Review 1：Only complaint is the water was cold in the kiddy pool.

Review 2：This hotel is friendlier, rooms are bigger and the views are a lot better than some of the Hiatts we have stayed in. The breakfast was hot and filling. The rooms were very sound proof. I would recommend this hotel.

Review 3：Our room was not very clean. There was obvious dust/dirt in the corners on the carpet and under the bed. Also hair tie on the floor. The bath towels and washcloths smelled sour and were threadbare. The entire hotel was extremely hot....with the exception of our room..breakfast area uncomfortably warm. Not at all one would expect for a rate of $319.00/night. Won't stay there again and will advise others not to as well.

Review 5：The wi-fi wasn't good, very slow if it worked at all. The pool didn't open till 12, it would have been nice to at least be able to use just the pool and not the slides earlier. Breakfast was undesirable.

Review 6：The convience of having the waterpark in our hotel.

Review 7：Thinking it was very, very bad for the water park to not open until noon, thereby eliminating us from using a integral part of the hotel during a stay in which I selected the hotel for the waterpark. Since check-in is not until 4pm, we could only use the waterpark for a few hours on our arrival day. Little kids don't stay up until 10pm, but they do get up early. I will not stay here again for this reason.

Review 8：The only staff I found to be very friendly were the lifeguards.

Review 9：Parking lot was always full. Could hardly find a spot. Hotel was blocking some spots with orange cones. My rental car got hit . Scrapes across the whole back bumper. Hotel knew we had 3 teenagers 13, 17, and 18 and 2 adults but maid only left 3_4 washcloths and towels each day. We had to call every night to request more. TV screen very dirty. Coffee pot in room never cleaned. They just left packets of coffee. Bedding on beds were sideways. Bedspread was on reverse side. Was told we had a beautiful view of Lake Huron, but those windows were so dirty it was hard to see past the dead bugs, spiders, webs, and bird poop. Lightbulb in our hall by bathroom was burnt out and globe was full of dead bugs. Bathroom faucet was quite loose, and our elevator stopped working. We could not go down, and we were on 3rd floor. Last of all, Hotel would not honor my AARP card because I went through Booking.com and got a discount when they told me to book online. I paid 496.17 for 3 nights. All it did was rain everyday. I turned a list of complaints in to the front desk when I checked out on August 21, and she said she would give it to the manager. Have not heard a thing, nor any apologies or concessions offered. I have heard several people warn me about the beachfront hotels in Mackinac City about cleanliness no. 1 and how costly the rooms are. I understand fully, and have learned from my 1st time ever. I took my grandchildren with me as they have never been up there before, and my son lives in Mackinac City also. The last 6 years I have been a faithful visitor to the area, sometimes twice a year, but this may very well have been my last trip as my son is moving to Florida in November. I never had to rent a hotel before, but I had the children, and he had no room for all 5 of us. Thankyou.

Review 15：We had to wait a long time past check in time because our room was not cleaned. I asked for a ground level room and they put me on the 3 floor. The curtain rod was broken in our shower and the toilet was plugged. I asked for a gluten free breakfast food. The only thing they had was scrambled eggs and fruit. The fruit was so discussing nobody would eat it. The second day they did not even serve eggs. Non of the staff working in the kitchen had any knowledge of what food being served was gluten free. The beds were so soft by back still hurts. The beds were the worst. I will never stay there again. The last time we stayed the pool water was so filthy it stunk. It should have been shut down by the health department. So this time we stayed we did not even go into the pool area.

Review 21：I didn't like the clipped tones of the staff that I dealt with. Also, I asked for a quiet room on an upper floor and they put me on the ground floor. Some other guests were having a bon fire/party right outside our patio door, when I opened the door to enjoy the view and cool air, I got a bunch of smoke smell in our room as well as a lot of noise. I did not sleep well as the party lasted into the wee hours. I also did not like the late check in.
