Review 1：The living room was not comfortable. Some repairs to the ceiling were done badly. Some of the walls needed repair, the women's bathroom needed a door. I wish they would invest in a better building or at least make repairs by qualified crafts people.

Review 5：The facilities were eh. The toilet did not work well, and the blankets were not the thickest most comfortable blankets, and the room was kind of dusty in some areas.
Review 6：The staff was really helpful and friendly, and the hostel was really cute and had a cool quirky vibe. The location was great in that it's on a quite street but its right next to all the main streets. There is also a cute and functional kitchen and they provide coffee and spices. Near the entrance there are also little sheets of paper that tells you how to get to places in Madison, which is really thoughtful.
Review 7：the air conditioning on for no reason why; I stayed for four nights, and I didn't get the sense that anyone was really cleaning much in the room. The shower was medieval.

Review 9：the staff are really friendly. The facilities are so nice and clean and it has a homey feeling to it, its cosy. Its walking distance from the lake and from State street. Overall just lovely
Review 10：I didn't have a bad experience, this was my first stay & the manager really didn't explain anything to me after I had mentioned that. I just had to wander around & read all of the posted signs. I had to learn from other guests. The front desk manager was much more helpful later.

Review 13：Inside of the hostel is very clean because no shoes are allowed inside. Wi-fi quality is also great and we have a big kitchen. Staff were friendly.
Review 14：I loved how close it was to the lake and capitol building and the Monona Terrance. The guests were friendly as well as the staff. There were maps,brochures, books and a computer to help guests find certain places.

Review 16：If you are going to shower, get up early to grab a towel. Hahaha, the earlybirds will nab them, then you have to go wandering (not far) to find one.
Review 17：I only stayed for two nights, but their emphasis on cleanliness and friendly staff won me over. The hostel feels very homey- the decor was fun. Aside from that, the location is awesome as it sits right next to the capital and college town and is walking distance to everything! Lastly, I really dig that it's secure, I felt safe coming back late at night.
Review 18：The room i was assigned alr had two long term guests, who were super messy and were even using my locker as their wardrobe. There was a vert strong stench of body odour as I entered the room, and it did not dissipate even after the door was left open for some time. Also, the bed was so short that i couldnt sit up in the bottom bunk...

Review 22：First off, you can't beat the location for the price! 1.5 blocks from Capital Square and a 10 min walk down State Street from there to the University of Wisconsin. Second, the staff was very friendly and helpful and always let you know what was going on-- which was usually at Capital Square or on State Street... Always events happening there or UW. Third, it was pretty clean and a nice place to lay your head. You can't beat the value or the location for the price... Plus, staying at a hostel; you always know the events & concerts-- esp. the FREE ones happening in town! Highly recommended!
