Review 1：the hotel is almost perfect, there was a strange smell in our room, maybe from the moisture in the air from the ocean - wasn't worth compaining ,we just opened a window. would love it if they had a wheelchair accesable bathroom option - was a little hard for me to use the rooms toilet and shower.

Review 2：The closest hotel you will find to the beach. Best bar tender, amazing staff. The balconies that looked out to the water were unreal, woke up to the sound of the waves every morning. they were also really friendly and accomodating to me who was travelling in a wheelchair. resaturant food is great too!

Review 3：Breakfast was ordinary, with a few, basic choices. Double rooms are small (you need to get creative with luggage placement).

Review 4：Location is perfect, right by a major plaza with restaurants and shops nearby. Views of the beach, the sea and surrounding cliff are excellent from our balcony. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Bathroom fixtures are modern and up to par.

Review 5：The parking was a five minute walk from the hotel which wasn't a bad walk at all. Very beautiful along the shore and the parking is free. I had a very early flight, so checking out was a slight inconvenience to have to walk to get the car in the middle of the night. But it all worked out.

Review 6：The location was perfect. The restaurant was excellent. I am a vegetarian and they had some excellent options for me. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful.

Review 7：There were street works on infront of the hotel which prohibited you to drive the normal way to the hotel. The hotel should have informed about these works beforehand. We now spent more than an hour trying to find our way to the hotel driving up and down along supernarrow streets and having to reverse without being able to turnaround. Really annoying. The staff didn´t seem to understand the problem and where quite rude.

Review 8：Good location in front of the see.Good breakfast.

Review 9：Clean and comfortable. With window open at night we could hear the waves crashing up against the shore. Breakfast buffet was full hot and cold -very good. Ate in the restaurant and had their specialty - deboned fish -with lots of vegetables (nice touch). Parking is at a related hotel close by. Staff was very helpful. Would definitely stray there again.

Review 11：Everything was perfect. The best location and ocean view. Nice and tasty breakfast with variety of cheeses and jams. I would recommend to pay extra and get a room with the ocean view (there are only 2 rooms). Receptionist was very kind and was checked in us in the morning instead of 16.00.

Review 12：Unfortunately for the hotel, the town of Nazare is under construction of the main access road to the hotel. It was a nightmare to enter the town, and only by breaking certain traffic rules, we managed to arrive. We felt very sorry for the residents of Nazare dealing with such an unorganized way to deal with a construction without offering detours to its visitors.

Hotel Mar Bravo is across the road from the beach in the old town and a short walk from the funicular to Sitio where the view of Nazare is spectacular.Free parking underground at the Hotel Praia a few blocks away. Quite spacious room, good bathroom and comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast in an ocean view dining area.

Review 30：Parking is a little tricky, because you have to pull up to the hotel, park somewhat precariously in order to get directions to the parking garage...which is located several blocks away...But parking is included, which is great!

Review 34：Check-in. You have to figure out where to park (no one told us there is an unmarked place in front), lug your own luggage in to your room without a cart, and then park 5 blocks away. Wifi didn't work in the corner room so we had to go to the restaurant to use it. Very noisy with the beach crowd and a very crowded

The redhead who checked us and checked us out was great. The others, not so friendly. If you want a nice beach hotel in a great location, this is a good place. Very modern.

We registered in late morning and the only room svailable was viewless of beach, OK, but the only one of two rooms without s balcony. So much for planning ahead. Dsiappointing.

Review 50：Cleanliness of the room there where hair all over bathroom including walls, Toilet seat I mean terrible. I even found big long hair under my sheets just awful. On our arrival late in the evening we asked if the room have been settled already since I so my bank statement and the money have been taken, lady confirmed! in the morning we have to pay again after a 30 min conversation, I'm happy to say the money have been refunded 3 weeks later.

Review 56：This is not my first time in this hotel, definitely is my home in Nazare... I would return anytime with pleasure. The hotel is very well located, near the beach, restaurants and bars if you are interested in night life, with clean and comfort rooms. You can hear the sound of the waves crushing on the shore, even in winter this place has his own magic. Very helpful staff that assist you anytime. The hotel might not have it's own parking but offers you parking facilities for free just few meters way... free wi-fi internet access... what you need more :) ???

Review 57：Access to room at 16H00 only - we arrived at 17H00 and the floors were still wet! No hairdryer, although advertised. Tea facilities stale - 1/2 opened sugar packet! and no coffee. Hype in booking advertisement not matched to reality. Free breakfast .... not worth it! Poor selection and quality....

Review 59：The room was a "lateral view" in the end, which was a bit deceiving, since we thought our balcony would have a view of the ocean. For the price this was not worth it. Additionally, in the space where they could have seaview rooms that have a "lounge" that no one uses. Lastly, they seemed to be having trouble processing credit cards, which was frustrating when we checked in as we left very early when we checked out.

Review 70：A seaside hotel, but only a few rooms have ocean-view and tiny balcony. My room was very small, hard to walk as I placed my suitcase. I could not bear a bad smell coming out of sewage pipe in bath room. I stopped up the bathtub, hand-washbowl and Bidet. The smell became smaller, but continued all the night. (I supposed sewage pipe did not have “S” shape section to block the sewage air, that could be a construction error.) I informed the reception about this problem, but the staff was not surprised at all. I suppose the hotel knew about it, but did not reconstruct the pipe (Sept. 2014). The black-out curtain was shorter than the width of window. I could not sleep well because of street lights. I didn’t have dinner in the hotel restaurant. This may be my personal impression, but I didn’t like to eat in the place of highschool-cafeteria-like atmosphere, though I’ve heard the food was nice. I do not know why this hotel has 4 stars. Very expensive compared with the quality of other hotels in the region.

Review 87：Though it is in no way a reflection on the hotel, we stayed only one night, a Saturday, in July at the height of the season. The hotel is situated directly on one of the main squares in Nazare and given that it was a Sat. night at the height of the season, the revelry and partying did not stop (quite literally) until 6 am Sunday morning. The windows of the room are quite well made and did a reasonable job of keeping most of the noise out, however be forewarned that at least in Summer, they like to party hard and late in Nazare.

Review 88：We managed to get the corner room on the top floor with two balconies, one directly overlooking the ocean and one overlooking the central square to the north. The room was clean and comfortable if not on the smallish side, but the views were wonderful. Breakfast was well done but can't speak to the restaurant in general as we didn't eat there.
