Review 1：I was disappointed they didn't give us a room on the Lake side since it is the 'Off Season'... going that extra mile would have been a nice incentive for us to intentionally stay there again as we pass through... But, because of that, we'll check out the Holiday Inn Express first since they have a reputation of taking extra good care of their customers...

Review 5：The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was great - the bed very firm and comfortable the comforters the best we've had at this price point hotel. The pillow...5 of them were great...many towels for two people and one night!

Review 6：We stayed in December, and each time we interacted with the desk staff they were unfriendly (maybe they are tired of telling guests that there isn't much to do in the winter). I wouldn't stay there again, especially since there are two hotels next door that offer similar amenities.

Review 22：The balcony is so small 3 people cannot sit on it. 1 is in front of theair conditioner. If you can out there at all as the screen door was hardto open. The Fire Door in the hallway that stated "Must be closedat all times for safety" never closed. Had the last room on thefirst floor, right by the outgoing boats. The boat sits there and idleswith exhaust coming out. Asked to change rooms, even if just for the thenext night, they would not comply. At night when you try to sit on thetiny balcony, the light from Star Lines hits you right in the face.There were cracked tiles in the bathroom. There was a light bulb out inthe lamp between the beds. Breakfast was blah.Canned fruit, cannedsausage gravy, fake eggs. We had to eat with plastic forks that were socheap, they were not even straight. Went out to breakfast the second dayrather than eat there again. For almost $400 for two nights I expectedat least a 4 star hotel. I will never stay there again.

Review 23：The staff tried to put us in a smaller room than what I had booked when I told them this they acted very disgusted with me was very rude and then did put me in the proper room that I had booked the rooms are worn and beat up looking for what they cost a night . I stayed for three nights

Review 25：Very Expensive for the Quality of the Property. Very hard to tell this is the newest Hotel in Mackinaw City. Parking VERY crowded. Property is beginning to look tired. An average Hampton Inn would win hands down in a contest. 3 star rating is questionable.

Review 35：This was a very clean hotel (I'm picky, especially with children). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is right next to the Starline Ferry (shares the parking lot) which made it great for going to the island. Our room was right next to the Ferry and it was still very quite. Only complaint was out room key did not work several times and new card keys were made. They said make sure there not next to your cell phone-which they were not but?? Internet reception is slow (ipad was ok but iphone worked better off their internet most of the time. There are packages for island activities (butterfly house isn't the one one the carriage tour) and Ferry tickets. Breakfast is average, decent selection but no fresh fruit (only a prepackaged mix). Eat and Nona Lias Pizza, a little expensive but well worth it!! There is a pool but we didn't use it. Ask the front deck for free passes to the (3) water parks at different locations!

Review 36：The breakfast was disappointing unless you enjoy biscuits and gravy. There was nothing I would consider as fresh. Other than a bowl of mushy looking fruit, no fruit. The breakfast room is packed and the tables are wiped off in between use.

Review 44：THE VARIETY WAS HORRIBLE. It would have been nice to have a better selection of cereal as many other hotels do. Such better offerings would include: Raisin Bran, Granola, Wheaties, etc. Also, in the same spirit of offering healthier choices, fresh fruit at a hotel is expected these days, as is the choice of cranberry juice. We were very, very disappointed in your breakfast. If we had stayed one more day, we were going to eat elsewhere and pay, just because we would have appreciated more healthier food. I would like to say here that the lady who worked in the breakfast room on the three days we were there was a very hard worker. It was unbelievable to us, though, that she was doing everything by herself. Not because she couldn't keep up, but even smaller hotels almost always have two people working this area. So, all in all, even though you have a very nice hotel with really nice rooms, your breakfast was a complete turn-off for us, and we most likely would not stay at your place again while visiting Mackinaw City.

Receptionist ignored our request to speak to the manager about the "upgraded" rooms that we did not ask for and did not want. Only option offered was to move to another hotel. Very disappointing service attitude - we will not visit this hotel again. Our visitors from NC was also disappointed with their room next to the stairs - we asked specifically when we booked to be away from the elevators and the stairs.

Review 51：The housekeeping manager Shawn came to our room and agreed with us that the room was nasty dirty and she personally cleaned it herself. When we got back to our room we were very pleased with her services. She did a great job taking care of an unhappy customer!

Review 63：Staff was extraordinarily rude and discourteous. The room they "oversold' us on was absolutely ridiculous. We were the only room on the floor because it opened into the dining room (breakfast room). So right outside our door is the actual eating area. Terrible. One reservation agent actually told me, "I'm done with you," as I was waiting for her to further explain a situation we had. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Review 65：I booked a waterfront "deluxe" room. I got a very small standard waterfront room. Upon arrival, there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. the bed had either sand or crumbs which I found in the middle of the night... The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything going on in the next room. I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been happy - this time was sub-par by comparison.
