Reviews for Stationen B&B

Review 1:Wifi only available in the main lobby, which you do get 24x7 access to.

Review 2:If you're a fan of the Wallander films, you really can't beat the location. This is a very "self-service" property with very limited staff hours, no breakfast, etc. Check in was from 4pm to 6pm only. Parking is easy in the public pay lot next door (cheap and largely empty) and the proximity to trains and ferry were not a noise problem at all. We stayed in a larger room in the separate building which was very nice and recently renovated. Easy walk to waterfront/marina and into Ystad. Also near the foot/bike path that runs west along the coast - very beautiful. Shared kitchen available in the main building.

Review 3:The manager Lars is only there for a short period of time and No one is around most of the time. The costs for what you get in terms of room is VERY expensive especially in the new rooms

Review 4:Location is great

Review 5:The Wifi does not worked at All! No breakfast although place was Bed and Breakfast.

Review 6:The city centre was near and the view to harbour and railways was interesting. The sitting area was nice and the kitchen was well equipped.

Review 7:-Breakfast was good considering that it is B&B place. -Many showers. -Good location in the harbour, although next to railway stations (was not noisy though) -friendly staff

Review 8:Would have liked a double bed option.

Review 9:Location was good, loved the connection to Wallander! Ystad was lovely and this B&B fitted right into the feel of the town

Review 10:It is quite expensive for a hostel and the check-in times are more than inconvenient (4-6 pm)! where there is no possibility to leave the luggage if arrivef earlier!

Review 11:It is directly located at the station of ystad.

Review 12:no breakfast was served. we were just two days out from the start of the travel season. we did find a great cafe off the center. Marie's Cafeet near the church is excellent food at a reasonable price.

Review 13:the central location was excellent, also enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our room and the wonderful sitting room,

Review 14:Could only access to check in between four and six

Review 15:Excellent location and the shared bath facilities were fine as they were solo rooms As a Kurt wallendar fan it was thrilling to stay there

Review 16:Bad wi fi availability - I couldn't get it in the lounge and it's not available in the bedrooms. The signal in the breakfast room/reception was intermittent. Would have preferred en suite bathroom.

Review 17:Great, central location. Great breakfast. Single room was ok for sleeping in which was all I wanted. Plenty of shared loos and showers.

Review 18:Only bad thing to say, it was a little problem flushing in wc , shortly after someone used it.

Review 19:Just love the house and the realy nice room with the tv and sofas. Love the markings with some of the rooms from Wallander

Review 20:Front desk staff was mostly absent, and not overly friendly. This is a B&B but there was no breakfast - maybe due to the time of the year we stayed (April).

Review 21:Great historic train station converted to hotel. Location is excellent. The "apartment" suite we stayed in was very roomy and comfortable.

Review 22:WIFI had poor coverage. Toiletts had very old standard, they were not very pleasant to see.

Review 23:Great personal. Great location and best prices !! The rooms were good !

Review 24:Although rooms are fine-I cannot imagine being able to sleep when it's warmer and the windows are open for air. I was there in cooler weather and noise levels from trains and ferries are OK with windows closed-not open. But my biggest complaint is the WIFI. This was my last stop after seven weeks in five countries. On a few occasions, I had to go to a lobby for a good signal, but usually had a good connection. I could ONLY get online here if I stood (not sat) right in front of reception-and I was not the only guest having issues with the signal. AND that only worked a day and a half of my three days there. There is simply no excuse in 2014 for poor WIFI other than the owner being unwilling to pay for a proper signal. Many tourists, like me, use only WIFI while traveling and it's simply expected today. When I mentioned my issues to the person at reception, they just shrugged. Given the ridiculous reception hours (4-6pm) in Sept, it obvious this hotel (really a hostel) is run just to make money. The women's restroom was not cleaned in the three days I was there-and the worst part of all is that this is the cheapest option in Ystad and many of the other hotels are charging twice as much for not much more. Still- I stayed at this hostel in the off season and STILL felt I was paying too much, cannot imagine paying the summer rates for so little-and no WIFI.

Review 25:My room was fine-good bed with good linens and a great view of the harbour. Nice common areas-plenty of toilets and enough showers. Great location for trains, ferries and exploring the area.

Review 26:It was slightly dirty under the bed but was generally a clean environment.

Review 27:Excellent value, no real qualms, the staff were friendly and welcoming and fixed a minor problem immediately. Location is one of the biggest plus points and it is a lovely old building. Easy to find.

Review 28:If there are groups with young children, give them a apart area. We have a bad experience in the first night of our stay. It wasn't possible to use anything in the kitchen, al the dishes are used and dirty. Also they using the bathrooms, toilets and it was not pretty to share, for what they left. We thought it likes a stay-o-kay.

Review 29:A very nice lady at the reception. Tasty breakfast. Attractive locationnearby city centre and ferries. But the main thing is a hovering spiritform Wallander in the building in which episodes based on Mankell'snovels were filmed. The hotel is an important destination for all thetourists who love these crime stories.

Review 30:No real dislikes here, although if you struggle with stairs, there's no lift, but we were fine.

Review 31:Fantastic location for Ystad, which is a lovely town. The b&b is half of the beautiful old station, the other half still in use as the town's fairly busy rail link. Considering this and the close proximity of the ferry terminal, the rooms were remarkably peaceful, even with the windows open. The decor was in keeping with the building and very cosy. This is the first holiday where I haven't been desperate to get back home to my own bed - they were really comfy. The rooms and all the other shared spaces were spacious, and there were plenty of bathrooms to share too.

Review 32:Very noisy from the harbour, even during the night Stench from the Bornholm ferry Breakfast only until 9 h

Review 33:Good beds Close to Town Centre Nice view on the baltic sea

Review 34:Our room wasn't air conditioned when our friends was.. It was like a sauna in the hot weather! I have never woken up sweating and for 3 nights with children it was too much. Did tell them and asked for fan but nothing was done and I'm not one of those that likes to make a fuss but that is basic human comfort.

Review 35:Breakfast provided all we needed.. It was clean and showers powerful

Review 36:Top notch location minutes from the town centre. Fantastic venue in its own right but the Wallander element is a huge bonus. Clean, spacious and quiet - everything you need for a very fair price.

Review 37:A night stay was quite expensive as breakfast was not provided also.

Review 38:The room although small was really comfortable.

Review 39:Nothing

Review 40:Excellent and well maintained property with exceptionally helpful and polite staff. Superb location 1 min from beach.

Review 41:Wi-fi was not working. Breakfast was quite simple.

Review 42:It was great to be in the filming location of Wallander.

Review 43:Mye for penger! Value for money.

Review 44:No Breakfast

Review 45:Who put that stupid metal chandalier by the window in room 11? Kept bumping my head on it. Just shorten the chain!!!!

Review 46:Convenience.

Review 47:ni wifi in the room, teak wifi in common area

Review 48:extremly comfy bed. nice room, nice common area

Review 49:You had to make your own bed. No Breakfast, and rooms are cold.

Review 50:Location

Review 51:Location great. Good value for money. Great for trains Not noise from wharf or trains.

Review 52:A bit far from center of Simrishanm because I don't have car

Review 53:Clean

Review 54:wi fi didnt work. bathrooms were dirty. no staff around if needed. way over priced for what we got. its a hostel, not a b&b!

Review 55:location

Review 56:Very noisy building, and trains coming and going just beside the hotel. No elevator for guests with heavy luggage, all rooms are on the second floor.

Review 57:Low cost lodging.

Review 58:Calling it a B & B is a little misleading as it's more like a good quality hostel. Breakfast is only available in high season. Check in time is very restricted and not what was listed on the booking site we used.

Review 59:Loved the Wallander theme. Location excellent for arriving by train and for access to Ystad, which is a beautiful town. Although showers and toilets were shared this was never a problem as they never ran out of hot water. It was fun watching the ferries come and go.

Review 60:Had to make my own bed. Problems with locking bedroom door. Building closed until 16.00 so unable to leave luggage. Tourist Office across the road looked after it.

Review 61:Great location and 'Wallander factor'. Good cooking facilities.

Review 62:I arrived at 14:45 and had to wait until 16:00 in order to check in and get rid of my luggage. It wasn't clear where bicycle hire was available.

Review 63:As I was making a tour by rail, its location was ideal. Although it was advertised as a B&B there was no breakfast provided, but there was an excellent kitchen with 'fridge so I was able to do my own meals.

Review 64:- Wallander theme - great, clean rooms - shared sitting area is very comfortable and nice looking - not that expensive for sweden - good location for Ystad - clean kitchen

Review 65:Was exactly what i needed - central, close to coast and railway, close to both city and nature, simple, good price and possibility to make my own food. Service was okej, all was clean and nice

Review 66:Was very close to Ferry port (inc. loading and unloading) so was very noisy throughout the night and early morning

Review 67:Very good value - clean and comfortable. You can park in the station next door and very close to station / town Facilities are basic - but a good lounge - cheap and clean!

Review 68:shared bathroom and showers, poor check in via limited hours only, overly expensive for what was provided

Review 69:location - right beside train station and ferry terminal

Review 70:Basically, we seemed to be the only ones there. Even the manager did not show up until the morning to collect payment. He exchanged a discount to avoid cooking breakfast for just the 2 of us.

Review 71:We found it a very interesting setting. Certainly convenient to the city and travel in and out. Interesting history which could be emphasized more.

Review 72:Steep staircase, no lift, however not a problem for us.

Review 73:Convenient location, no frills, large room, helpful staff, lots ofinformation about travelling elsewhere and sightseeing.

Review 74:Besides the breakfast and the dining room it's more of a youth hostel but more expensive

Review 75:good location, near at the ferry terminal, close to the city and the marina breakfast o.k. Although part of the train station not too busy

Review 76:Reception only open for a couple hours and no one else is on site (ie luggage storage next store), wi-fi only downstairs. Bathroom facilities very basic.

Review 77:The location is the best thing going for this place, it is literally the back of the train station. Also the Wallander-related room names. Pretty quiet considering its location. Large communal areas such as the lounge and a kitchen with fridge that you can use, and a pretty reception area. Vintage photos on the walls.

Review 78:Check in times too restrictive, clean linen supplied but beds not made, no elevator, toilets clean but only just adequate, showers similar to toilets, WiFi did not work. This place deserves less than a one star rating, but charges a 4 star price

Review 79:Very well located, handy to both Rail & Ferry.

Review 80:Bed&breakfast, but without breakfast. Did not have wifi in spite of what was said on website. Sounds from the train station was heard inside the rooms.

Review 81:Good location near the train station and ferries.

Review 82:You have to make your own breakfast or go across the street - just a minute's walk

Review 83:Lovely old building. Right beside station and harbour (but in Ystad that is a very good neighbourhood). Right beside old town, which is beautiful. Very clean, Lovely big sitting room for guests, nice bedrooms. Wallander of course.

Review 84:Shared bathrooms should be cleaner and toilet paper and soap dispensershould be refilled now and then. Thick dust and dirt under the beds, rooms otherwise clean. Guests have to make their own beds. Wifi notavailable in rooms and often slow where available. Shared kitchen wellequipped but frying pans old and worn-out.

Review 85:The building is very nice and located directly at the train station andin the city centre. Large and cosy shared living room with couch and tv.Comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay, however we expected it to be abit cleaner!

Review 86:no one at reception during most of the stay

Review 87:very near to port and train station

Review 88:The hotel was a film set for the Wallander series! Great location in lovely Ystad, great facilities for self catering plus bar (in high season).

Review 89:Bug bites

Review 90:Staff could have been friendlier

Review 91:Fantastic location, charming building, spacious and clean room, value for money.

Review 92:Breakfast is quite early, only from seven to nine. If your on holidays, this is to early

Review 93:It was very nice and comfortable

Review 94:None

Review 95:Location, Historic place, unique

Review 96:Check-in restrictions Lack of travel information

Review 97:Convenience Proximity to public transport
