Reviews for Turkmen Konagi
Review 1:Everything was beautiful, owner of hotel s so helpful, warm ,always try to make u relax U ve to try that hotel if u come to Sanliurfa By the way hotel s so close to touristic places
Review 2:The owners are incredibly hospitable, they did everything in their power to make my stay pleasurable. The location is great and the amenities are very good, lovely little inn.
Review 3:Parking facility away from hotel Small bathroom with faulty light switch Somewhat overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at in the region
Review 4:Location - close to Balıklıgöl (fish pond) Despite being the only guests good breakfast selection and fresh. Nice, relatively spacious rooms Friendly helpful staff
Review 5:No English or other European language. Too noisy at night because of non hotel guests coming to drink tea, talk and play table games (the courtyard is quite narrow and makes effect of stone made well). The first night these guests calmed just before 2 AM !
Review 6:Ideal location. Helpful owner. Nice room. Beautiful view from terrace.
Review 7:It is rather difficult to find it, hidden in a traditional Urfa neighborhood. From the main road on top of the underground parking lot, one needs to climb several flights of stairs past the shops to reach the narrow alleys. Guiding sings are posted visibly on the stone walls from there on. The breakfast room, creatively situated in the basement and arranged in a traditional "oriental" setting, could greatly benefit from introducing one or two tables with chairs for those of us who find it challenging to adapt to lower levels of seating and eating.
Review 8:It is a family managed mini-hotel opened in a newly renovated private house with a quaint inner patio, dating from the beginning of the 20th century. The place is in the proximity of the former Armenian Church of St. John, currently the Salahedin Mosque. The views from the roof terrace over the Balıklıgöl Park and the Citadel are probably the best in town.
Review 9:good location, beautiful view from the terrace , walking distance to all main sights. owner and his daughter gave us info about city, recommended good restaurant, everything was OK
Review 10:Negotiating the narrow alley was a bit harrowing but fun:-)
Review 11:Great location close to the Fish ponds and Castle Great staff very friendly Quaint boutique Value for money
Review 12:The location is only a short distance from the balikgol and the two amazing museums and has a lovely view from the roof terrace. Remzi Bey was very helpful and friendly taking us to Gobeklitepe, Nemrut Dag and showing us around the old area of the city. The breakfast was good and the rooms had lots of character and were clean and comfortable.
Review 13:Not much to dislike, at such a friendly cared for hotel. As an interior designer, I could recommend they put warmer light bulbs (instead of cool, compact fluorescent) in the overhead fixtures for greater ambience & to better highlight the custom carved ceilings. I think the shower head holder was slightly dislodged from the wall & needed to be fixed.
Review 14:The owner was a very kind host and took good care of us. He engaged us, helped us at every turn and takes pride in his work & his hotel. When we asked where to eat dinner nearby, he personally walked us to a restaurant & got us a table. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished and very clean. The hotel is literally across the street from the Abraham cave, pound of fish & the grand bazaar. It's a very nice place to stay.
Review 15:Do not expect anything that a 5* hotel offers. This is a perfect botique hotel; small, cozy, and nicely decorated. There was a little bathroom smell at the room but I think this was due to historic nature of the "konak".
Review 16:This is a very nice botique hotel with 6-7 rooms. A restored historic Urfa cottage. Parking is available for 10 TL/day at a closed private parking place nearby. Free wi-fi is available at the rooms. Breakfast is served at a local style decorated cave of the cottage. Rooms are very authentic. Balikli gol and bazaars are only a stone throw away from the hotel. Very nice view from the terrace. Hosts are wonderful and very helpful. They assist you for local places to dine and nice places to shop for genuine and healthy spices. I strongly recommend that you stay at this place.
