Reviews for Shah Inn Hotel

Review 1:I was not satisfied with my room 303. The ceiling was low and weired and Windows curtains allow sun light to ruin my sleep.

Review 2:WiFi was good. Surrounding area is cool near Marina.

Review 3:Room faced a playground, and noise from people socializing in the area lasted until after midnight. In addition, we could hear people in neighboring room talking so clearly that it seemed as if they were in the room with us. Breakfast room could use some spiffing up.

Review 4:Location was close to the waterfront, and near to the airport. Bed was comfortable, and wifi worked well. Staff at front desk were pleasant and helpful.

Review 5:We had been traveling for two weeks in various locations, and the bed was so comfortable, it was the best night sleep we'd had in two weeks. Great location as we only needed one night by the airport (5 minutes from airport) and there were lots of restaurants to choose from and a beautiful walk along the water.

Review 6:Desk manager, Farhan was very helpful. Hotel is although small but location is great. Nice resturants and sea side community is good. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 7:The food from the restaurant downstairs however was a bit overpriced for the quantity. Breakfast also could do with more options.

Review 8:The manager, Ferhan, was extremely helpful and nothing was too much of an ask! We had a leaky a/c unit the first night and were offered a different room almost straightaway! They fixed it the next day though so A+ for that! Beautiful views of the marina and very relaxing..

Review 9:Breakfast was served 30-50 minutes after the announced serving time in two consequtive days! Difficult parking - could not find the parking of the hotel, which the staff confirmed that it exists... somewhere. Rooms on top floor are a bit hot!

Review 10:Nice location, hotel is clean, staff is friendly, although a bit disorganized!

Review 11:Breakfast at neighbouring hotel was not that great. Late to serve. No Turkish coffee. No buffet like the norm in Turkey

Review 12:Only a 17TL ride from the airport and 20 m away from the water in a local part of the city. Taxi driver managed to find easily with Turkish Siri. Taxi stand only 50 m away for return trip to airport great running/ walking area around the coast. Lots of resturants close by. Also a very good supermarket on the main street. Hotel very comfortable and quiet.

Review 13:Breakfast is officially served from 8 a.m, which is quite late anyway, but it wasn't available on time, so I had to leave for the airport in a hungry state. The seaview opens in fact onto a noisy children's playground, I was just lucky to have an awful thunderstorm that scared away all the kids

Review 14:Just a few kilometers from the Atatürk airport, a very calm and peaceful beach resort — very much unlike downtown Istanbul. Helpful staff and cozy rooms. Wonderfully far from noisy traffic.

Review 15:We loved the charming restaurant where we had breakfast as well as Ramadan, the manger who was very helpful. The room was very tastefully decorated and when we arrived at 5am and looked out the window I could just make out the silhouette of the boats in the marina under the half moon.

Review 16:Personally, the pillows were too hard for me, but that is a personal preference

Review 17:Great staff, especially Ramazan, very comfortable room and delicious Turkish breakfast

Review 18:We needed a bitel for 1 noght near the airport and it work great. The staff was very nice and helpfull. It is sorrounded by a marina with great places to eat and the breakfast was ok. It fulfilled our expectations.

Review 19:Our room had a smell of drainage from toilet, conditioner was not working, lots of noise from adjacent room. Staff has helped us with heating and called neighbours to lower the noise, both helped partly. Breakfast was not ready by 8-00. We had to leave without breakfast at 8-20. Staff was not interested in helping us with that. Price was too high. One of the worst hotels i have been to. Rating on booking.com seems to be too inflated.

Review 20:Bed which takes your shape was fun

Review 21:I like this place. The staffs were polite and helpful. It is a peaceful place to Stay for couple days. The location is only 10-15 minutes away from ataturk international airport. Also, it costs only 15 tl ( $7) with taxi. Thanks again for everything.

Review 22:The walls are not soundproof, but, it is not so disturbing unless someone is shouting or having shower in the middle of night.

Review 23:Due to airport transfer from Sabiha Gokcen to Ataturk, I had to spend a night and wanted to stay close to airport so that not to get stucked in the morning traffic of Istanbul. I stayed between 15-16th of January. The hotel met my expectation; it is just 10 minutes by taxi and costs ~15 TLs. There is a sea bus port or a ferry port, which is called Bakirkoy IDO, where you can switch to asian part just in 40 minutes. The hotel is located very close to shore where it is very quite during whole day and there are lots of fish restaurants. Also, there are many restaurants, cafes, and a shopping mall which is very close if you take a taxi. If you take a taxi from Taksim to hotel, it will cost ~42 TLs. Make sure to speak about the price before ride to avoid an overcost. The receptionist guy Ramazan speaks english and will help you with any case. Breakfast was OK with a standard plate including cheese, honey, butter, olive, and bread.

Review 24:The isolation was really absent between construction walls even the noise during the night we can hear really clear. The breakfast was very poor.

Review 25:The facilities is brand new, all furniture in room and in hall are modern.

Review 26:I got a cosy room in the attic and this was a wrong choise for a tall man like me - I was constantly bumping my head over the ceiling :)

Review 27:an attractive neighbourhood at the sea, with a lot of restaurants and shops, just 15 minutes by taxi from the airport (20 Turkish lira only) - an excellent place for a short stay

Review 28:When we've ask on the reception how to get city centre they have told us that this is possible only by taxi, however there is a bus near the hotel. Poor breakfast.

Review 29:Good location

Review 30:Unfortunately there was not enough time to spend more.

Review 31:In the top season (May to September) it is a top place to have good time in Yesilkoy. Out of this time it is most reasonable place to observe Yesilkoy and Florya quarters. Nice restaurants and bars are in its proximity. The hotel provides shuttle from/ to Ataturk airport. A rehabilitation of interrior of the hotel is well done, room is spacy enough. It is more than good choice to book.

Review 32:During my stay, the restaurant was under renovation - however; there are more than plenty of restuarants in a few minutes walking distance away (and the completed restaurant will for sure look good)

Review 33:Very good location - only 15 minutes from the airport. Many fish restaurants in the neighborhood. Short walking distance to the Airforce-Museum. Very good internet-connection. Close to the sea. And for sure to be mentioned: Very friendly staff.

Review 34:Our room was above the lobby and main entrance. There was considerable noise outside until midnight, which kept us awake. When asking about a cab to the airport, which is 10-minutes from the hotel, the desk clerk offered only a private car for US$40. We walked the neighborhood and found a taxi staging lot 3 blocks from the hotel. After pointing this out to the clerk, he called for a taxi. The ride cost TL 15, about $7.

Review 35:Clean and modern, with cozy upscale rooms.

Review 36:Promised a sea view but didn't get it. For location (non tourist location) price is quite high. English not spoken a lot locally, which makes it hard.

Review 37:Clean comfortable room. Very accommodating staff.

Review 38:I had a one day stop over in Istanbul - Ramzan the manager was excellent he organised airport pick up for me, organised an early check in and a wonder short tour of the city. Excellebt

Review 39:The hotel definitely not as upmarket as they claim, photos are very flattering. Booked a car into town and back with reception. The car back from town (about 3/4 hr drive) never showed up. When contacting the reception after waiting for some time they said it was not coming due to heavy traffic. They guaranteed that the price of a taxi back would not be more then TRY50 and they would pay the difference. The price was TRY92 . I pre-booked and pre-paid a car back to the airport, which needed more 'reminding' via reception. When it arrived, I was presented with a 200 euro bill which I refused to pay. After more phone calls and the that was sorted out and by the time I got to the airport I had minutes left to check in. In short: the reception services were unreliable, cost me money and almost made me miss my plane. I would not go back to that hotel or recommend it.

Review 40:Room was clean and adequate, bit small. . Wifi was good, bathroom was good

Review 41:Expensive shuttle from the hotel to the airport (40 euros) for a 10 minute journey.

Review 42:Convenient location in an area close to the water with easy access to many restaurants and cafes. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 43:Walls were not well insulated from noise.

Review 44:Well located to airport, in traditional neighborhood along the Sea of Marmara with a lot of local restaurants. Nice walking along coastal greenway. Beautifully appointed hotel with helpful staff.

Review 45:the kids outside the hotel no duvet given the other employees do not speak english or french

Review 46:very near from airport. A lot of good fish restaurants nearby Manager very helpful

Review 47:The outdoor children's playground outside the hotelwas noisy until quite late in the evening making it difficult to sleep after a long journey

Review 48:The staff were most helpful - the hotel was old but had been remodeled in a contemporary style

Review 49:I needed a quick overnight for the Istanbul airport but hate the standard airport hotels. This is in a nice neighborhood which gives you a flavor of the city very close to the airport and allows you to eat in a small cafe with locals. I was a female travelling with my daughter and felt totally safe out late for dinner. The room is clean and very comfortable. Some street noise from kids park across the street but added to the local feeling.

Review 50:Early awaking because of sun. Breakfast could be better.

Review 51:Ramazan Kal and his partners very polite and helpful. Location very good for Ataturk airport.

Review 52:The airconditioning took a while to cool things down - otherwise no others problems

Review 53:Quiet part or Istanbul away from the crowds. We had views of the water and were able to go for a walk along the coastline . Lots of trees and very close to shops. It had a village feel. We were just staying one night as we wanted to be close to the airport and the hotel was perfect and included a lovely Turkish breakfast.

Review 54:Our taxi driver had a hard time finding the Shah Inn, as it does not face a road.

Review 55:Staff was very friendly and nice. Location is close and convenient to the IST Airport. Hotel is modern and clean, we especially liked the shower. The Hotel faces a playground, and families with children were out at night. Nice to see families having fun. Hotel is also close to the Marina with good seafood restaurants.

Review 56:Nothing

Review 57:Walk to beach, harbour, restaurants. Close to airport 5 star room Manager arranged airport transfer personally, just call Ramidan on arrival. Very Helpful

Review 58:The staff was extremely helpful...but the fact that none of us spoke the other's language was an obstacle.

Review 59:The neighborhood is charming, quiet, comfortable, with a seaside promenade

Review 60:Nice hotel nearby airport. Situated in lovely area. Just staid one night but very satisfied. Excellent service by hotel manager who was very friendly and helpfull.

Review 61:Most of the staff didn't speak other language than Turkish and they were not very helpful when we needed any information.

Review 62:We liked the location - a quiet area, a park with nice rides for the children in front of the hotel. The hotel is small which also makes it convenient for families with children. Also close to the airport.

Review 63:Not much--very nice hotel, if you want to stay by the airport. If you are looking to be in town in the center of the sites, choose a different locale.

Review 64:The bed was amazing. The bathroom was great and toiletries were very nice! Quaint area of town. Arranged a private car to and from the airport for 15 euro each way.

Review 65:A road nearby has just been built so taxi drivers didn't recognise address at first.

Review 66:Excellent in every way. Comfortable and very accommodating staff who went out of their way to make our stay a great one. Highly recommended. Food was lovely too. In a great location.

Review 67:I think there aren't any rooms with two single beds but I could be wrong....

Review 68:Firstly I couldn't find the hotel and the hotel staff spoke to the taxi driver and told him where to go and they greeted me at the taxi and helped me with my luggage, then they told us exactly where to go for dinner as we got in quite late but lastly and most importantly, I went to the wrong airport and they were calling the airline I was flying with to ask them to wait for me. Whether they listened or not is not the matter, the effort they went to was unbelievable. So friendly and so helpful. Typical Turkish hospitality. Love it!

Review 69:Taxi driver could not find the hotel. Small room. No view.

Review 70:Close to airport. Ok for an overnight stay. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Prompt service.

Review 71:Can be noisy at night because of Ramadan, particularly with close proximity to playground. Lighting in room could be improved but good in bathroom.

Review 72:Yesilkoy is away from the tourist hustle bustle of central Istanbul yet easily accessible. Pleasant seaside location with good selection of places to eat and excellent shopping nearby including the local Wednesday market. Hotel brand new, immaculately clean and well appointed.

Review 73:The breakfast was appalling (which is shocking in a country like Turkey): I had to wait for it for a very long time, as there wasn't anyone or anything in the breakfast room. And when I was finally served, the breakfast consisted of old smelly pieces of plastic sausage and cheese, an egg that's gone off thrown onto a plastic tray, and weak tea - couldn't eat any of it. The blinds in my room covered only half of the window, so was woken up very early.

Review 74:Manager Ramazan was helpful. The hotel is clean, in a residential area, was pleasant to fall asleep hearing children playing

Review 75:cleanliness was a little below par. no minibar in the room.

Review 76:the view from the window of our room, the short walk to the beach, proximity to the airport, peaceful neighbourhood. the manager Ramazan was a delight.

Review 77:Neighborhood streets narrow, crowded and one-way so nearly impossible to find hotel. Park across the street had noisy children in it until well past midnight, keeping us awake.

Review 78:Staff very helpful in dealing with our rental car return and airport transportation. Located in crowded, vibrant, yuppie neighborhood of Yesilkoy near Ataturk Airport. Restaurant in hotel served us a tasty dinner.

Review 79:Location is a bit hard to find for taxi drivers. Breakfast could be more fresh and diverse, the one we had was poor.

Review 80:The hotel is very new and clean, very comfortable, surrounded by lots of cafés. There is a long seaside promenade where you can enjoy planespotting for Ataturk. Location is good if you do not need to travel to the city centre. The staff was very helpful, especially a manager called Ramazan, who is the only one with fluent English, whom we met in the hotel. He helped us a lot with taxis and was extremely friendly.

Review 81:No complain ...But Would had been nice to stay longer!

Review 82:Mister ramazan was a nice and friendly host. He was fast and efficient to provide me a pick up by Mr Sumer who gave me a lot of useful information and advices The WaterFront promenade is relaxing and pleasant after a nice dinner in one the good restaurant close to the hotel. The fancy neighbourhood frequented by mainly locals had a great atmosphere. The room was super clean. Mr Ramazan upgraded my booking and gave me a big room with a nice view on the waterfront

Review 83:That it was only an overnight stay and not longer.

Review 84:Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Nice playground for the kids to play with other local children. Great neighborhood right off the ocean.

Review 85:We stay here on our last night in Turkey so that we were close to the Ataturk Airport. The location was perfect and, to our surprise, was located in the heart of the Green Village with many little shops and cafes nearby as well as the marina. The rooms are modern and clean. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Review 86:We reserved a triple and had a large king bed and a pullout chair bed which was comfortable but was too short for our son. We would have expected a real bed.

Review 87:The hotel was very close to IST airport and was very modern with large room and bathroom. The breakfast was one of the best during our stay in Turkey. The staff was very helpful and friendly

Review 88:breakfast was not ready at 8:00 noisy plumbing not enough heating
