Reviews for Indigo Inn
Review 1:Heater too loud and room temperature was not consistently comfortable.
Review 2:Comfortable bed, great having frig for meds, nice to have breakfast, and wine & cheese,as opportunity to meet others.
Review 3:There was a $14/day parking charge, which they added tax to that brought the parking total to over $15/day. I did not read every word of the fine print, and when my parking paper was given, the staff did not mention this extra fee either. I could have parked for free two blocks away. Even if I was not from the area, I could have parked in a lot for $7 a day. I feel this was an excessive charge that was buried in all the paperwork. Very disappointed that a lovely place would resort to price gouging on parking.
Review 4:There was a wonderful wine and appetizer gathering in the evening where we met some very interesting people.
Review 5:Location was perfect. Short walk to almost anywhere you want to go. The afternoon drinks were also really nice, wine and cheese. Breakfast was really good, its more than just toast and coffee. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the outside area.
Review 6:breakfast is very poor ! Was expecting a little more variety but it was the equivalent of a motel type breakfast!!!
Review 7:great location for exploring Charleston by foot. Nice quaint hotel. Rooms were beautiful as well as courtyard.
Review 8:The staff was accommodating & most helpful. The Indigo Inn is a charming place and in the PERFECT location for walking the Historic District. Breakfast varies daily and there are sufficient selections. Wine & cheese in early evening.
Review 9:Wonderful inn, in a great location. The room was lovely and the bathroom has been updated. The breakfast and happy hour was delicious, and you can even get a copy of the recipes. Would stay again.
Review 10:wonderful stay in a beautiful city. Great location with easy walk to the city market. Highly recommended. The one small problem was flaky wi-fi but we spoke to staff and they said they would get right on it. Afternoon wine and cheese was the bomb.
Review 11:The breakfast is delicious, the display stunning. The staff is very courteous and friendly. It is very quiet at the Inn even though the location is in a busy area of Charleston, with shopping and restaurants everywhere.
Review 12:poor accommodations for guests with a pet. very uncomfortable pull-out sofa bed for extra guest. no pillows or blankets provided for pull-out bed until requested. $40 charge for one night for pet. unhelpful and unwelcoming desk clerk.
Review 13:location
Review 14:Breakfast had to be eaten in courtyard which was fine unless it was raining when it was either a few chairs in the lobby or in one's room.
Review 15:Great location. Good continental breakfast and complimentary wine and nibbles early evening.
Review 16:Not a bad experience - rather just a comment. It was rainy when I was there and I think the Indigo would be perfect if it had a lounge where people could sit. There is very limited space in reception. The courtyard is lovely but not covered!
Review 17:Location, style, staff. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
Review 18:Love being in the historic part of Charleston, just a couple blocks from the city market, and walking distance to just about everything. It was very nice to have early evening wine and snacks. We met other travelers and shared sight seeing suggestions.
Review 19:The room was very comfortable with a spacious walk-in shower. Breakfast was wonderful with hot, fresh and abundant choices. Self-parking was adjacent and convenient. Location in the city was great! Close to the market and restaurants.
Review 20:Laundry facility right outside our room meant bins of laundry right outside our door and a view into the laundry room. Cramped breakfast service. One metal key. Old-fashioned feel.
Review 21:Convenient location.
Review 22:Parking is too expensive.
Review 23:Next door to the best restaurant in Charleston (FIG) and within walking distance to King Street and other points of interest.
Review 24:The only thing we had trouble with is having enough plugs in our room. There were only 2 outlets that were easily accessible so if you need more I would recommend bringing a power strip!!
Review 25:This hotel is located right in the middle of all the action downtown. Everywhere we wanted to go was just a short walk away. Free breakfast and afternoon snacks were offered and I loved sitting out in the beautiful courtyard. The nightly parking fee is half of what we saw at other hotels. I was impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, especially the night shift employee Margaret. Her kindness really made our trip wonderful. We can't wait to come back for another visit and we will definitely stay at Indigo Inn again. I highly recommend this hotel!!
Review 26:Our room, while nicely decorated, needs a fresh coat of paint to refresh the room. There was a handprint on the wall.
Review 27:Manager's reception was a very nice touch after an afternoon of traveling. Breakfast was more than I expected with a nice variety.
Review 28:The parking fee had not been explained to us prior to us parking there. Breakfast was really not good, but in Charleston, it would be a shame to eat breakfast in your hotel anyways. Go out and explore!
Review 29:The building is amazing, and the staff super helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated. I will definitely go back.
