Needles Lodge sells fast on our site. Located in the province of Mpumalanga, Needles Lodge offers traditionally-styled, rooms with a patio. It features a poolside entertainment terrace and a country-style lounge area. Kruger National Park is within a 30-minute drive away.
The air-conditioned rooms have sliding doors that open onto the wooden patio. They are equipped with a sofa and a desk. Each room has a private bathroom with a large bath, shower and free toiletries.
Needles Lodge serves a full South African breakfast and a gourmet 3-course dinner daily. They can be enjoyed in the dining room or on the poolside terrace. An honour bar offers guests a selection of local wines, beers and other beverages.
Guests can sunbathe on the sun deck chairs or walk through the tropical garden. Indoors, the lounge area has a satellite TV, and a selection of books. The tour desk can organize activities such as day tours, game drives and hiking.
Lionspruit Game Reserve is a 3-minute drive away by car. Komatipoort Aerodrome is a 25-minute drive away. An airport shuttle service is available upon request and the Lodge offers free private parking on site.

Review 1：None, although the access road is not tarmac.

Review 2：Staff is extremely nice. The lodge is inside Marloth Park, which is a private reserve, so no car or other city noises, and you have all sorts of animals wondering around like warthog, wildebeest, Kudu, zebra, giraffe, and some come right at your door, which is a great experience. Dinner is great, all guests share the same table, so you get to interact a lot more with other people. We had a wonderful time.

Review 3：I really don't like the half door to the bathroom area. I guess I'm shy (for a guy), but I prefer privacy.

Review 4：Wonderful owners and staff. Extremely warm and friendly. Great food. Nice accommodations. Zebras, bush babies, and warthogs at the deck were fun to see.

Review 5：We were greeted the owners and staff and had some juice on that hot day. When going to our room we were greeted by a couple of wild Kudu .and warthogs The place is in a conservancy adjoining the Kruger National Park with wild animals walking the street.We had a good time..dinner was delicious. All in all a good place to stay before going to the Kruger Park. .

Review 8：The peacefulness of Needles Lodge location and the abudance of wild life, close up. Evening meals were excellent, with informative discussions being held with both Dennis & Gail. Both woderful hosts. We would definitely return for another visit.

Review 9：Gail, Dennis and Colin made us feel like friends invited for a few days instead of guests. They offered everything that luxury demands in a very relaxed manner. The meals were wonderful and we ate with the other guests and staff there, creating a friendly atmosphere filled with conversation and fun. The room was comfortable and quiet and right beside the bush area where we awoke in the morning to see wildebeest and zebra grazing over the fence. All the staff are obviously passionate about the wildlife and spend their days supporting the environment. I need to take the chance also to thank Dylan for his wonderful day tour of the Kruger National Park where he spent every minute teaching us about the birds and the game in the park as well as cooking us a delicious brunch. Truly a wonderful experience all round.

Review 10：We booked the lodge because of all good ratings. Unfortunately the lodge is to overpriced for what it is. We booked half pension, but you can´t even decide between 2 dishes during the dinner, so you eat it or leave it. Not everybody loves baked fish during safari. If you leave early for safari you receive a "lunch package" untoasted bread with cheese, a water and an apple. Second morning we canceled the lunch package right away. Wifi included is a good joke 50MB/per day!!! but the Owner Denis will tell you, for what you used your 50MB, if you like... ?!? We missed a bit of privacy at this lodge, we are on holidays and don´t wanna eat every night at 7:30 pm

Review 11：Location and design of the lodge looks like a safari lodge, not very modern but still good in shape. The crew was friendly, and the animals which the owner Denis feeds, come quite close to the lodge.

Review 12：Bathrooms don't close off completely - there is just a half door. Didn't bother us though.

Review 13：Our week at Needles was wonderful. We have never been looked after and eaten so well in all our travels. Denis and his team really put the customer first at every opportunity possible. We would highly recommend this lodge to friends and family looking to get away to the Kruger Park and would love to go back ourselves!

Review 17：We loved everything about Needles Lodge. Denis, Gail and Wesley were awesome. The chef is amazing and created delicious food every time, he even prepared different dishes for our 6 year old. We were lucky enough to be visited by the local Giraffes and Zebra and the resident bush babies. A beautiful place to stay.

Review 19：This Lodge does everything right. Wonderful meals, comfortable beds, great staff. Denis and Gail have created a friendly environment with pre dinner drinks, and lamp lit dinners enjoyed at large tables with other guests. We stayed four nights and had our 10 year old granddaughter with us and wished it could have been longer!

Review 21：Getting the animals like on touching distance from you, while you are eating is something out of this world. The pictures are really true. Zebra;s, Kudus, Wildebeasts, monkeys, bushbabies, there are all there. It's awesome. Further more we got a free walk, and South Africa and so also the lodge is like ridicously cheap for us. Enjoy!

Review 22：LEAVING...so much so that Denis, Gail and Wesley witnessed a rather embarrassed 44 year old woman crying as she got in the car!!!!

Review 23：The owners and Wesley the manager were amazing and so welcoming. The rooms were tastefully done and had everything you could possibly need. Being in such close proximity to zebra, wildebeest, warthogs and monkeys was the experience of lifetime. The game drive and Dylan our guide, were awesome. Food was great quality and evenings spent sitting in the boma round the fire were relaxing. Denis, Gail and Wesley were excellent company and you felt as if you were with old friends. Great conversations over a glass of port! Playing petanque (badly in my case) was great fun. A wonderful start to our 6 week Southern Africa trip. Thanks for the most amazing 3 days and putting up with my return to childhood being so excited about seeing the animals. We will return one day...perhaps when we retire to Marloth Park!!!

It was a great experience to have breakfast with the zebras and diner with the shy genet next to us! Denis and Gail are so friendly hosts! They helped us to organize an elephant back safari, it was so great! The Krüger National Park is just 30 min away and the full day tour was fantastic!
