, but the garden around the house is large and full of trees, and keep the noises away. On the other side, the access to the wonderful cycle paths is just there (and you can rent bycicles just around the corner).
Review 2:None at all!
Review 3:Lovely and sooooo clean. The house is beautiful and cape cod cozy. The room was perfect, Staff helpful and right there when we needed them. I have been staying on the cape for years and hated all the motels, this is our new place, for sure. look forward to going back!
Review 4:Put up in the wrong room for 1st night of 3 night stay. This was a small room with limited amenities, a wash basin that could not be used, a wasp infestation and a noisy air conditioning unit that could not be controlled. A reduction for that night was requested but was refused.
Review 5:Located near Cape Cod beaches and Provincetown
Review 6:Just had to kill 3 yellowjackets that found their way into bedroom. Were on 3rd floor and stairs were very narrow snd steep
Review 7:Very quaint Inn. Kelly was very friendly. Bedroom was very basic . Bed was comfortable. . Breakfast was very good. Loved the old southern yellow pine flooring old trim. Beautiful grounds. Reasonable rates. Simple and relaxing
Review 8:The only thing I would say is that the bathroom was a bit basic and probably needs a refurbishment as the Inn was quite expensive ( BUT it was August on the Cape).
Review 9:The Inn felt like a lovely home. There were 3 living rooms you can use and a dining room with a fridge. The breakfast was very good and there were cookies and coffee in the afternoon. Our room was lovely with interesting furniture. Staff very helpful. Beach chairs and parasols available to borrow.
Review 10:Nothing, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.
Review 11:The staff was WONDERFUL, extremely friendly, accommodating, and so willing to do anything to make our stay wonderful!
Review 12:If there was a downside to our stay, it was only that our English travel companions who are not used to A/C, found the central air system to be louder than expected. Being from CT, my husband and I were not bothered by the sounds. After the first night, the A/C didn't bother anyone.
Review 13:The Inn At The Oaks is beautiful and is well represented by the photos online, but it is the countless little touches that made the stay so special - the handwritten note on our bed, the cookies and lemonade, the numerous cozy seating areas, the wealth of local information made available, s'mores supplies, beach chairs and so much more. We will be returning.
Review 14:Inn at the Oaks was friendly and welcoming from the minute we checked in. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable and the staff kept us well supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed the generous continental breakfast, the delicious cookies and lemonade in the afternoon and hot drinks any time.
Review 15:Stay here! :0) It's great! They try to give you all the best - sopolite and helpful! The room was big and so clean - comfortable! Thebreakfast is fresh and appetizing and you can enjoy it in cozysurroundings! Inn at the Oaks is recommendable!
Review 16:The "Inn folks" were very friendly, helpful and run a seemless operation. It was quiet and extremely comfortable....home away from home. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Eastham or Cape Cod.
Review 17:Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. From beginning of stay to end, staff made you feel very welcome. Always available and helpful to answer any and all questions. Being pet friendly made it ideal for our stay.
Review 18:excellent atmosphere and good value for the location and amenities. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We were able to sit in the living room for the evening and met several other guests while there. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Review 19:no WLAN in the adjacent cottage. A little bit of a bad smell in the cottage.
Review 20:This is a very cosy Victorian guest house wiht a large garden (including fire place). It reminded us to South African guest houses with all the small decorations. You are allowed to use the various living rooms including the main room with a fire place. Home made cookies with the afternoon coffee. We stayed in the roof top of the cottage, very nicely decorated: the single beds were separated by sails hanging from the ceiling hiding the view to the parent's queen bed. Nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad etc..
Review 21:Nothing!
Review 22:We loved the country feeling. We enjoyed having our coffee on the porch one morning and meeting new people in the breakfast room the next. Coast Guard Beach is so close to the Inn. What a good location.
Review 23:Everything was great; however, we discovered we didn't care much for the shower arrangement in the bath of the Captain's Room.
Review 24:Hospitality, antique furniture, relaxed atmosphere, readily available information about CC, comfortable bed, fire pit, morning breakfast
Review 25:WEW enjoyed every aspect of our stay, from the room to the bed to the main house and the fire pit. Wonderful!!!
Review 26:We stayed in the carriage house that was well appointed with a king bed beautiful antiques, and a clean bathroom
Review 27:We got the lighthouse suite as travelling with our two teenage sons. This should not be advertised for 4 people. The second bed was so small that they had to sleep head to toes to be somewhat comfortable. The wifi was a bit of an issue too, worked in main house but not in outer house. Shouldn't be advertised if not working. Minute bathroom.
Review 28:Lovely main building, comfortable home feel and delicious goodies for breakfast.
Review 29:the breakfast started late so it wasn:t convenient if you wanted to get an early start.
Review 30:the location was across the street from the National Seashore so it made it easy to get to.
Review 31:One minor detail--would have liked a few books available for casual reading, novels, magazines, etc.
Review 32:Cleanliness and comfort were great. We also liked the option of helping ourselves to breakfast--food was very adequate, no complaints. Staff was very helpful with questions about the area. Thanks.
Review 33:Very small bathroom
Review 34:Large balcony overlooking the garden area Centrally located on the Cape
Review 35:WiFi was a little weak.
Review 36:Comfortable, homely - lovely staff and breakfast.
Review 37:breakfast was terrible, mostly store bought cake.
Review 38:the staff were incredibly kind and pleasant at ALL times
Review 39:Great staff, we felt so much at home!! Thank You Kelly, Marc & the others!!!
Review 40:very relaxing, staff shows you around, and then you are able to do whatever you want.
Review 41:very small rooms and very small bath which is ok for one person only.
Review 42:social rooms were plenty
Review 43:The feeling of being at home in a lovely environment. Every detail had been thought of.
Review 44:very welcoming staff, nice "public" spaces with fireplace and library, quiet despite proximity to street, good breakfast
Review 45:Very welcoming staff, lovely building, great breakfast
Review 46:Location and pet-friendly.
Review 47:small dog barking early on the morning
Review 48:just about everything - fantastic from start to finish
Review 49:Great character
Review 50:cleanliness of Inn Friendly Staff Lounging areas continental breadfast
Review 51:This was our second time staying here and we plan to come back again. They have a friendly staff and they offered to upgrade us to a nicerroom free of charge (perhaps because it was off season). I love that youcan control the heat in your room and it is silent heat. They have freebreakfast, which they didn't advertise on the booking.comreservation. It's a warm and charming place.
Review 52:The inn is located precisely where we like for getting onto the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast choices were just what we like. This was our third stay at this inn and we will go back again.
Review 53:No wine and cheese in early evening; hearing traffic on road in morning.
Review 54:Excellent; staff was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Rooms were beautiful, well kept and maintained. Great common rooms and very comfortable.
Review 55:Things are very quiet in the Cape in October and quite a few places(restaurants etc) in Eastham are closed.Coming from the UK we found the lack of pavements (sidewalks) frustrating as there are places we could have walked to from the Inn, but didn't feel quite safe walking on the side of the main state highway without a pavement.
Review 56:What a delightful stay! We were there for 3 nights as we explored'off season' Cape Cod in October. The inn is beautifully presented with lots of vintage and period features and furniture that give it a really lovely feel. Room & bed were comfy, and relaxing to be in. The attention to detail was also great: cider/coffee and cookies on arrival (and also in the afternoons); a welcome note on our pillow; Hot water and water cooler available at all times etc. Staff were super-friendly and helpful, and the buffet cold breakfast was tasty and abundant! Eastham is a great location for seeing the cape, and you can easily get to biking/walking trails as well as drive to lots of areas of interest.
Review 57:Loft room was slightly on the small side and had noisy air system, so didn't get a particularly good night's sleep. It is located on a busy road, although is set further back in a large garden.
Review 58:Good breakfast with fruit salad, cereals and a range of scones, muffins and cakes. Delicious cookies and hot apple cider on arrival (it was autumn). Interesting and characterful building. Helpful and friendly staff.
Review 59:The Inn at the Oaks is impeccably clean and comfortable. The entire staff are warm and welcoming from the moment you step foot in the door. My wife and I are looking forward to ournext visit! Thank you!
Review 60:The breakfast overall is good -- excellent fresh fruit and good yoghurts (sometimes!), good English muffins and Bagels, cereals etc. A shame that the flavours were let down by mass-produced jelly and honey, especially when Cape Cod provides so much of both from small farmers!
Review 61:Exceptionally welcoming and helpful hosts, a lovely lounge with good sofas -- ideal for reading, a very relaxed but efficient feel, beautiful trees (oaks and others!), and good beds. A very welcome strong shower. Aircon worked well.
Review 62:Everything was fantastic. I can't think of one thing that I didn't like!
Review 63:What a beautiful place! I was well-treated by the hospitable staff; I was even given a wonderful upgrade. The location was great - the Cape Cod National Seashore was right there. Staff members had excellent suggestions for restaurants and things to do. I will go back to the Inn at the Oaks.
Review 64:Bathroom lacked safety handle to exit tub. Did not care for the cofee, though the rest of breakfast was wonderful and fresh. One staff member was hit or miss with friendliness
Review 65:Very nicely decorated. Grounds were well kept. Breakfast was upscale continental. It felt like home.

Review 67:-Comfortable rooms; -Very clean; -Very friendly staff; -Neat design features in every room; -B&B's grounds are well-kept; -The best oatmeal raisin cookies!!!
Review 68:The only thing I can think of is that the mattress was not all that great, not horrible, but not great.
Review 69:Fresh baked cookies, fireplace in the sitting room, and the rooms were very comfortable.
Review 70:We did not realize the skylight in our room opened up at first, so the first night was a bit warm lots of tossing and turning and our shower had a leak our first morning there, but they repaired it very timely manner and the rest of our stay was seamless.
Review 71:It was very cozy, I did not feel as though we had to stay cooped up in our room. The room was a great size.
