Review 1：Enjoyed the "bonus" of breakfast and dinner vouchers. Service was excellent - staff trying their best with busy schedule (holiday functions, etc.)

Review 2：We stayed in december. It was a warm day, they only have the option of heat or air for all rooms. They had just turned boiler on. It was 80 in our room. Best advice given by staff was to open outside door. Not happy!!

Review 6：We didn't have the greatest service in the restaurant/bar. We were seated and sat there for quite a while before I had to ask the host who our server was. Many servers walked past us many times and never asked if we had been waited on.

Review 10：Room and facilities were very clean. Staff is attentive and friendly. Excellent customer service that goes above and beyond. For example, when the breakfast hostess heard I had lost my voice, she surprised me with hot lemon tea and honey from the kitchen. The free wifi and free hot breakfast buffet were a great value.

Review 14：This was only the second day that the breakfast buffet was running (vs. ordering off a menu which is no longer offered). The food was not hot enough. I imagine they will remedy this problem very soon.

Review 16：The hotel seriously needs updating. For me, it felt like I'd stepped back in time about 30-40 years (except for the flat screen TV). I halfway expected to see Hugh Hefner in a smoking jacket coming down the hallway. I actually liked this aspect--it was kinda fun. This wouldn't keep me away, but I suspect it does others.

Review 17：Everything was clean, the room was neat, the employees were polite and eager to please. I particularly like having the direct-to-outside door, along with the interior hallway door, which is set off the main hallway--it seems that setup allows for more privacy, less hallway noise getting into the room. I really did enjoy my stay.

Review 20：Almost everything else. Did not feel much like a hotel to me at all. In their pictures they don't show the rooms that are facing the parking lot and seems like a cheap motel to me. I will not come back, and I will not recommend them to anyone.

Review 28：After a hard day on the road driving my parents (85 & 84), it was wonderful to find this place in our "hometown" that we have returned to unfortunately for "only one night". We moved from Ft. Wayne in 1965, have been back a few times but did not know about Don Hall's Guesthouse Hotel. My parents were comfortable and the staff was very accommodating as we had one using a walker. We really slept well in the comfortable beds. We did not get the chance to eat at the hotel but knowing Don Hall's Restaurants from many years ago I am sure it would have been delicious.

Review 79：The patio area outside room 109 was filthy with leaves, trash, cigarette butts. It had not been swept in ages. Also, the faucet in the sink needs to be replaced and the drain snaked. When the drain was open, it was slow; when it was closed, it wouldn't hold water. Finally, the mattress on the bed was way too firm for us and we had trouble getting to sleep.

Review 85：Don halls confirmed my stay. I called to tell them I would be late. They informed me I had no reservation. I was lucky they still had room but the cost would be triple my quote. I informed them I had the email that had a confirmtion and had called ahead to confirm. She questioned me again and confirmed I had talked to someone in motel. She told me she would call me back. They called me and told me to come but was rude when I arrived and told me I would never get a rate like that again. Obviosly someone from motel made a mistake but took it out on the customer.Very unprofessional. The room was ice chin old when I got there took bit to figure out how to get some heat in the room and then I had to use sleeping bag still to get warm.

Review 86：I really didnt get out much in the motel to be treated poorly for their mistake. I did see the hallway that seemed interesting decor. The man at desk when I went to check out was professional and helpful.

Review 87：We went in the winter, and I have never been so cold in my life. The hallways weren't heated, and the trip to the pool was simply painful - so bad my kids wouldn't go again. Even the staff was wearing coats indoors. We wanted to sit by the beautiful fire, but it was just unbearable cold to be outside our room. Our room was under 50 when we arrived; and it did warm up, but our bathroom never did…I would definitely ONLY go back if its completely renovated with new widows and heating/cooling. (A waitress also informed us that last year the A/C didn't work either - but I think they may have fixed that). Such a shame for such a beautiful place.
