Review 1：The continental breakfast could have been more than cereal & coffee.

Review 2：The room and the fact they were adjoining. They were clean, had mini fridge and microwave oven.

Review 3：Needed updating; no flat screen tv in the room, and no gym. The bathroom was not very clean.

Review 11：This place is just gross. Do not stay at this place. Bugs, stains, andthe cost is just ridiculous. We got full refund and found another placeto stay.it looked like vomit or blood on the side of the bed. Guy saidhe would reduce the rate and send someone to spray the stains but couldnot replace covers. Too much work. I felt so sick and to be honest thisplace should be shut down-PERIOD.

Review 14：Very old and outdated motel. It appears to have stepped out of the 80's. Rooms had very dusty vents in bathroom, bed mattresses felt like you were sleeping on springs, TV without remote control. Carpet needing updating. Rooms had air turned off when we arrived. Musty smelling.

Review 16：The owner, an Indian guy was prejudice. He was going to call the cops on me because he wanted me to leave at 11am (for check out) when I'd paid for 2 whole days (I used this site to secure the 2 days). Since I'm a Black Puerto Rican I'm assuming he thought he could just charge my card or threaten to call the cops and swindle me out of money. Save the headache and don't stay here.

Review 30：We had to to wait 70 minutes beyond check-in time, which made us rushed to graduation. We had an air conditioner that was making a shrill squeak so we couldn't use it and the room was pretty hot. Breakfast was pathetic.

Review 35：The night staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room did not have a coffee pot and the desk clerk in the early evening told said we would have to come get coffee from the lobby. My husband had just had surgery and a chemo treatment and was not going outside in 32 degrees weather for coffee. The night clerk was nice and went out of her way get us one.

Review 36：No lights work. Fumbled around to get one lamp on, barely. The AC didn't work!! The bed was hard as a rock!!!! It's was super later when we got there and my son was asleep. So I didn't feel I could call maintenance to have them change my room. But I feel that stuff should all be checked when the room is cleaned!

Review 37：The location was very convenient to the ECU campus and sports complexes. The staff was very friendly and the facility very clean. My bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet so I was able to enjoy sound sleep each night. I would definitely stay again!

Review 38：This hotel's breakfast was much like a vending machine. I do think I was able to get a banana and a cup of coffee. Otherwise, expect very little. The hotel was very outdated. It was clean but for the price we couldn't have gone to a chain and the accomodations would have been nicer. The air conditioning/fan unit did not stay on. I often will just keep a fan running to block out noise. This was not possible. Bottom line we will not go back.

Review 39：I was in town for a football game and think I got the last room available. It was under stairs and definitely needed some attention. When I asked the manager if I could change rooms he had another room cleaned and ready for me within minutes. It could have been a disappointing stay but the management turned it into a great experience.

Review 40：The people at the front desk were the best I have ever dealt with. They were genuinely helpful, respectful and courteous! As I was checking in I mentioned that I hadn't had lunch and the lady at the front desk immediately came out with bananas and snacks for me. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that didn't have that kind of attentive staff. It also had great water pressure for the shower!

Review 43：GREAT VALUE - I came to Greenville to visit ECU for a couple of days and came across East Carolina Inn on the booking group website and overall I give it five stars. Location was easy to get to, the place was quiet and I felt safe. The staff made the check-in and check-out process easy, were readily available, responded quickly and were very friendly. They helped with advice and directions on nearby shopping and restaurants, and rapidly helped me when i returned to retrieve my phone charger i left in my room. The bed was comfy and clean, and there were plenty of towels. Unlike other places, this inn provided a fridge, a microwave and a coffeemaker in the room free of charge. The wi-fi was free too. There was basic breakfast stuff provided for on-the-go. Overall..... I've stayed at several similar lodgings in the past and this inn was better, cleaner, offered more, and way friendlier. Review 123：The breakfast is pretty meager -- juice, cereal, coffee, and some packaged pastries. If you're a big breakfast fan, don't plan to be satisfied with the selection. However, if you're OK with coffee and toast like I am, you'll be happy.

Review 124：The room was clean and generally in good repair. The fridge, freezer, coffee pot, and microwave worked. Cable TV had a good range of channels and worked. WiFi connected easily and worked. There was a hair dryer, ironing board, and iron as well, but I did not use those. My room was a smoking room (my preference), so I was not bothered by the few small burn marks on the carpet. King size bed was comfy, and the sheets were clean. the pillows were fresh and didn't have that 'dusty' smell that one sometimes encounters. Towels were fresh, bathroom was clean. I would recommend this location if you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel without a bunch of 'extra' stuff like a gym, indoor pool, and so forth. The location is central and convenient, and there are a variety of restaurants and retail shops close by (walking distance). Not fancy, but definitely in line with what I'd expect for about $50/night.
