Review 3：There was no breakfast restaurant available one morning and I was not notified. Way overpriced for a room on the ground floor. The patio is nice, but anybody can look inside your room and, in order to prevent that, you need to close the curtains, which is not fun during the day!

Review 7：Super clean, modern, eco-hotel, great simple but luxurious rooms, great bathrooms and beds, great staff, easy valet parking, right across from beach in the best shopping district. Every room has a little terrace. I don't do the food here, but there are dozens of restaurants and a Whole Foods nearby. I'd prefer a quieter neighborhood, but the glass sliders in the window wall are very soundproof and there is no other hotel in the area I like this much. It tends to be priced at the bottom end of the upscale hotels and is much fresher that the more expensive ones.

Review 8：We find that a lot of thing been missing from our bags we booked 2 rooms and thing missing from both rooms ( perfume, chargers, clothes all new brands !!!!!!!!!!!! ) we called many times to carry our luggage for check-out and toke very long time to send some body even-thought the hotel is only 4 levels !!! no need for that much time . i will never ever go to this place again and will not diffidently recommend it for others

Review 12：We arrived at 4.30pm on New Years Eve from a long flight and had to wait til 6pm to get into our room. That was unacceptable and made us very angry.

Review 13：Post check-in the concierge staff were great helping us to get Lakers tickets and organised transport for us. Other than the poor check in experience the rest was great. They stored our luggage on our last day as we left Santa Monica quite late on the day we checked out. The Location is terrific.

Review 15：The staff was unaccommodating when I asked to pay for the room in cash (I was carrying about $800 cash). The room was booked for me, and I did not carry a credit card with me. Did not have enough money in my debit account to cover the room charge plus their $100 auxiliary charge, so they turned me away. The worst part was, they wouldn't even let me use their bathroom before I left, and they charged me a $15 fee for parking my car while attempting to check in. I guess $800 cash and $400 credit line, plus a valid credit card on file from the booking reservation, was not enough to pay for a $369 room. I have recommended this place to other travelers, but will now tell everyone my experience and hope that they avoid it. So many other ways the situation should have been handled. The person who booked the room for me was appalled, and he was a frequent guest of the hotel himself. He swore not to go back.

Review 16：While generally a pleasant place to stay, it is a tad on the pricey side. Price difference for two, three or more people staying in a two double room is unfathomable; it is the same type of room after all. The partial ocean view is indeed partially blocked by another building.

Review 18：I loved Shore Hotel. I was upgraded to a beach view room and working from the room looking out to Santa Monica beach was an absolute treat. The room was comfortable and as pictured. Location is A+ Walking both days along the beach really helped with the jet lag and fantastic shops so close mean't I could pop out at anytime for just a short while. The staff were fantastic and the in room dining great.

Review 19：Housekeeping was a real letdown given everything else. On two occasions we arrived back at 4:30-5pm to find the room had not been cleaned yet despite having had a "please make up room" signal on all day. The one day we actually got the room cleaned it was not done very well.

Review 28：The hotel in it self was perfect but unfortunately there were picketers protesting outside of our hotel at 7am and 5pm. Not a great wake up call and also not a relaxing time to watch the sunset. But in no way was it the hotels fault they apologized and made sure we had complementaries due to the inconvenience.

Review 29：I liked the modernness of the hotel. It was modern but comforting. Our room and view was breath taking. Also the staff was extremely nice and checking in and out was a breeze. Definitely a place I will be staying at every trip down to Santa Monica!

As we were staying over a long period of time we could not able to change the room. One night they left the pool music on which played until next morning. Review 46：They deducted additional A$1900 from credit card which left us with no money. Said it was a 'mistake' in the system and nothing they could do. Then we could not get money back from bank because fax wouldn't go through and still they would not give us any money back - they would rather have guests stay with no money than the hotel be short of money for a few days. Review 86：Totally overpriced paying almost 500 USD per night is not fair business (be careful, the price shown in the booking.com is only part of you are going to pay). They use the lack of knowledge of the tourists to ask for a so high price, because there are near by 5 Star hotels asking for similar prices, and this is a 4 star hotel… Why it is overpriced: The size of the room is very small, it is difficult to place your luggage The quality of the materials of the room was also not according to the price. The swimming pool without showers is not according to the price. The fitness center was very poor, so not according to the price. The hotel is in front of the peer of Santa Monica so the beach near is not clean enough. So you have to take your car or rent a bike to enjoy other parts of Santa Monica beach that are much better.

The room they gave us over look a back side of a Resturant, all the smoke from the kitchen Resturant come into the room we couldn't use the balcony or open the window. The food from the dinning menu is expensive and not tasty They make you check out and you credit card account is open, we took a bottel of water from the bar and I told they guy when I checked out I want to pay for the mini bar but he said now You will pay for the room and food after one day I will be charged your card for the mini bar, how can they do that?

Review 113：Really felt the hotel was overpriced and did not live up to the online photos of the hotel. the public areas were really daggy and felt more like a cheap hotel which we were not anticipating or wanting. we ended up finding a better hotel nearby and cancelled the last part of our stay as a result.
