The Hotel Salamander is housed in a heritage-listed building in the heart of the ancient UNESCO-protected mining town of Banská Štiavnica. It features an infrared cabin and massages services.
Every room is individually furnished and some are located in the attic.
Traditional Slovak and international cuisine is served in the Salamander's restaurant, whereas aromatic coffee and pastries can be enjoyed in the cafe.

Review 1：Bathroom was dark, wasn't able to open the windows in the room, hole in the roof so water was droping in the room

Review 3：The colors of the towels were a bit irritating (navy,dark blue) and there was no towel for face. There were only for head and body. There were no English/foreign channels on Tv.

Review 9：The shower is in a great need of reconstruction, the shower handle was falling off and you need to wait for warm water for 10 minutes. It was not dirty, just old.

Review 11：Strange arrangements with the hot water. you have to run it for at least 5 minutes before any appears. then you have to wait another 5 minutes before the water turns clear. The management knows about it as there is a sign above the sink.

Cosy and nice rooms in a historical nicely renovatedbuilding made the visit really special. We spent a nice week-end withour friend from uk and admired Banska Stiavnica; the location of the htlwas really convenient. Breakfast was very good, the lady offered us anice omelette or ham&eggs;so as variety of cafes and thes, veryattentive people indeed!

Review 17：Basic breakfast, no fruit or natural yogurt. Tight space for parking, which demanded us to maneuver with other guests and the owner. The shower doors were replaced with an old unpleasant curtain. The sponge mattress was uncomfortable
