Review 1：I booked this hotel because of the spa facilities. But unfortunately when we arrive to the reception the spa was closed for maintenance?!?!?! This was not advertised on the website.....

Review 2：Very chlorinated pool , sauna not open . Maybe it's because we were after the season.

Review 3：We lived in a suite and it was fantastic: beautiful view and comfort. However, earlier we offered a dark and small room . Breakfast was ok , no vegetables . Espresso you have to order from the waiter.

Review 4：Did not get room location we had requested long in advance. NO VIEW. Room size. This is definately not a 4-star facility. 3 stars is generous. No face cloths. No US news station. Misleading info on location.

Review 10：Wifi reception wasn't all that fantastic. Bar and restaurant expensive for the area, head into Nazare and enjoy the many bars and restaurants for better value.

Review 50：you need a car or a bus to get to the beach and more so, back to your room. there is no parking so you need to make do with surounding streets. We had no problem but it was April not high season.

Review 58：Excellent hospitality and service with multilingual staff (at least English, Portuguese, French and Spanish) . Bedroom and bathroom were spotless and we had the most amazing view over the town and the sea. Amazing value for money.

Review 59：Decoration is a bit dated and kitch and there is carpet on all floors. Bathroom isn't brand new either, but works perfectly and the shower closes well to not spill any water on the bathroom floor. The AC unit is quite noisy so it's hard to sleep with it on, so we opened the window. There is a church right across the small street of the hotel, so the bells will definitely wake you up in the morning. The morning we left, there was a nasty sewer smell in the hallways on our floor, but we were glad we couldn't smell it in the rooms.

Review 60：The hotel is up on a hill overlooking the town of Nazare. The view of the coast from one end to the other is amazing... if you are on the terrasse of the breakfast room on the upper floor. Our room had a window facing the street. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large.

Review 61：Not walking distance to city center. No alternative restaurants etc. near the hotel. Bathroom door opened in front of the wc + the door stopper in front of the wc was a toe killer! No shower by the pool!

Review 63：Staff did not took our complain into consideration at all. The entrance door was making a huge rattling noise that sounds in the room like if the neighbour pull chairs on a weak ground !! It was room 201 but I am pretty sure that at least 5 other rooms are concerned. This noise was heard everytime someone was entering the hotel, so, a lot !! Breakfast was nice but no fresh juice and fruit was probably "fresh from a barrel".... At the end, I am a bit disapointing to pay this amount and having a staff not considering complains and not even giving excuses or explanations at the end of the stay - poor customer service !

The hotel was uphill and not suitable for someone with walking difficulties, but it was good exercise for us, and provided the good views over the whole town, beach, harbour and sea. The bar at the poolside was great for kids and also had a good view over the sea. We enjoyed our weekend very much.

Review 81：Some might complain about the location, up on the hill overlooking the town and ocean. However, given how small the town is, only a 5-10 minute car ride. The hotel shuttle into town apparently is only during summer/busier months. The health spa/jacuzzi is in a separate building, and perhaps bc we were there on a wintery April weekend, they said we needed to give them a couple of hours notice to warm up the jets. We were among but a handful of guests that weekend.

Review 82：The hotel itself was modern and clean. The hotel restaurant, while certainly expensive in relation to other restaurants, offered not just a tremendous view but an absolutely fantastic meal. Let me repeat, fantastic. Worth it to eat there even if staying in one of the beachside hotels.

Review 85：It is not a 4-star hotel. Rooms not insulated for sound. Bathroom and toiletries not up to standard. Breakfast room with tiled floor was on top of our suite. Super noisy in the morning. Poor breakfast; not up to a 4-star category. There was one staff only to provide assistance to reception desk and everything else. She noted that she could not recommend any hotels in town because she was from elsewhere. Despite her insistence that there was wi-fi in the room, it never worked. There is no hotel parking and guests have to fend for themselves to find parking in the very narrow streets of the neighborhood.
