Reviews for DFW Airport Hotel & Conference Center

Review 1:When making a reservation online it asks for the time of arival. Making you think they will have a room ready.. i got there at 5 am. I had to wait for a room till 3pm..

Review 2:Non refundable but kept hidden fees and rules. Terrible service. Dogs barking in rooms. Cockroaches. Dirty. Doors unsecured so not guests could roam freely.

Review 3:It was inexpensive, relatively

Review 4:The hotel needs some serious refurbishment. The rug and chairs were absolutely filthy. The whole surrounding was dark and unattractive. The television signal was awful.

Review 5:Light bulbs were out in 3 of the 4 lamps. I was not impressed with the channel line-up (digital tv with cable channels). There was no refrigerator in the room and the additional charge was not worth it. WiFi was very slow. Wasn't told about breakfast or asked if I needed any info on the city.

Review 6:The bed was very comfortable although I slept on top of the sheets under the comforter because I saw what happened to those folks in NY during NYE and was afraid I'd see bed bugs on the mattress so it was easier for me not to look. The rate was great but I got what I paid for.

Review 7:Facilities were in disrepair, appeared dirty, staff was unprofessional (talking negatively about other guests in front of us), dirty diapers in the hallway, elevators could NOT have been up-to-code (lights didn't work, emergency door hanging by a hinge), $100 deposit required in cash if you want it refunded upon checkout, if on card it will take 3-5 business days to get back (and there was no notice of this prior to check-in)... had we not already paid a non-refundable rate, we would have left immediately.

Review 8:It all started at check in when the packet asked me all kinds of questions, if I had a criminal record, if I was wanted, if I failed to pay my rent, next thing was I had no idea what a bear room was the win the front desk person told me the bed had no sheets blanket pillows no towels and if I brought my own... I was shocked. So I ended up having to pay extra to rent sheets pillows a bedspread and have bath towels. the bed had broken springs in it in the side of the mattress has holes in it. I went out and bought shorts so I can use the spabut after 2 minutes and smelling the water I don't think it is cleaned or has the proper chlorine to kill the bacteria. The place has all the ability to be a very nice place but unfortunately the leadership of this business doesn't care what the customer thinks.

Review 9:The lobby was nice. The guy at the front desk at check in had a good personality. the refrigerator that was in the room was making an awful sound, the compressor was going out and maintenance changed it out the third day here.

Review 10:The hotel was quiet, with an indoor room. The value for the price was good, and they had a free shuttle service to the airport. I also could leave my car parked at the hotel for a very reasonable daily rate.

Review 11:Caveat: I did not get to stay at hotel due to flight being rerouted for Texan tornado. So I cannot honestly rate the facility. HOWEVER, I did email the property a few days before going to clarify shuttle service to/from DFW. On their website, it says it provides free shuttle, no restrictions. Once you book and pay, however, the fine print says shuttle is only available to people staying a week or more. I never received a response, not even an acknowledgment of the email. Therefore, I would never book this property again.

Review 12:The room looked to not be cleaned when we checked in the hot tub was nasty looking staff was kinda rude and the lobby was not very inviting and parking sucks be ready to walk

Review 13:Even after youve purchased the room online, They charge you $100 on topof the $40+ ...room came with one small dirty dry towel. No wash towels, iron but no ironing board, pillows had no pillow case on them, bathtubfilthy, slobber/stains on bed and pillows

Review 14:......Nothing

Review 15:The attitudes of the staff. Staff very unfriendly. They don't know how to communicate. All staff would benefit from a customer service inservice. They are not very knowledgeable of the place that they work. You don't provide towels, sheets toilet tissue. If you are going to use DFW, you need to upgrade your place

Review 16:The shower

Review 17:Poor service, no coffee, no pillows, missing towels and then no one will replenish any time during a 5 day stay. It is a low cost hotel but still the service has much to be desired.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Booked for 10 days so they put me in a different wing and told me that was for extended stays. Had to go buy bedding; after 3 nights when the room was cleaned all bedding was removed. This was discovered after a long day at work. Another perk for staying for 10 days. None of this was disclosed when the room was booked.

Review 20:Nothing.

Review 21:the sheets were disgusting, very thin and stained. THIS HOTEL NEEDS SOME DESPERATE RENOVATON

Review 22:the location was great because it's next to the airport. The gal at the front desk was very nice.

Review 23:The hotel was misrepresented online. The staff is extremely rude and the building is falling apart.

Review 24:There was nothing about it that I liked. I have nothing good to say about this hotel.

Review 25:They have roaches. The hotel is old and dated. The parking lot is in disrepair. It did not look like the pictures on the Internet. Although the staff was friendly they were not really professional. They were eating while assisting guests. Talking with their mouths full and licking their fingers And wiping their hands on their clothes before conducting transactions.

Review 26:The staff was friendly and it was a cheap overnight stay.

Review 27:Many other people were checking out as soon as they checked there rooms. We were scared to see what we were going to find but it was ok for one night

Review 28:Price and location

Review 29:Building was in bad condition. Vandalism and graffiti in the elevators, carpets stained with years of accumulated grime, and general upkeep was lacking. Areas of the hotel alternate between smelling like sewage and a dumpster in the middle of summer.

Review 30:Staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 31:Within a minute from entering the room, we saw bedbugs and run out a t the speed of light. Staff was courteous enough to refund, despite refund policies. Staff slow and unfriendly.

Review 32:Read above

Review 33:Nothing the place was filthy dirty with rude people to check you in no here we froze all night long no bathroom fan so if you went poop in the room everyone gets to smell it for hours the lock on the bathroom door was broken the toilet seat did not even fit the middle fixtures have rust on them this place sucks

Review 34:Bed was broken down Room had ants Bedding was worn & torn Furniturewas worn and mismatched Facility had broken banging doors in hall Staffwas unpolite and unprofessional Old, worn out building No hairdryer oriron Forced $150 room damage deposit Lighting was poor I could go on butsick of this review

Review 35:Nothing Totally not worth the money saved!

Review 36:Staff seemed disinterested in providing any real customer service. Most interactions with myself or the other customers I saw seemed as though we were bothering them. Overall the facility itself was disappointing.

Review 37:Location and price.

Review 38:The fact that there wasn't local attractions information of local points of interest, a map of the local area would have very helpful, and information about public transport to and from places would of been great.

Review 39:When I had a problem staff were friendly and dealt with my problem in a professional manner. Also when I was checking out at just before 1am hotel airport driver was just about to finish his shift but still very graciously drove me to the airport very good of him.

Review 40:nothing

Review 41:They took me to the airport and back everyday to catch a train to downtown Dallas. That saved a lot of cab money. The drivers were so friendly. This is a very good hotel for the price, and located very close to the airport and the train station

Review 42:everything had bed bugs my daughter was bit numerous times and also by spiders the rooms where very dirty place needs to be shut down booking.com is also not helpful with there their clients they blame each other if a client complains

Review 43:the extended stay staff was very helpful

Review 44:Every thing about the room. Body fluids all over the black comforter. The sheets were dingy did not look clean The bathroom was filthy!!!.The shelves were filthy & sink too!!!!!! Coffee pot on shelf across from toilet.Filth around faucet handles!!!!!!The room was absolutely beyond digusting!!!!!! The health dept needs to shut them down!!!!

Review 45:Staff.

Review 46:it was the worst experience ive ever had at a hotel. I ended up just leaving without a refund. like they still owe me $66.

Review 47:theres not 1 thing that I liked about that whole experience at the DFW airport & hotel.

Review 48:No Heat in room /No Ice Bucket,/ TV remote battery held in place with black tape/missing unit original cover. No food service or dining anywhere on property while under renovations???

Review 49:Shuttle to and from Airport!

Review 50:Bad smells, floors dirty, ridiculous cash pay deposit policy with 48 hours notice and a check the company has to make, if I pay $100 cash I want my $100 cash back and my room was left in better condition than I received it

Review 51:Could be a really nice hotel

Review 52:Was greeted with construction going in. The elevators & hotel looked decedent. No towels in my room. Lukewarm water & not hot. The mattress had a big indention in the middle. Needs to be replaced. TV had poor reception for it being satellite. Wifi was terrible. Nothing like the pictures you advertise. Very, very disappointed.

Review 53:Very little. The staff was responsive.

Review 54:The people at the front desk are rude, I had asked to have a frig in the room and they didn't accommodate at all. The hotel itself was run down and very poor looking. The hallways were scary(like they could have been in a scary movie). The room itself was ok if you felt like you could get to the room a live. Awful hotel. Awful place to stay. Never will I stay there again.

Review 55:NOTHING.

Review 56:You could have charged cancellation fee and reembursed other days!

Review 57:Nothing good about you guys,I only stayed 1 day but you took money for 12 nights, that's being selfish and inconsiderate.

Review 58:Very slow check in. They could not find our reservation. A very strong smell in the hallway's

Review 59:Clean sheets and towels. Good air-conditioning after we turned it on .

Review 60:waited 20 mins to get checked in. Room smelled horrible. Bathroom was nasty. Bed was hard. Blankets well nasty. AC ran all night. Only 3 small pillows. Carpet smelled like piss. I checked in at 11 and left at 5 because the room made my eyes burn.

Review 61:Price

Review 62:The place is OLD and everything is worn out. The bed was a disaster, bathroom had a leaky faucet on the shower, porcelain was stained, towels threadbare, etc.

Review 63:Proximity to the airport and the Aspen Grill Restaurant. Staff gave me a good deal on parking my car for the duration of my trip.

Review 64:I needed a shuttle to get to the hotel from dfw Airport. I called toget a shuttle and was left stranded for over 1 hour. It was very lateand I was very tired! Also, the sink faucet was so loose, I barelydared to use it!

Review 65:The bed was comfortable.

Review 66:Not close to a dart rail line, but there is a park and ride in downtown Irving a couples miles away

Review 67:Great extended stay rates, location was great near the airport also a short drive to everything

Review 68:Top floor hallway foul odor room smells. Bed had odor (urine). No matteess pad. No remote. $100.00 deposit cash only or debit/credit returned after 3-4 weeks. My truck was ticketed for illegal park with their parking pass in their designated area.

Review 69:The price was okay for location

Review 70:Great low price was great of them to only charge us a security deposit on only 2 of the 5 rooms we rented we was there for ambit energy yearly convention ambition

Review 71:You get what you pay for. Parts of the place smell like dead rats. The thing should be demolished. How can this place pass inspections. Please stay here only and only if you dont have any other option. The thing is better than being homeless but take it only if you this is your last option.

Review 72:It is cheap

Review 73:the room smelled like a dead body. The sheets were so dirty we had to cover ourselves with towels. It was impossible to breath, but our flights were early so we had to hang in there

Review 74:Shuttle service, everything else was horrible

Review 75:They had roaches, the bed broke, they moved me intI different rooms three times, the pool and Jacuzzi was closed the entire week I Was there.

Review 76:Cost,andconvenience of the area.

Review 77:The worst say I have ever encountered!!!! I had to change room because the first one has no air conditioner the second room we were in the bed was like a board and a rat was found in the room! The conditions of this hotel is deplorable! The parking is ridiculous the staff I really rude there people that live there. Absolutely the worst stay I've ever had!

Review 78:We went there without a reservation. They told us they had no rooms. So,I went outside and went through booking.com and got a conformation. Wentback in and got a room right away (well, we had to wait until the staffwas ready to help us after they were done with their personal business).I've been to this hotel many times, and each time the staff seemlike they are annoyed that they are there. I am ok with it because Iknow that the hotel room is cheap and we can go to the bar and not haveto worry about driving after drinking. However, we did learn the nightthat we were there that the bar was closing, so we will not be goingthere anymore.

Review 79:The location and the convenience of the bar at the hotel.

Review 80:It says it's a non smoking hotel but all you could smell around the whole place was smoke. Even my room. Yuck! The room and building could use updating but it did seem clean. Even though it was cheap for location, I would not stay again. Spend a few more dollars for a nicer place. Plus they tried to charge me some fee for supposedly not showing up. This was like a week or two after my stay. But I did show up just like how I reserved it! Be careful

Review 81:We could not stand the unprofessional staff, the rodent and bug infestations, or the fact that there were no linens or pillows on the beds (before we were fully aware of the total lack of safety due to the standards of the unclean hotel).

Review 82:We liked nothing. It was a nightmare from the second we walked in.

Review 83:The room was old totally needs to be upgraded. The bed was horrible. The floors were dirty. The room smelled musty. Did not feel like it was a good location at all. Give me a very uneasy feeling to stay there!

Review 84:Never in my life have I seen bed bugs until I stayed here! I now have scars left from beg bug bites ALL over my body!! Since extended stay gets house keeping only once a week tha overflow of garbage is constant! Tha smell in the hallways from the unclean carpet & trash takes your breath away! I couldn't find any other hotel cheaper & was low on cash so had to stay here! Never have I seen you dnt get fridge or microwave in any of the rooms unless you pay extra! For $201 a wk you dnt get any lines just a cot they call a bed & tv with mayb 10 channels when it decides to work! Oh if the room doesn't have bed bugs then it for sure has roaches! They dnt care they just say ok & go on with their day!

Review 85:I'm not sure if they were having A/C problems but the room was very hot. The ran out of towels and wash cloths the second night we were there. The hand clothes that were available were stained.

Review 86:Very old rooms. Rooms smelled horrible. Beds where Very uncomfortable. Didn't feel safe. Had to leave a 100 deposit I don't know why nothing in that room was worth 100

Review 87:The room we were given on check in had a terrible smell that was unbearable but because it was a late check in and we had been travelling for 27 hours we didn't complain. Upon waking up the smell was unbearable. The air was almost unbreathable. We requested a room change and to the hotels credit it happened but about 6 hours later. We ran out of toilet paper and requested more . 11 hours it had not been delivered. When I contacted the front desk I was told that housekeeping was not available .I was told I had to go to toilet near reception and take a few sheets back to the room. We were in extended stay and it is cheap and nasty. We are not fancy travellers and are pretty tolerate but cheap can be good. As long as it was clean and this place definitely wasn't clean

Review 88:nothing. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Review 89:When approaching up you had several ladies that was the ladies of the night. I have more then 2 to 3 sentences. It looked like a prostitute place, I have lived in Irving, Tx all of my life. I was appalled to pick out this hotel.

Review 90:Right off from 183.

Review 91:The whole experience.Felt more like a halfway house for felons transitioning from prison to normal life

Review 92:Total flop house.Treated like a 2nd class citizen and forced our the closer it got to checkout time in a rude condescending manor

Review 93:Once my friend and I walked into out room it smelled like pee. The walls were thin, we heard the people on the other side in the inside pool.

Review 94:I guess u get what you pay for.

Review 95:TV wasn't working, remote control gone, bathroom rolled towel was dirty & sheets/pillows. Couldn't get in room. Door locking mechanism was broken . Maint. got us in & said he would be back to fix it. We arrived late in the evening with 2 tired & crying toddlers ready for bed but maint. never came back to fix the lock! Took over an hour for them to jiggle the lock with a bent wire. In the morning watched a cockroach on the ceiling until it settled behind the painting on the wall! You will not be given fresh towels if you stay longer than 1 night. Your considered an extended stay guest. It's an insult that they charge YOU $100 damage deposit fee for every room you book & refund you 4 days later if the rooms are fine! Are you frickin kidding me!! Oh! I also got to watch the staff watching a surveillance video of a confrontation between a female guest & the front desk man get into an argument & she threw the card key? At him. He then picked it up & threw it back at her! The 2 times I had to go to the front desk most of the guests before me had a complaint. Our stay was definitely not worth the low price!

Review 96:The only credit I can give this hotel is the clean pool/jacuzzi.

Review 97:Room was like a sauna. Took forever for it to get cool. Asked for $100 deposit in case someone smokes in the hotel, yet the whole building smelled like a nursing home. No mini fridge in the room. Ice machine didn't work. Horrible value. Won't stay there again.

Review 98:We were not able to check in at the time requested before arriving. Was not told at any time in advance about the $100 deposit until check in. Once getting inside rooms hours after planned arrival the AC and TV did not work after notifying the front desk we were treated very rude and also got hung up on. Last of all the bed was broken so the stay and sleep was extremely poor.

Review 99:For the area and services such as free shuttle to airport very reasonable pricing.

Review 100:The moldy puke in the toilet made me sick. I asked for a room change and was given amother room that was moldy the TV was broken and I was afraid to sleep on the bed with brown stained sheets. And they only offered a 15% refund refused to get me a manager and made me come close to missing my shuttle to the airport trying to sort it out.

Review 101:The place is a rundown former Holidome. Smelled kind of weird. No ice. Shower didn't function well. Bed wasn't very comfortable.

Review 102:the price was cheap and they offer a free airport shuttle. It worked well in an emergency situation.

Review 103:Hotel name is misleading...not sure how it could be a conference center. Had to stay due to unplanned layover but booking.com should not even offer this hotel as an option.

Review 104:Location to airport, free shuttle service

Review 105:Did not offer refrigerator or microwave in room.

Review 106:Beds comfortable. Spacious room. Hotel staff immediately corrected the use of a bad tv remote and exchanged a bad telephone.

Review 107:The was an odd (smoke mixed with mildew) smell in the hallways and elevator, luckily one we reached our room, there was no odor and it was cleaner than the hallways which looked as if it they needed vacuuming. We were told this is a non-smokin facility, but it didn't smell like everyone was given the same memo.

Review 108:The staff was rude. They had one chick running the whole front deskalone as the Indian guy-who I assume is the mgr, sat and watched overwith male-dominating eyes. I was the only one in line, not to mentionhad reserved in advance yet took 45 mintues to check me in and requiresa $100 deposit which ive never heard a hotel do! The bedrooms, whilevery spacious, the comforter was folded in a way that you couldnt spotthe several "white, dried" stains on it. But as I moved it toplace my own comforter on the bed (3rd floor-RM #3107-no fridge ormicrowave) I spotted around 5. When you walk down the halls you willsmell animals as they allow random animals to be brought in and u feelas if youre in a bad movie trying to find a way out. Last but not least, imagine being woken up twice with banging on your door: once from thepolice; who came to the wrong room, and from a random guy asking to usethe phone....hope this review give u a taste. Save your hard earnedmoney. I will never come here again*ALSO: The parking is first come, first served, once you find a good parking spot-which took me 2 hours AFTER check in- try not to leave it, it will literally take you hours to get another one. I promise you that.

Review 109:The only benefit to this hotel is whats around it. You have gasstations, restaurants-several, dollar movies, walmart, many other(probably better) hotels, the highway....ALL There together...literallywithin walking distance. You dont have to drive anywhere.NOTE: Upon check out, due to the fact they require a $100 deposit, DONT just leave, require the housekeeper to check your room FIRST, while youre there so that way you can see to it that they checked and they will give you the receipt for your FULL $100 deposit. Some companies are sneaky and prey on people in a rush to check out. They will return partial deposit "claiming" something was damaged. Just a heads up.

Review 110:Everything, will never stay there again.

Review 111:Nothing, staff poor, people hanging out side looking suspect, they ran a credit check, but have the people at the hotel look like criminals.

Review 112:Had to pay $100 deposit that I didn't know I had to pay, & seen a bug on the curtain when I walked in. Also, finding a parking spot is horrible. But overall cool stay.

Review 113:The appearance when you walk in.

Review 114:Parking over all. They were completely booked. At times I had to park what seemed like a mile away from my room. The hotel could use some major renovation outside and in. The pictures on the website didn't completely match what I saw in person. The pics represented a nice and somewhat luxurious hotel. What I saw was a hotel looking like it was falling apart. The bathroom counter was detached from the wall. One day, I killed a huge cockroach on the sink. The doors were chipped and paint was falling off. The remote for the TV didn't have batteries in it and had electrical tape on the back. The phone in the room was old and broken and didn't work. The bed was uncomfortable and hard to sleep in. My son stayed with me as well and he didn't care for the hotel or room either. I guess you get what you pay for. I probably will not stay there again, unless they do some work on the place. Or, unless it is the only one available.

Review 115:Not a whole lot. Except for the front desk clerks. They were nice and attractive.

Review 116:Maid service did not speak English and didn't know what do notdisturb means. Maid service doesn't clean all that well. Black moldin the shower, Hallways were not vacuumed well. Some amenities were notleft in the room.

Review 117:All was tolerable.

Review 118:There were mice in the room, a bad smell in general, the elevator sounded like it was going to break at any moment. Disgusting place.

Review 119:They did clean the room every day

Review 120:They took my money without apology... And even contrived different liesto AmEx Bookings and my self. Do not ever go there!!!

Review 121:An accidenal click on earlier then needed date. Attempts to correct itimmediately we're met with a "ha ha gotcha" and a nocancellations... Policy.

Review 122:The AC was not working in the first room. The ice makers were not operable on the first or second floor so no ice. The WIFI was so bad yo could not check emails. The carpets looked as if they had not been vacuumed in months. Mold around the bathroom tub. Not the cleanest but the best price of any other room in Irving..

Review 123:The price was unbelievable..

Review 124:Everything, Shuttle Service, Room, Staff, Drug addicts in the lobby, Filthy room, Laundry facilities broken, no refund for money lost.

Review 125:Absolutely Nothing. Worst Hotel ever, needs to be shut down, or taken over by new management.

Review 126:There was a manager I spoke to when I received an attitude about my dirty room who was either not the manager or should be fired. He was in the extended stay office so maybe he doesn't usually deal with regular guests. He seemed upset to talk to me and when I asked for another manager or his boss he said he was the only manager on duty. He seemed very amped up and I left early due to his response. They would not refund my money and then he blackballed me saying I made a scene. It was embarrassing and disgraceful. Something is wrong with this staff.

Review 127:Nothing. Sad as this property is amazing

Review 128:Only thing I didn't like was I didn't know about the $100 deposit before I got there. But they did tell me it would be refunded at check out if paid in cash

Review 129:4 star stay for a one star price just pay in cash so u don't have to wait for the deposit to be refunded at check out.

Review 130:The hotel is just dirty and nasty. Made me feel like I was sleeping outside. Seems like I was being punked!! Will never stay here again ever!!!

Review 131:The best thing about this hotel was the friendliness of the young lady when we checked out. That's about it.

Review 132:Hotel was filthy. Checked out early and discovered numerous bites all over my body. Was determined to be bed bug bites. My wife and I decided to eat in the hotel restaurant but while on the way discovered a huge cockroach laying in the hall. Needless to say we went elsewhere for dinner. The element around the hotel was shady and was a constant patrol of the Irving PD. Don't forget the old saying like we did "you get what you pay for". Do yourself a favor and book anywhere but here.

Review 133:Staff was courteous and friendly.
