Review 1：Bathroom needs some work. Stopper for sink not working. Could use a little more attention to cleaning.

Review 9：The property is beautiful and unique, with an indoor courtyard designed to feel like you are outside equipped with a large koi pond and trees. It is also elegantly decorated. The room was very quiet and roomy.

Review 34：The staff working the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and the WIFI was user friendly. The restaurant service and food was execellent. The Hotel is close to the airport and downtown Albany which was great.

Review 46：What I didnt like.....hummm, if anything, I would have wished that ya'll had more " sweetheart" deals. I used to bring my kids then. As a single Mom with 2 Special Needs children...it was a terriffic blessing to me. Paw folks like to live it up too ya know! :)

Comfortable, elegant, love the atrium......you always let us check in early so it really felt like a true mini vacation.....even tho we could only stay one night..the kids swam and swam and swam....it was awesome !!

Review 52：My stay was to attend a wedding reception which was being held in the Desmond. When requesting an early check in 5 days prior, I was told that I would have to call back on Saturday morning - the day of the wedding and reception. Considering that my wife and I were driving 3 hours, I found this quite annoying. I attempted to request the same 2 days later and was told the same thing - call back Saturday after 7 AM. When I did call Saturday AM - I was told no problem. The food at the reception was poor - fair at best. First time I ever attended a wedding reception and received an ice cold steak.

Review 58：Checked in Friday night around 10pm. Front desk staff detached andaloof, and a little sarcastic. Hallway entering the building hadsignificant amount of stains and dirt on the stairs. The hallway outsideour room obviously had someone vomit recently, secondary to the copiousamount of deodorizing agent used to "cover up" the smell,which was so potent it nearly made our lungs burn. I checked out therest of the hotel, and realized our wing was the only one that smelledthat way. Room smelled of mildew, and there were significant amounts ofdirty fingerprints all over the windows, to which one is drawn toimmediately secondary to the fabulous view out to the courtyard. Theperson that assisted in the check-out process was ok. I was extremelyexcited to stay at the Desmond after prior experiences at Holidayparties sponsored by the Capital District ymca on multiple occasions inyears past (5-8 years ago). I have to say that it is very apparent thatthe facility has not reinvested in its grounds, and the staff appeardetached and unfriendly. I have received better service at Holiday InnExpress on business trips. The value is just not there anymore, and as abusiness owner, I would not recommend it to my clients or personnel. Asa matter of fact, I actually recommended a client to the Desmond priorto my trip last weekend. Upon returning home down in Westchester County,I immediately emailed my client, and recommended he stay at AlbanyHilton instead, which I know, based on prior experience, is cleaner andhas better service. The Desmond's primary impetus is obviouslyfocused on banquets and corporate events, and obviously not on theexperience in staying on location overnight. I'm sure t heDesmond's business will continue to flourish secondary to itslocation next to the airport, and its appeal as a great destination forevents. It is a shame the company does not pay better attention to thehotel portion experience.

Review 61：We needed an off and on exit for the trip we were taking. This is a great location. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good. We also love the decor. I used to travel here for a yearly conference, and this brought back a lot of memories.

Review 72：The reservation staff -accidentally, I'm sure- ruined the surprise party by listing the names of guests with the same last name when my mother checked in. As a result, she learned at check-in that all her sons were coming for her b'day. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!
