Set in a historical property, with traditional Alto Minho architecture, Solar de Serrade features a green garden. Dating back to the 17th century, this renovated guest house also features a chapel and is located in Monção.
The heated rooms come with a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. The property has antique furnishings, tapestries and traditional Portuguese tiles. Also featuring wooden ceilings, the unit boasts a shared lounge area with a fireplace and sofas.

Review 1：You couldn't leave a window open as flies would come in: but that is the same anywhere in that area in the warm weather.

Review 2：The owners and staff were fantastic: nothing was too much trouble. They even got up/stayed up at silly-o'clock to say goodbye to us, when we had to start home in the wee small hours! The place was spotless, the breakfasts very good, and the wine delicious! The place has been re-built in the 1990's but beautifully restored with carefully sourced furniture and decorations, which gives it an old world elegance : delightful.

Review 3：The bed was not as comfortable as it looked like, but the room was so beautifull that it did not matter..

Review 4：the old building is placed in vineyards. The decoration is very very nice, with very pleasant atmosphere. Not far away we found a very nice restaurant near the town-wall : Sete-to-Sete. We can recommand this restaurant...

Review 5：Good location to do Alvarinho Wine tasting in the area and go to the Palace of Brejoeira. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast with a great variety of breads.

Review 9：Wonderful place. Our hosts were very nice, the manor is amazing and very comfortable. Although quite close to the village, it is completely quiet.

Review 10：Only problem was with bathtub as there was no curtain or cover. At the end of every shower, the bathroom was all flooded.

Review 13：A marvelous quinta, in the middle of the vineyards. Excellent location, gorgeous grand hotel! The owner is a real host, his personnel very helpful and friendly. His Vinho Verde is excellent!

Review 14：No restaurant and bit far to others in town. No English spoken by any staff. Communicated in French with one staff member. Slightly left to one devices, but all these are minor gripes in a lovely place.

Review 15：A gorgeous place, surrounded by vineyards. Water fountain, gardens, beautiful. Rooms were very large, clean and classically appointed. The whole chateau is full of old world charm. Really is one of the most exceptional places we stayed in. Brought us a chilled bottle of their lovely vinho verde on arrival - on the house. Wonderful breakfast

Review 43：Friendly staff/owner. Breakfast with freshly made orange juice. Countryside landscape. Old charming villa/house, well kept, very clean, and with all the modern comforts. Large and comfortable rooms. This is probably one of the few hotels in which the facilities look better than in the photos.

Review 45：Hospitality of the owner. The environment. The beautiful quinta building and its vineyard. The owner and his wife were very nice to us. They offered us wine and ham. Their son, Adriano, who spoke good English, were also nice to us. He even drove us in his car to Valenca(some 20 km away) free to take the train. I highly recommed this estate to people who like to stay in a quiet and beautiful environment with good people. My thanks to the the Alfonso family who made our stay so enjoyable.
