Reviews for Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa
Review 1:Hotel has only one pool bar which was not attractive. There was no place to have for example cocktails in the evening
Review 2:City view rooms were really nice. Great night view on 17 floor. Room layout very nice and cozy.
Review 3:Elevators do not adequately serve the 40 floors as they should. I waited about 30 minutes to get to lobby And was late for a meeting.
Review 4:Convenient location and great staff
Review 5:Maid service spotty over the weekend. Slow elevators at times.
Review 6:Valets very friendly and helpful. Excellent swimming across the street at Kuhio Beach.
Review 7:The updating that the hotel was under-going didn't seem like the most whole-hearted effort, the Swim and Japenga eateries were not the most inviting, affordable, or available to visit- the live music that the hotel boasted as hosting didn't exist; didn't appreciate the Farmer's Market being hosted in the full-length of the lobby.
Review 8:The staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful; the location is hands down one-of-the-best on Waikiki beach; I liked the three stories of shops, accommodations, and waterfalls.
Review 9:the view was perfect, the size of the room was fantastic . the beds were very comfy. the bathroom was spacious. all together we were very happy with this hotel in the madness of hotel lined beach scene
Review 10:There was nothing to criticise. The hotel entertainment - the hotel entertainment by the people - ukulele player and the hula girls absolutely superb - paradise on earth
Review 11:For myself and grandnephew it was 7 days of unadulterated luxury. The site of the hotel and its facilities were of the grandest scale yet totally family and user friendly. They have managed to combine the highest quality and class with total user friendliness. Their assistance and support at front desk to room service was impeccable. I cannot say enough in support of the hotel itself its facilities services and staff and opening the hotel to a weekly marketplace is so kewl and brings the hotel closer to the people. Its just great
Review 12:The $30 resort fee is very chintzy. There was a mixup in the "breakfast included" part of our reservation (between Booking and the hotel) but the staff worked it out.
Review 13:Location, location, location. And very nice facility.
Review 14:Front door is not close to hotel entrance. Do not forget to drop your luggages to to bell boy in the entrance. Resort fee.
Review 15:Very convenient Waikiki beach access. Many stored in The First floor to find basic needs. Rooms are large and clean. Close to shopping area, zoo. Deals in beachboys for umbrella and chairs.
Review 16:The pool was quite small for a resort, and the room only came with 2 breakfast vouchers even though we paid for our 2 children to stay in the room as well. So we had to pay for our kids to be able to rest breakfast.
Review 17:Right across the road from the beach. Staff were excellent
Review 18:Resort fee that was not optional but not quoted then when questioned immed 50% off if I simply gave my email address, this is very very sneaky and was the final moment of a great stay but will affect my choice to return. Also multiple fees on room service including charge for cooks to cook the food, not good.
Review 19:Room was fantastic
Review 20:Nothing
Review 21:Hotel itself. Good view and the very friendly and helpful staff. Close proximity to Waikiki Beach. Easily available deck chairs and towels to the beach. Toiletries excellent, especially the shampoo and conditioner
Review 22:The bed was a little too firm for us.
Review 23:The hotel staff were amazing and very accommodating. The facility was beyond our expectations for the price and the location couldn't be beat.
Review 24:Would have like to have had a microwave in the room and wish they could have included more bottled water. The dressing area of the bathroom was huge and felt it could have been utilized better either by adding a full length mirror on the back wall it moving the wardrobe in there instead of taking up room in the bedroom area.
Review 25:Location was fantastic. Rooms were very large and so comfortable. We had a city view that had the most amazing view from our balcony; one side was a view of the mountains the other of Waikiki beach. The staff were all amazing. We had the breakfast buffet that was the best I've ever had; so much variety.
Review 26:Messy billing. Was charged for laundry by mistake. The lobby of hotel was noisy and crowded. Insufficient waiting area in lobby.
Review 27:Size of the room. Spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent!
Review 28:We stayed for 5 days, two of which we had to call housekeeping to clean our room after returning from the beach in the late afternoon. Our room was supposed to be a double but ended up a king bed which they said they could change but never did.
Review 29:Great location next to the beach and within walking distance of stores, cafes, clubs, restaurants, etc.
Review 30:hotel is poorley signed and a mess it is in an ok location but not worth the hassle when u take into consideration the construction
Review 31:had drills foing through room above at 9am everyday was offered a disabled room or an construction room staff were understanding but stated the hotel is under construction until end of 2017 just dont stay here
Review 32:Service was absolutely fantastic. From check in to in-room to pool and even beach side, the staff was attentive and gracious, anticipating our needs, not just delivering according to requests.
Review 33:Noisy renovations which I did not know about until after I paid. The Hotel was so huge that it lost a lot of it's personal touches including no room service, very poor tea/coffee/bar facilities i.e no glasses/cup/saucers etc in the room instead polystyrene mugs. Very disappointing compared to other world wide Hyatt resorts.
Review 34:Location was very good. The Swim Bar was fun with good service.
Review 35:the atmosphere of the hotel is for older asians ( japanes ) clients only, missing more dining options and the night bar for have a drink later on
Review 36:great location right on the beach all the shops and the real waikiki atmosphere
Review 37:I believe I was incorrectly charged resort fees. I sent an email registering my concern and never received a reply.
Review 38:Vince Brunetti, The Director of Food & Beverage was terrific. He helped me organise my girlfriends birthday. His restaurant recommendation was perfect and he helped organised roses to our room. He is a real asset to your team.
Review 39:The failure of management to adequately advertise the room view. We wanted an Ocean view and subsequently booked an Ocean View only to receive a room with Partial Ocean views, for that you need to have booked an Ocean Front room. Reservation failed to communicate with me after I complained. Even after I tried to contact them three different times and left messages. The rooms need renovation especially considering the price you pay. Overpriced - check your booking details before you book.
Review 40:The room was spacious, the general hotel staff was excellent, the location suberb.
Review 41:Very confusing on locating elevator to get to front desk upon arrival with luggage.
Review 42:Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Pool area was great.
Review 43:Courteous staff Clean Complimentary water in rooms Complimentary water offered by valets when picking up car Great location Farmers market in courtyard every Tuesday and Thursday
Review 44:Great location. Friendly staff who were extremely helpful at check in. Resort fee includes international calls and daily bottles of water - best value resort fee I've ever had.
Review 45:The room quality was below par - I've paid less for rooms and had better and cleaner bathrooms.
Review 46:The location and the staff are great. It was across the street from Waikiki Beach.
Review 47:The room was a perfect size :)
Review 48:excellent location!
Review 49:More clean for example, remain hairs in bathroom
Review 50:clean and safe

Review 64:Staff were friendly! Location was great! Loved everything
Review 65:We thought breakfast offer was not of a standard found in the better hotels around the world Pool not equal to property size
Review 66:location / staff
Review 67:Pool size too small
Review 68:Location was excellwnt
Review 69:Not being able to get out of the lift and be on the ground floor.
Review 70:Room cleaning not Good at all
Review 71:very well
Review 72:Fold down bed not acceptable. No tea bags in room. Ask staff to address these issues but no one bothered to rectify situation.
Review 73:Location , clin, easy accsess to al parts. View from the 35 floor.
Review 74:The hotel upgraded our room
Review 75:we stayed in the Diamond head building which is new one, and pretty much satisfied with it

Review 77:Booked and paid for king bed but got 2 smaller beds
Review 78:Location
Review 79:Central location, great view from upper floors; had a renovated room: very pleasant & comfortable. WLAN was free....
Review 80:Not very much value-for-money Some receptionists are not very friendly
Review 81:Walking - beaches- helicopter- snorkelling - variety of food - artwork- shops
Review 82:Room view
Review 83:Everything was perfect, couldn't ask for more.
Review 84:I'll stay here again. Great location andamenities
Review 85:Beware of hidden costs! Resort fees are a bit of a joke.
Review 86:Great location, good staff! Help organise tours for you.
Review 87:Construction going on around us every day was noisy and a little intrusive
Review 88:Staff were very friendly, renovated room was spacious with great ocean view
Review 89:Bathrooms old.
Review 90:View of the ocean. Close to everything.
Review 91:THAT THERE WAS NO MICROWAVE AND NO CABLE.
Review 92:I LOVED THE VIEW AND THAT THE STAFF WERE SO FRIENDLY.
Review 93:it's my second time to Honolulu. The hotel staff sent two letters to my hotel rooms (we have two rooms) two days in a row stating that there's something wrong with my payment card....it turned out that apparently there's nothing wrong, except that their staff forgot to change my payment method which I told them to at the point I checked in. And for that, I have to go to the reception two days in a row to see what's going on! another thing is that despite the easiness to shopping mall and beach, the facilities are not very good, the carpet looks dirty and smells, the washroom is pretty small and looks dirty as well.. and one of our rooms even lacked an essential furniture --- the cabinet with refrigerator.. and when I asked hotel staff about this, they told me oh it happens...not every room has it....I mean... What?! the facilities in Hyatt are old and a little worn out compared to the facilities in Hilton Wakiki Beach (The hotel I stayed in that I first time went to Hawaii) So if I go to honolulu for the third time, it won't be my choice, since its value for money is not fair enough.
Review 94:have to admit that the location of the hotel is one of the best, the nice view from the balcony, the easiness to shopping stores and food...
Review 95:No toilet access around premises outside of the rooms. No air-conditioning. Too noisey..room 1418, could hear the elevators rolling up and down..didn't sleep well at all.. Need kitchen facilities: a jug to make a cuppa tea...a pantry to hold food in...
Review 96:The shopping. The view The access to laundry facilities the location the service
Review 97:Decor not to my taste, but seems to be the case no matter where I stayed in Waikiki.
Review 98:Great location with a rooftop pool and bar over looking iconic Waikiki beach. Walking distance to everything.
Review 99:So many Japanese stay at this hotel that annoying me to be with. Some stuff who speaks Japanese had lack of communication skill. I believe they are tired of corresponding to Japanese customers. I won't use this hotel again because I don't wanna be surrounded by Japanese.
Review 100:Location was perfect and some of stuff were so kind to us to make comfortable stay.
Review 101:The in house dining menu. Hotel a little dated but it will be going through a refurbishment soon.
Review 102:The staff were very helpful, especially Sonia at Checkin. The location of the hotel is perfect. Thought the market downstairs in the foyer on the Thursday afternoon was a great idea.
Review 103:We were orginally given the Waikiki street view room with scaffolding which was very annoying.
Review 104:I love the fact that we were upgraded to an Ocean view room (rather than an Waikiki street view).
Review 105:Rooms are dated, very small bathrooms, nothing special. You would expect a little elegance at a Hyatt. This one didn't have it. Through out the night you hear doors banging, talking through the walls.
Review 106:Restaurant staff were excellent.
Review 107:Rooms
Review 108:shore restaurant closed for maintenance
Review 109:upgraded without charge to ocean view use of hospitality room after checkout
Review 110:No concierge in lobby!! No place to rinse off feet and shoes after being on beach and before entering hotel.
Review 111:Location/view
Review 112:Resort fee for a hotel that has no resort facilities. Caters to Asians only
Review 113:Amazing breakfast. Helpful and friendly personnel. Spacious and comfy room.
Review 114:Conveniently located in Waikiki
