Reviews for Manici Hotel Sanliurfa - Special Category
Review 1:Nothing. Everything was wonderful.
Review 2:We had a lovely stay at Manici Hotel. The location was fabulous - fish lake is just across the road. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Room was large and very comfortable with lovely views over the old city.
Review 3:Location & value for money.
Review 4:Staff are very very good....! Perfect location very very close to Rose Garden & Pools. Safe & amazing value for money.
Review 5:The best location in Sanliurfa. Also they serve alcohol, which is rare. Great service. Friendly staff who spoke good English. Room immaculately clean and well serviced. Enchanting view of the citadel and fish lake.
Review 6:Second floor will be more hot. To the taste of some the furnishing, especially the use of colours, may be a bit overdone. The loungemusic is at times somewhat bombastic.
Review 7:In low or bad season they may give the booking-booker an extra large, suite room. But alsof de standard rooms have a good quality. Lange bed. Pleasant bathroom. Coffee and tea facilities for free in the room.
Review 8:A/C is not powerful enough for the room, average breakfast, parking might be an issue if the hotel is busy.
Review 9:Stayed at the Deluxe Suit. Great location, amazing decor, attentive staff. The lake, shops, museum, etc. are within walking distance.
Review 10:The breakfast was okay, but some items were not as fresh.
Review 11:This is a stunningly beautiful hotel and makes you happy as soon as you set eyes on it. The staff are excellent, especially Sadik who was a gentleman and his English language skills enabled us to maximise our trip. The hotel had an offer on Booking.com for a free tour of Gobletek and Harran, which Sadik kindly arranged for me. He also arranged cheap transport to other places. The best thing about this hotel is its close proximity to the garden, holy fish and cave of Ibrahim AS. The hotel is well located to all of the local attractions.
Review 12:Boyle bir otelde internet daha iyi olmali. Odanin konumundan dolayi zayif sinyal vari ve kesintiler oldu. Odadaki televizyonda kanal cesitliligi (24 adet) az.
Review 13:Otelin yeri turistik amacli gelenler icin harika. Personel son derece ilgili ve guleryuzlu. Kahvalti imkani iyi, lobisi ve restauranti gayet guzel, odada konfor ust duzey.
Review 14:Not many staff speak English - meaning communication can sometimes be frustrating. Parking is difficult if the hotel is busy. Range of TV channels not particularly good.
Review 15:Fantastic location near the tourist sights of the city. Many beautiful rooms with great views.
Review 16:Wifi is very bad. I was kept a while until my room was ready. The room is hot because the AC was very bad.
Review 17:The hotel is close to Abraham Birthplace and Souq The front officer was a good gentleman; however, he was under pressure of requests and phone calls.
Review 18:- Concierge was not helpful - Room were very noisy - AC was not so good. - Elevator do not reach all floors - Dark and gloomy place
Review 19:- Location - Clean
Review 20:- Concierge was not helpful and damaged my car while parking. - Room were very noisy from outside, minibar and bathroom. - AC was not so good. - Elevator do not reach all floors - Dark and gloomy place
Review 21:- Location but only if you travel without car. - Clean
Review 22:breakfast need improvement
Review 23:location is pretty good, very nice decoration of the room and hotel, quite impressive, room itself is very clean and big, one of the hotel i love for my three week travelling in turkey
Review 24:A very hot room, the air conditioner took over 3 hours to cool the room down.
Review 25:The hotel is in a very convenient position, close to eating restaurants and shops.
Review 26:It was difficult to locate the hotel with my car. However, the hotel reception sent the valet for me as I was in fact very close to the hotel. The WIFI was very slow in the room, but okay in the breakfast room.
Review 27:Location. It was close to everything, and convenient for sight-seeing. The staff was very helpful. I would stay here again if I come back to Urfa.
Review 28:The furniture was a bit shabby. We expected a bit more, but in general the room was fine. The lock did not seem very secure, but the environment was very secure, so there seemed to be no problems.
Review 29:Location was the best. The staff was very helpful, although their English skills were rather weak.
Review 30:Breakfast was a bun fight with the tour groups and not really of the standard the hotel was apparently aiming at in general
Review 31:Location - just across from Abraham's cave etc
Review 32:Otelin temizligi, odalarin konumu oldukca kotu. En guzel oda denilen yerden kale manzarasini gormek icin boyun fitigi olduk. Biraz yurumeyi goze alip balikligol'e daha uzak yerler tercih edilebilir. Ayrica urfa'nin en pahali otellerinden birisi.
Review 33:Konumu, urfa'nin en iyilerinden.
Review 34:Rooms are bit outdated w/o perfect care to detailed cleaning Breakfast was disappointing due both assortment insuch an fine dining city and also quality
Review 35:Great location just in front of the Balikligöl park with direct access next to hotel Very helpful staff and (probably) owner
Review 36:The downside of the hotel's location is that being in the center it's also right in front of the big mosque. You can be be sure to be waken up in he middle of the night by the adhan (the call of the muezzin) because it's really loud. I'm from a muslim country and I'm supposed to be used to it, but never heard that it could be so loud. The shower wasn't great because the water was leaking out of the pipe so at the end there wasn't much water coming out from the shower head.
Review 37:The location is perfect, the price is very reasonable, breakfast is great, the stuff very kind and welcoming. Good value for the money.
Review 38:The breakfast could have been a bit more generous. Also, the room was a bit too warm to sleep in. There was a party on 3rd floor in the common room and it was very loud but they fortunately stopped around midnight.
Review 39:I liked the location of the hotel, also staff was very helpful. The decorations are also nice, very Ottoman style.
Review 40:Did not get a shampoo ready in the bathroom the second day. The cleaning person probably forgot. We solved it quickly. The washbasin drained slowly.
Review 41:The staff are very attentive, breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety compared to a couple of hotels we stayed in before, and the decor is a colorful replica of neoclassical Ottoman theme.
Review 42:The restaurant staff were difficult to communicate with due to language barrier. Wi-fi strength fluctuated.
Review 43:We stayed for 3 nights and were given a spacious suite overlooking Abraham's birth place and the citadel. The furnishings of the hotel make it atmospheric. The breakfast was plentiful and dining room elegant.
Review 44:Toilet was not fixed to the ground so kept wobbling all the time. Lighting in the hotel was not very good as it was dark all the time.
Review 45:Liked about everything, location is perfect opposite Halilur Rahman cave and mosque, next to main shopping centre and food places.Olden style decor very nice. Would highly recommend.
Review 46:1) Dishonesty of the staff, or lack of proper processes. I had to extend my stay for 2 more days because of illness. Hotel staff assured me that I would pay single rate, and no need to book online. I was too sick & wifi was too weak & so I believed him. He assured me that he has entered the reservation in his computer but refused to print out any document, just scribbled the amount on a piece on paper and wrote his name. When I checked out 2 days later, it was a different staff at the desk. And he billed me for double even though I was alone. He said that was what it says in his reservation in the computer. I found out later from a local guest that he paid much less than I did. He suggests that I should avoid using Internet bookings in Turkey & if you book through a friend in the same city, you get a good rate. 2) The furnishing is very crude and spartan. The rate is higher than a better hotel in Istanbul. 3) The hotel is next to a mosque so you can imagine the noise at prayer time. 4) The porter who showed me to my room was impatient & brusque. This is the first time after so many years of traveling in Turkey that I have come across such a rude hotel staff. I am a generous tipper and decided to skip the tip this time.
Review 47:Location - across the road from Balikli Gol and the bazaar. Unfortunately, it is next to a mosque which minaret & loudspeaker face my room.
Review 48:It was the most expensive hotel, by far, of my travels which were mostly in five star hotels, the corridors are rather dimly lit and the room itself was not only dimly lit but really quite 3* at the most.
Review 49:In 10 days of travelling in south east Turkey this was the whackiest and most unique hotel of my trip. Ideally located for the wonderful tourist sights. Quite the very best soft towels in the bathroom. Food was good but waiters, although charming and helpful, were rather chaotic.
Review 50:I had booked a room with terrace but the surprise was that Hotel Manici gave me an even nicer room for which I am very grateful. The stay at Hotel Manici with the superb view of my room made me having an unforgettable and splendid time in Urfa. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the decoration at the hotel amazing and the hotel staff very helpful. I would also like to thank to the staff I met during breakfast with whom I was able to talk a little bit about Urfa, i.e. how to get to Harran. I was really sad to leave Urfa, moreover Hotel Manici. I surely will visit Urfa again and I am really looking forward to stay again in Hotel Manici. And as mentioned at the reception during check-out, I hope, if the conditions are given, that I will be able to get again the room I had during my stay in Hotel Manici.
Review 51:Rooms could use a slight renovation but generally in pretty good shape.
Review 52:unbeatable location. The décor of the hotel is great- very Ottoman and interesting. Staff was very helpful.
Review 53:Limited TV channels both Turkish and English.
Review 54:Foyer area. We did not have breakfast but the meal we did have was fresh and cooked lovely. The twin room was big. Pleasant staff especially when we required a shop to purchase medication. I have to agree with a previous review conservative city but not this Hotel. Location
Review 55:Tricky to find, poor indications. The parking area is located in the courtyard accessible via a steep and narrow ramp clogged by badly parked vehicles. Funky riad style.
Review 56:The location could not be better, the beautiful gardens near the balikli gol are direcly accessible trough the hotel courtyard.
Review 57:We arrived at 8pm after 6 hours of driving and only after seeing two rooms and waiting for additional 30 minutes, we discovered that the "deluxe suite" we booked was not available. Only after tough discussion, manager offered discount at restaurant and "basic" room for free. Room was dirty
Review 58:Restaurant
Review 59:The staff were always helpful and very flexible - especially when we changed our plans. We stayed twice and the second time were given much nicer rooms which were more comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and they even prepared it half an hour early for us on a day when we had an early start.
Review 60:Finding the entrance to the car park was challenging!
Review 61:This cheerful hotel is in a great location in the older part of the city. The restaurant was very relaxing and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 62:Laundry service was not working on Sunday
Review 63:It was center of Urfa. Workers were SO friendly. And people said Urfa is a conserative place before my girlfriend and me arrived. They were right about Urfa but Manici Hotel was not. We traveled Urfa, Mardin, Adıyaman and Van. Manici Hotel was the best one all this cities' hotel..
Review 64:Air conditioning badly positioned in the rooms and poor in the common areas. Poor english spoken by very cooperative staff!
Review 65:Baroque and clean furniture in the best position in town. Friendly staff.
Review 66:The room does not have a clean aspect. The bed is not confortable. The lock mechanism of the doors is not satisfactory safe.
Review 67:Breakfast, location and staff are exceptional.
Review 68:I liked everything about my stay, I wish I could've stayed longer. The reception staff is very polite, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Great breakfast, you get so much more than you pay for. I highly recommend it.
Review 69:Even turn on all air conditioner, the room is still pretty hot.The hallway is too dark in night.
Review 70:The staffs are friendly and helpful.Providing free phone call in reception.
Review 71:The very helpful staff from the beginning. But on the morning we were to check out and begin a day tour, the tour guide did not show up. The desk clerk helped us to negotiate with a taxi driver to do a similar tour. I became very ill during the tour and chose to go back to the hotel at a little after noon. We didn't need to leave for the airport until 5 pm. The desk clerk offered us a room for that time at no charge. We were very grateful for this generous gesture.
Review 72:Even if the place is real nice, it's disappointing compared to the fancy pictures from the net, many things are over the top and overdone. EVERYTHING seems to be artfully painted which spoils the effect. Staff is indifferent
Review 73:Nicely restored, good restaurant and breakfast, very central location
Review 74:The internet connection only worked if you stood by the room door, and even then not very well. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. The bar-fridge was not refilled, neither shower soap, shampoo etc, of which we only got one of each between two of us. The hotel could not offer us any help with trips or tours, or even a 'what to see and do' brochure. The level of English spoken is very low indeed.
Review 75:The location is great you can walk to everywhere. The breakfast is also very good, a substantial buffet. The rooms are reasonably spacious and have air conditioning - an essential when we were there as it was 40c + The 'deal' price was very good indeed. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We were treated to a bowl of delicious fruit on our 3rd day - I have no idea why!
Review 76:Room TV's are irritatingly small, almost unwatchable. It would be nice if they overhauled this.
Review 77:Excellent staff, breakfast spread and wonderful location. The dinner options are all delicious. Check out the "soslu beyti kebab"!
Review 78:Room style, it felt like they put all the resources on decorating the common areas and run out of money or te to complete the rooms.
Review 79:Hotel Style, launge furnishing and decorations details, attention of staff, food, little courtyard breakfast and the view out of my room
Review 80:Bathroom no hotwater
Review 81:Good Location and good service.

Review 92:Nice hotel very close to the centre, room very nice with balcony
Review 93:the brekfast was bad and not good at all.The consept was so mass. The room is quite big so the air con wasnt enough for that room.

Review 95:The stuff are very unfreindly no body helped me with the luggage, never again to this hotel
