Hotel Coral Reef sells fast on our site. On the beachfront of Kauai, these Hawaii accommodations are across from Kapa’a Beach and feature an oceanfront swimming pool. Free Wi-Fi is included in all rooms.
Featuring a balcony with an ocean view, all rooms have a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. Tea and coffee-making facilities are also provided in rooms at Hotel Coral Reef.

Review 1：The hotel office closes at 9pm, so if you need to check-in late, you must call the manager's cell phone, which isn't advertised and doesn't always get answered right away. Make sure you get the right number to call!

Review 2：Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable, stylish room, good internet, nice complimentary breakfast refreshments.

Review 3：Property maintenance has a lot to be desired, rusting railings/patio, squeaky fans, bikes in poor shape and rat traps in rooms. A rat was caught in a trap in our room and we had to dispose of it ourselves after it kept us up all night. No offer of adjustment or even a "sorry about that". I understand rats in a tropical location, but not sticky traps and no immediate response for removal. The breakfast was rather sparse, toast and scone or yogurt. Ok stay with comfortable beds, but not worth the high price.

Review 5：Breakfast is a bit of a joke. One cereal (no milk) tubs of yogurt, carton of fruit juice,apple, bread & one jam, biscuit and pod coffee. One morning they had run out of most things and selection limited to bread & coffee - they gave us a credit after they explained they couldn't buy more supplies because the Manager was off the island!!

Review 11：Only recommendation would be to put a little table or two on the lanai's with the upstairs rooms. There was a few times that we sat out there enjoying the ocean view eating breakfast or dinner and had no place to set our food or drinks.

Review 15：We had a great time in this hotel, the room was big anough for 4 people, if you open the glass door you see the sea, little terrace in the front of the room with table and chairs and grass like a carpet. Arround the hotel lots of possibilities to eat and drink. Very long streach of walking pass along the beach. And it was really cheap for 4 of us sharing the room.

Review 16：We had 5 nights at this hotel. Our first night was very uncomfortable as the mattress protector directly under the bed was covered in plastic. We removed the plastic and gave it to the housemaid. We were very surprised to then be charged $150 US on our bill. The manager has since emailed us (after several calls and emails), admitted the error and confirmed a credit on our mastercard. We are still waiting 4 weeks later and the manager is not responding to our emails. We are very disappointed with the management and warn others.

Review 17：Hotel was small and in a nice location. Accessing linen seemed problematic but the day staff on reception were helpful. Very unhappy with the management - please read our story and beware!

Review 25：We had a great stay at Hotel Coral Reef. We met the manager at check in. He was very nice and upgraded us to a king room. The room had obviously been recently remodeled and was really pretty. Comfy bed, bathtub with jets, plenty of space and the best part, a balcony overlooking the ocean. The pool was warm and had a waterfall. No restaurant on site, but several options within walking distance. Easy parking at the hotel. Highly recommend.

The location was on the main highway which made getting in and out of the parking lot somewhat difficult at rush hour times. Our bed had a significant dip on one side (king size bed). So one of us had to sleep in it every night. They were unable to make any changes as the hotel was booked full.

Needles to say, it got pretty dirty after beach days and hiking... Breakfasts - rather coffee and snack than breakfast. No fruits! No wifi in the room even though advertised like having wifi in the rooms on booking.com. All in all, it's certainly not worth 200$ per night. Perfect view but all the rest reminds questionable.

Review 61：Loved this hotel. Small, quaint and quiet. Except for the roosters but I found comfort with them as well. You can walk straight out from your room to the beach which is small and not busy. If you're looking for a place with room service and fluffy amenities this isn't you. But if youre looking for a place where they'll treat you as family, this is it. You can also walk to restaurants and shopping. There is a microwave and small refrigerator in the king rooms. The pool is lovely with the waterfall. Joseph the manager is kind and thoughtful. I hesitate boasting about this place because I feel it's a secret find. I definitely call this my home on Kauai.

Review 62：Continental breakfast not much variety, and Keurig coffee machine. No Kona coffee. The beds creek when you move, wakes you up. The chickens are all over the grounds. The room smells musty, however close to beach. Hard to turn left from parking lot, a lot of traffic on road.

Review 99：Totally BAD STAFF. They don't help you in anything. Problems with wifi, they told me it worked. I resolved by myself: the wire of the router was disconnected. Problems with bikes: my girlfrind got a flat tire, they told me the bike was under my responsability, it was far from the hotel and i had to go with my car to bring it back (Are you crazy?!?!?!?! Imagine if i had not the car...). It's unbelievable: I have a problem with your bike and you answer me it's my problem and you don't do anything to help me?!?!? I wasted a morning for that. Brekfast is always the same and lack. In this cost of the island rains every day and there is a lot of wind, so your room in front of the ocean is totaly useless. Room is nice but full of light and noise in the morning. Trust me: don't go there if you don't want to ruin your holiday.

When we reported that the lock on the sliding door didn't work, staff was already aware and expected that a stick in the door runner was adequate! The shutters had missing parts and were difficult to keep closed.

The continental breakfast was over by 9...actually at 9 there wasn't anything left. Not recommended for Leisure or Business...very scare on table space too...in the bathroom next to the toilet no table but a large black leather chair???

Review 126：The continental breakfast wasn't that great, and was very scarce, especially if you arrived during the later part of the schedule time for said breakfast. We went elsewhere for our coffee - if you enjoy breakfast and coffee, we recommend you go elsewhere as well.

Review 127：My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon on Kauai. We stayed at Hotel Coral Reef 4 nights and had the ocean front king room - it was beautiful. :) The room was nice, clean, and the bed so comfortable. The lighting in the room was nicely done with option for some romantic ambiance - great for couples and honeymooners (like us!). :) The lanai had stunning views, and there was a walking/biking path in front that went to a gorgeous lookout spot, and further - only we turned back at that point to head back to the hotel. We didn't rent bikes, but they do have bike rentals available, and the laundry facilities were certainly a plus as well. It was very close to shops/restaurants - walking distance to many. The airport is close enough to the Kapaa area too. We quite enjoyed our stay.
