Review 1：We were switched to three different rooms because the air conditioning units didnt work. They were renovating but the areas were not blocked off. The rooms were very empty and not inviting. We even had dead bug (roaches) in our bathroom.

Review 2：The location was great. It was right where we needed to be and very close to the water.

Review 3：No elevator. Carpeting was not clean. Did not get our free stay because first 2 nights were booked through choice and 2nd stay was booked through hotel direct since we were checking out and coming back in a couple days. Breakfast very Disappointing.

Review 4：First stay 2nd floor room. Great view. Second stay 1rst floor room. Hard to see the view. Enjoyed pier and picnic tables.

Review 5：Sand on floor.Smelled musty. Could not control temperature. Bathroom shower had blood on the wall. One of the washcloths was dirt stained. Hair not belonging to us on the bathroom floor.

Review 9：The Hotel in general is old and most amenities are outdated. The mattresses and pillow were old. We found a bug in the bed and blood and yellow stains on pillow case and mattress cover.

Review 11：There needs to be something done about your complimentary breakfast. It is barely edible if at all. The scrambled eggs taste like the yoke in a boiled egg and the microwaved biscuits were so hard you couldn't eat them. You should consider adding bacon rather than just sausage. Lastly, you need to explain in the description that your waterside is the Bay and not the ocean, the pictures are misleading.

Review 14：The staff were friendly and helpful. They really cared about the customer. Location is great and view from the bay is beautiful. Free breakfast is hot and delicious. Eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy plus cereal, bagels and more. We love this place.

Review 15：The room was ok for the money. The renovation that appears to have been done was very poor (not professional looking work). The bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was not good in my opinion- milk was sour

Review 16：I liked the location to the beach. This hotel has boat ramp for guest only, which is nice feature if you have jet ski or boat. It was close enough to things we wanted to do & see. We were on budget with this hotel. This price was great. We were not in the room much so it worked.

Review 19：Breakfast was very unorganized, ran out of food early, and cold. I've been to other hotels with hot breakfast but this one was the most craziest setup I've ever seen. They were warming biscuits in the microwave without a napkin, plate, etc. it was unsanitary and turned my stomach.

Review 21：The tub and shower walls did not look as if had been cleaned in many a months--grimey, stained, dirty. We encountered two water bugs during our time in room and waited on breakfast restocking nearly 45 minutes. We finally gave up. The price for Labor Day wknd couldn't be beat and everything outside was immaculate---everything inside was anything but that.

Review 31：They didnt bill my account until three and a half weeks after our stay! Ac unit sounded like a large vehicle was running in our room the entire time. Bathroom mirror was busted when we checked in. No cable for the tv = 3 small children and no entertainment at all. Telephone didn't work. Breakfast was a joke standing room only all morning.

Review 37：When we went to our room, we found the floors (uncarpeted) to be dirty,and there was a 4 inch diameter hole in the floor. The safe was notworking. The phone was not working. The kleenex holder was empty and thewhole bathroom was not very clean. The hotel hallways were dirty withdebris on the floor. On Check-out, the Morning Clerk assured us thatthough the Manager was unavailable, again, she would call us to adjustour bill. She never did. All around a bad experience.

Review 38：We were able to get off our motorcycles, which they allowed us to parkunderneath the check-in overhang. The staff were nice. Breakfast wasonly ok. Software says they calculated mu overall review score as 4.2.Hope that's out of 10 or even 20.

Review 39：We had non smoking rooms and the room smelled like smoke. The panel on the AC unit was not attached. The floor was dirty we had to keep our shoes on the whole time.

Review 53：The breaker in the kitchen kept blowing causing the guests to have have use of the toaster or one of the waffle irons. Each time this happened, the kitchen staff would have to correct it. My husband noted that there were too many appliances and a TV connected to this circuit which was causing an overload. This was rather frustrating each morning.

Review 55：2nd day the hotel had no water and the Manager never informed any guests. I had to go ask about the water and they said 30 minutes, almost 4 hours later no call and still no water. When I asked the front desk she said sorry and that was it. I got a refund for the 2nd day but considering the inconvenience I should have revived a discount and a sincere apology. I won't be staying with this company again.

Review 57：The front desk clerk was very neurotic and emotional. She was very unprofessional. You couldn't open the blinds wide enough to enjoy the view. The pillows were very small like the size of decorative neck pillows. The closest entrance to our room was an inaccessible door or had to be proped open with a pine cone! Lol.

Review 66：Bathroom needs towel bars, soap dish in shower. You need to be able to use the microwave and coffee pot without having to unplug the refrig and seat on the floor to do this. A table by the chair would be nice to set your drink on.

Review 69：The view was AMAZING!!! After reading the reviews I was kind of skeptical about staying here. The staff wad wonderful (room upgraded). The bed was comfortable. The room was VERY clean. Love this place. This is where we will be staying from now on. The drive to the beach was only about 7 minutes. So that was a plus.

Review 70：We did a late check in. The guy at the desk was not polite. He acted like we inconvenienced him. No smile, no "enjoy your stay". The pool was closed for maintenance. This should have been disclosed to us when we booked. There were no bath clothes for the bathroom and the shower had no place to put your toiletries. We had to set all our things on the floor. Upon checkout it took someone 10 minutes to come to the desk. We go to Ft Walton yearly and won't be staying at this hotel again.

They have some great plans taking place, but when we were there the facility was undergoing a big facelift and remodel. General Manager did all he could to make a reasonable adjustment to compensate for our trials.

Review 135：In spite of the renovations going on it still seemed to need more updating, especially the furnishings. There was a tile floor on the second floor which appeared to feel dirty under foot. The mattress seemed a big saggy, although it was not uncomfortable.

Review 136：It was nicely located on the sound between the Red Lobster and the Waffle House and it was set back from the road which helped make it quieter. The rooms were amply large.
