Review 3：Breakfast area way to crowded and waited in long lines. Very limited selection of items, would have liked to see something sweet, fruit, yogurt to choose from too.

Review 6：Water was cold in the pool and water park. The hotel smelled like mildew, the floor in our room was wet by the a/c unit that hardly cooled off the room.

The breakfast was the worst included breakfast we've ever had. No eggs, and nothing tasted very good. The waffles were fine, but because there was little else, the lineups were long for that.

Review 24：WiFi was segregated between different floors, and was unable to connect on the first floor. Higher floors had secure WiFi (with password), but first floor was unsecured (open). Breakfast was in a separate building, and was a relatively long walk to reach. When we arrived, it was poorly staffed, filthy (waffle mix all over the counters and floors), there were no plates, and it sounded like a male staff member was molesting a female staff member in the kitchen area.

Review 25：Bedding had blood stain and crumbs on sheets. Clearly not changed from last guests. Cannot get response from management, after many attempts to contact them. Pool & hot tub, along with breakfast area, are not conviently located. Shared facilities with neighboring hotel.

Review 27：we were stuck in a room that wasn't normally used. lights & radio unplugged. dusty sheets & dirty restroom. WIFI access never worked in our room but did 4 doors down in the hallway. Breakfast was ok for a vegetarian, but we all missed having our eggs and bacon. too many stairs to get to the pool. never even used it after we found it.

Breakfast area was filthy, the tables were not wiped the entire time we were in the room and we were unable to find one that wasn't littered with food debris. The second morning we went out for breakfast instead of eating at the hotel. Hotel seemed poorly built, the staircase next to the pool had an obvious mildew smell and the entire hotel just seemed cheaply built.

Review 33：Staff was very friendly, the housekeeping staff was much more friendly than I've encountered in other hotels. Located directly across the street from the ferry which was convenient because we could simply walk over there when we wanted to go to the island.

Review 34：There was not "sound" protection between rooms,..we were awake at 2:00am listening to a very verbal "honeymoon" couple in the adjacent room. Also too many steps in Carriage House for older adults.

Will never stay there again. Tripped abreaker on the breakfast buffet so had no power and no one from thestaff decided to resolve the issue so no hot breakfast and no waffles.

Review 45：The hotel we were sent to had a terrible breakfast system with lineups of 50+ people as everyone had to wait for every waffle to finish. Additionally the fan in the room would not stay on with the heat, so in order to have white noise we had to give up warmth.

Review 49：The front desk lady was REALLY RUDE! Our toilet we had to plunge every time we used it, they wouldn't up grade our room, the front desk lady wouldn't give my son some change. Then when my other family members got there she was REALLY RUDE to them. Wouldn't allow my niece to stay at the hotel, because my niece cancelled her room three days before our trip. Well she changed her mind and ended up going with her parents and sisters. Well the lady wouldn't let my niece stay in their room even tho it said $10 extra per person. Then the front desk lady came to our room and pushed aside my niece and walked right into out room and told us if we are with that party that we had to tell my sister in law if she came back to the front desk she was going to get the cops called on her. My hubby was mad. We both have worked in the hotel business. That is one thing you don't do walk into your guest room. Then if she wanted to relay the message she could've went to my sister in laws room and told her. Needless to say my sister in law left and went to different hotel. WE would've if he had the extra cash. Then the front desk closes at 11pm and stays closed till 8:30 the next day. Like I said the only thing nice about the hotel is the game room. You do have to walk aways to the pool and game room since the hotel is combined with another hotel. Its crazy. The hotel wouldn't even refund our money or even half of it. We didn't also have queen beds like it said. Our another it DOESNT face the bridge you have to walk across the street to the beach and then look upwards towards the bridge. AGAIN I WOULD NEVER EVER STAY THERE AGAIN

Review 50：The only thing that was nice about the hotel was the game room. We had a family get together up here. Wanted to see the fall colors and do some family time. We did have fun going to another hotel that my sister in law stayed at and used there waterpark which was 100 time better. They had slides like a real waterpark would have and that not no kiddie park. The hotel my sister in law stayed at was the Mack. City beach inn. VERY NICE HOTEL..

Review 51：The pool and hot tub had strong chemicals that turned my children's eyes bright red and ruined my sterling silver bracelet that I have worn for 12 years and never taken off. I've been in hundreds of pools and hot tubs and never had this problem.

The next day the lobby was locked with a sign telling us itwas closed and if we needed anything to go next door. The internet wasoff and on. No one answered phones. Review 61：The smell. There is a distinct smell everywhere. The hallways, eating area. We couldn't quite pinpoint what the smell was..it was unpleasant, old, musty. Also, the breakfast was bad. And they were not prepared for the number of people to serve. I would not return.

Review 65：Where do I start? WiFi wasn't working during the stay. I called thephone number provided in the room. They stated they don't servicethis location. I called the front desk and they said its being lookedat. Still wasn't working the next day. Sign out front said grand re-reopening or something similar to that. Are room was very old andoutdated. Tv was from the 1960'S. Advertised free hot breakfast,however had to share with the hotel attached. Laundry carts were linedup and down halls upon arrival. I've never written a review before,however I felt it was necessary for this experience.

Review 67：The breakfast area was very hot, and they needed more workers to keep up with cleaning and changing trash, etc. It also seems like they may have a moisture problem due to the indoor water park. The hallways were not vacuumed, and the bed kept falling apart. Staff was not professional.

Review 68：we arrived at the hotel around 3:00 pm, checked-in and put our luggage in the room. Then we went out to so some sight seeing and walking around the city. When we came back at midnight (we were soooo tired and ready to get some rest) the room's key did not work, after several attempts the staff had move me and my family to another room. That gave me the impression they do poor maintenance to that facility.

Review 69：Hotel is close to everything in the city.

Review 70：Originally given a key to a room and on the outside of the keys envelop was a different room #. Reported to main desk that we couldn't get in our room. Main desk told us to come back up and find a maid to let us in. The maid was unable to open the door with the key we were given and had to use her master key (because it was for a different room). After maintenance worked on the door, We were told (scolded) that we didn't read the room # on the envelop and were trying to get in the wrong room. First of all multiple people looked at the envelop and tried to open the room that the key envelop said it was for.How did it become the guest error for the receptionist writing down the wrong room on the outside of the key envelop? Not our mistake! But we sure were made to feel like it was! Also, workers complain about job in front of guests. Good thing we only staid one night.

Review 71：You could walk to everything, about a 5 minute hike. We were able to view the lake from our room.

This is the only hotel that I noticed the loudness of the doors (to rooms) when being closed,throughout the day and night. Front desk staff not the friendliest (had to ask question, upon question, upon question to get answer to question). Extemely strong musty odor(in hallway) on level where pool is(never did use pool as it looked dirty).

Review 88：I booked this through Booking.com thinking I was getting the best rate. The BEST rate is to simply call the hotel and book it yourself or online. What a scam. Also keep in mind that this hotel is connected to another and all the amenities are shared.

Review 89：The indoor pool was nice because it was too cool to swim in the larger outdoor pool, but it was not very clean. Close to town so you can walk to many places. Breakfast was good but get there early as they do not seemed to be stocked for the amount of guests they have.

Left at 6:35 am, breakfast was included but they didn't serve until 8 am, so we didn't get to take advantage of it. Went to,check out and the lobby was locked up. Review 100：The room I had was supposed to have a lake view. It had a view of the hotel across the street. I didn't like looking through the window because it was filthy. The air conditioner was leaking in our room. I was offered a different room, but that room had a leaking AC unit too. The ceiling in my room displayed water damage from a leaky AC unit in the room above mine. The staff were kind, but didn't seem to feel empowered to create a good experience for my family. The hotel shares a breakfast area with another hotel that connected to it. The breakfast accommodations were too small and the demand for food was greater than the capacity of the staff to provide to guests in a timely fashion. Our bedspreads had holes in them and stains on them. The wifi was unreliable.

Review 101：I was able to walk to our destination points from the hotel and purchase discounted ferry tickets from the hotel.

Review 102：This hotel was filled with mold and mildew with non working fire alarms. It was incredibly dirty and windows to the hotel were left open with no screens. Breakfast garbage was piled in the hallways all day and bins of dirty laundry were all over the place it was nothing like the photos of the hotel indicated. It was bad enough that we came home from our trip early and will not be back to mackinaw for a long time.

Review 103：The pictures on Booking.com showed the back of a "different" building on the beach. I thought that's what I was getting. So the "lakeview" that they described, was the view from ACROSS the street. The balcony I thought I was getting was a balcony bar across the window that didn't open. The room was also very small. The hallway leading from the 3rd floor to the waterpark was TERRIBLE. There was such a strong mold smell, that you had to breathe in your towel or you would get sick from the smell. Need to have a better set up in the breakfast area. Waffle's need to be in another area instead of where the main food is. The line doesn't move because people are waiting to make waffles. Way too many people with two hotels sharing breakfast. The only thing good was the waffles. The powdered eggs were terrible, and so was the sausage. Biscuits were microwaved and were dried out. I know it's not easy getting breakfast for so many people, and the ladies that worked there were on top of it, but the food they served could have been of better quality. You are paying a lot to stay there, so the food should at least be decent. The front desk staff was nice, unless you had a complaint.

Review 104：Loved the fact that the Waterpark was right at the hotel. My daughter really enjoyed it, and had a lot of fun. Nice that there was an indoor and outdoor pool as well.

Review 105：No refrigerator. TV didn't work and at 11:30 pm someone came up to fix it. Breakfast area in other building was not good for someone that has limited mobility. The staff just said on 3rd floor. They didn't say other building or that it required a huge walk. My husband couldn't make it but that was ok because breakfast was subpar and no decaff coffee.

Review 107：Our room was in a corner between 2 'employees only' doorways. Starting at about 7am, there was a constant slamming sound of those doors, which held housekeeping supplies. The carpets were stained everywhere, our room had an unusual odor, and there were dozens of tiny black bugs on the air conditioner. The price was fairly high for this. The breakfast buffet was not staffed well enough and the sole worker would get easily annoyed if a request was made.

We were told there would be a balcony facing the water; we were told there would be a refrigerator and microwave in the room for our use. None of these things existed. When we checked in at 4:oo pm, we were told the room was not ready, but would be in 15 minutes. We showed the clerk the confirmation page from the web site which clearly stated a 3:oo check-in time. The water park advertised and the pool were far away from the rooms and then we discovered they were in a different Hotel: Comfort Inn. We asked to use the computer in the lobby, but there was not one for our use and we were told to use the one in the lobby at the Hotel next door. We feel we were mislead and we did not get our money's worth at all.

Review 120：The mold problem that they had where you ate your breakfast was so strong that we couldn't eat there. The dirty laundry that set out in the hall and in front of our room that we had to move to get into our room. The stained towel that they put on our towel rack to whip off with after we cleaned ourselves. When we complained about it they just said sorry and wouldn't take anything off our bill. I complained about this every day and still nothing got done or taken off the bill. Will never stay there again and will never recommend this to anybody else.

I am a veteran that has trouble sleeping, so when I went downstairs to have a cigarette at 1:00am and found that the doors were not locked, and did not lock for our whole three day stay. I could not sleep right my whole vacation. The staff did not care about anything we had to say. Construction going on in the "breakfast " area. I have never stayed in worse hotel

Review 133：This place is extremely noisy, all doors need to be slamed in order to close properly, sounds heard through walls, flloors. The bathroom exhaust fan was falling out of the ceiling, the uder counter of the sink was not finished, TV set was old and small.

Review 134：We liked the location and the front desk staff was extrely polite and helpfull.

Review 135：Rooms could have been cleaner...sheets had small stains. Husband didn't notice but I did.

Review 136：Access to pool & water park, extensive breakfast, clean bathroom, good access to ferry.
