Review 1：Having a wind break/wall would've made the bon fire a lot more enjoyable. The wind coming off the lake was super chilly and strong.
Review 2：The location was amazing. We were maybe 20 yards from the lake. There were few cabins so the beach was not crowded at all. Furthermore, it was quiet and the nightly free bon fires were awesome.
Review 3：Some cabins are connected to another one. Didn't have as much privacy as expected.

Review 5：Standard room was a poor value. We upgraded to their Best room, (at significant cost) which had feces in toilet, no blanket, no comforter, toilet plunger by the steps. We switched again, much better but off to such a bad start. Cannot recommend due to first impression disaster!

Review 7：Customer service. There was two people working this perticular day. A male and a female. The female was polite as she helped us but... The male was very rude to the group of people that came in behind us to check in. It was very embarrassing and unprofessional. I will never stay here again for this reason!
Review 8：There were 5 in our cabin. 2 towels 1 shampoo 1 conditioner. When we went to the desk to ask for these items the staff was rude. Spending any amount of money as a customer we should have not been treated like that.
Review 9：The water park was nice. We had a 12 year old and he had a blast. Our TV remote wouldn't work the msintanance guy was nice. He fixed it and was nice when he did it.
Review 10：The actual cabin was not as nice as the pictures on the website. It was one of the older cabins. Breakfast was not as good as other places. Had breakfast there the first day, ate out the other days.

Review 14：I was not impressed with the front desk staff. On my few interactions they seemed to be bothered by my questions and gave the general impression they would rather be elsewhere.
Review 15：The cabin was perfect, it was clean and comfortable, it was quiet and perfect for a long stay. The mini fridge was a great convenience. The housekeeping staff was friendly and worked really hard to make our stay comfortable. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend.
Review 16：The cabin smelled like cedar. The bedroom was too small and the person sleeping against the wall had to climb over the other person to get in and out of bed. The breakfast was not very good and it was too crowded.

Review 18：First we booked in March and they didn't have our reservation, used my phone to prove I reserved cabin..they scrambled...they had to give us a bigger cabin which had two tvs..the one in main bedroom didn't work...the maintenance guys tried to fix so we went out to eat said they would have it fixed by the time we get back instead both tvs didn't work...maintenance guys were great but like I said know neither one worked..Boyfriend went to talk to Staff at the front desk and they were completely useless and very rude..He came back to the cabin so upset...the internet was also not working so we sat in our cabin with no tv or internet...It was not an enjoyable time...

Review 22：Did not actually get a cabin. Got dumped into an old outdated hotel instead. Not very clean. Bugs in room. Sheets on beds were not fitted and fell off. Probably the worst room i ever stayed in.

Review 24：Their was comb webs in the upper windows and the two little girls was covered on the back of their necks and into their hair with large spider bits they complained all night something was biting them. floors needed cleaned phones didn't work. Was not happy about this cabin.
Review 25：We travel to mackinaw city at least once a year and this was by far the worst breakfast bar there. We wouldn't go after the first morning. Free wifi would not connect.
Review 26：Breakfast area was filthy. No clean tables to be had. Out of coffee and when more was brewed the server just poured new water over the old ground coffee.

Review 29：Loved the cabins rustic feel. Was clean and was small but perfect for one couple. Can't wait to come again with more family and get the larger cabins.
Review 30：The cabin was dirty when we arrived. Hair in the shower and the floors had clearly not been mopped in a long time. All of our socks were black from the floor. Housekeeping did not come to the cabin for the first 2 days of our stay. Staff was rude. WiFi did not work. Breakfast buffet was a joke. The area was way to small for all of the people using it and there was trash everywhere. Not taking the trash out was the theme for the entire place.

Review 32：Our reservation couldn't be found. Gave us a nice room to make up for that night. Not real clean, had to keep asking for even simple things. ( Internet password) have to go to entirely different hotel for breakfast and indoor swimming pool. Kept being sent between the two hotels for soda, pool use ban, etc.
Review 33：The place was dirty: Large dust bunnies on both floors. Large cobwebs/dust webs hanging from ceiling and walls. Eating/food prep surfaces had sticky substance on them and the list could go on. Poor cleaning crew!

Review 35：Inability to check in @ 4pm when promised that the cabin would beavailable. We made at least 3 trips to the reception area to check inand obtain a key. On the first trip, around 1:30, we were told to returnlater to check in. We knew 4pm was the correct time so this was not anissue. Later, we returned just to check again to see if the cabin wasavailable. We had explored the small town all we intended to do at thattime.. We checked in, paid but did not receive a key as the cabin wasnot ready. We understood. At 4 pm we returned only to wait in aregistration line again. We were given a key to a cabin. Note there arekeys with cabin numbers but if you are in the "A" version ofthe cabin, the key is not labeled as such. When we drove around to it,it was not ready. We went back to reception to be assigned yet anothercabin. I told the manager that I knew that one was not available eitheras the housekeeper was still cleaning it. He offered us another key butbefore accepting it, I asked him to personally check it'savailability. Finally around 5 pm we were able to get into a cabin. Weleft the next morning at 0700 without breakfast. Our choice. Our staywas short and we were not able to take advantage of the water parks,free breakfast and wifi. Wifi never worked. The password did not work.The manager indicated he would reset the router and asked if we hadtried the sister facility's site with the same pw. Neither of themever worked. There was no follow up from the manager. We asked for arefund after the debacle with the front desk. This was denied because ofthe 72 hour cancellation penalty. Ok, I understand that. I asked for anupgrade as a courtesy but was told I would need to pay an additional$140 for the night. Overall, this is the worst experience I have hadwith a Booking.com facility.

Review 39：They lost our reservation because we booked it in March, then stuck us in a room right behind the office. The room was dirty and not appealing at all. The bathroom was very tiny, we found bugs in the room and the bed felt like you slept on pavement. They gave us 2 pillows that were made for kids (this is not enough for 2 adults). The staff didn't really care that we were unhappy with our stay. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone! Not as they advertise it online.

Obviously the manager post his business with booking.com not me. The manager told me he was manager and owner. I'm not sure that's the truth. He was rude and unprofessional. Won't stay there again unless they have new management.

Review 54：We traveled to Mackinaw for a 1-night birthday celebration for my son's 9th. There were 4 of us, 2 moms and 2 kids. The boys are 7 and 9. Sharing walls and floors was not an option. I loved the privacy and we were in 310, as close as you can get to the water park. We had a happy stay, no complaints!
Review 55：I would reccomend these cabins to family and friends. They even have a indoor waterpark, pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Its so much fun, and the fact that you have your own personal space (cabin) is amazing. We had so much fun during our stay.
Review 56：Website states that cabin sleeps 10 but really only room for 6 people...wi-fi sucked very slow although we weren't really there to be browsing the web...when winding down from a busy day the kids wanted to play on their devices and couldn't connect...pool/water park was dirty and some kid pooped in the pool and no staff around to clean it up or get families out of the area...

Review 58：That the cabin we were in the air conditioner was over the head of the bed so that you felt like you were in a gale of wind all the time if the fan was on. Also they stated that they had free wifi it was a joke I was able to get one 2 times both times was kicked off within 5 minutes.

Review 60：I orginally ordered a 2 bed cabin and it confirmed a 1 bed cabin. The staff at the office of the cabins were rude to my husband and uninformative. The staff at the hotel next door to the cabins, where the waterpark was we could use was also rude and short in comments. We were not happy with several things. We had conversation with a few surrounding guests in the cabins and they were upset as well. With the booking mixups and rudeness too. Review 62：We had bats in a hole above the front door , though they were not inside the cabin we could not sit outside on our porch at all because if we made to much noise they woke up and started flying. Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay there again!
Review 63：I loved, loved, loved the cabin that we rented. They were very clean and well kept. And we felt like we were really camping out. The cabins were really up to date and stylish.
Review 64：1. No soap holder in the shower-ugh. 2. New towels were brought in but the used towels not taken. Piles of wet towels. 3. New coffee packets brought in but no new cups....what were they thinking? 4. The breakfast room at the next-door hotel was very hard to find. The set up was so poorly arranged that many people were frustrated. Since TWO hotels were sharing breakfast facilities, there should have been more than ONE person to keep the food/drink stocked. Constant interruptions and long waits for simple things like coffee and yogurt. I was glad to leave.

The breakfast bar they advertise was terrible. Long long lines, eggs were salty, one waffle machine that was holding up the line. They ran out of sausage patties and everyone waited until they brought out some more. The coffee was the worst.

When I asked for theroom I booked the manager mike told me there was nothing he could do.When I insisted on the room I booked or I wanted a refund I was told no.When I stated I would go to the Better Buisness Bureu he said have atit. As a young couple on our honeymoon we did not need another family onthe other side of a very thin door. The manager finally"upgraded" us to a 3 bedroom cabin that stood alone. Thiscabin 322 was better than 311 however there was no room in the bedrooms.The one bedroom you couldn't open the door all the way without thedoor hitting the bed. In the.other room that we stayed in there was onlya foot between the wall and the bed on both sides. Also in the bathroomabove the.shower it looked like mold (I have pictures) my now husbandhas sever asthma and we are lucky this did not ruin our vacation. Iwouldm have brought this issue up to the staff but anytime I called thefront desk they hung up.on me. We will never stay at this facility againand will not recommend to anyone.

The pictures on the web were only of thenewer cabins and not the ones we rented. Very dissapointed and will notbe returning to these cabins and will not be recommending to anyone Iknow. For the amount of money, there is no reasons these cabins cannotbe upkept better.. Especially with being located in a high tourist areawhere you are competeing for customers!
Review 134：Bathtub and sink did not drain well, telephone did not work (I needed tocall the front desk). The unit was not a "chalet" as I reserved--it was a duplex.
Review 135：The manager was rude when I told him and showed him a picture of the cabin that we re supposed to get it was totally different. We had two couples traveling together and we were supposed to get two bedrooms and a living room all we got was two bedrooms and he said that if we wanted the other it was a three room rental not what the website said. So he proceeded to be offending in that he went in the back room grabbed some tools and said let's build another room we exchanged a few jabs and I went back to cabin.
