Review 1：Wish I would have know in advance that most of the local resturants were closed during the winter. I would have planned dinner better. Don't think that was the hotel's fault tho-

Review 2：It was very windy on the beach, but our room had the perfect view for fireworks!!! Kids were cozy inside with a great show already in their pj's. Staff was great! Room was very nice. This might be the new tradition for new years eve! Also was within walking distance to most of the open restaurants.

Review 3：The location was great, such a nice view of the ocean. Our room was a good size, comfortable and quiet. Nice value. They are renovating and doing their best as you can't expect to have everything done at once like the big hotels chains do. Yes, our shower head said Westin and the shower curtain was from LaQuinta. Perhaps they purchased them from a surplus but were clean and in good condition. The location was the biggest plus!

Review 4：No gutters when pouring rain makes guests get wet as they load and unload their cars.

Review 8：The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, it's a great location close to lots of things to do. My daughter and I came to attend the cranberry festival, we stayed here last year also. We looked forward to the return stay.

Review 9：Only thing we didn't care about were the pillows. And actually we usually travel with our own so are used to a specific type. Not a dislike, they are just basic foam pillows, fine for most people.

Review 10：Excellent location in town and on the water. The manager/owner was very pleasant to deal with, had great communication with his guests and was very accommodating. We arrived two hours early and the room was ready for us on a holiday weekend. Local newspapers, including Sunday edition are a big plus.

Review 17：The motel was being remodeled,our room had an open wire brake the in the ceiling where a light was to be. So there was no light over the table. The stairway exit near our room was closed due to painting. The only parking was at back of the lot,as the painters had the rest of the lot closed. The crews appeared to be staying in the ground floor rooms, and some of their families were were discourteous. It was uncomfortable leaving and coming under leaving looks.

Review 18：Location narrow downtown, and the window view was nice.

Review 19：The property was under remodeling, and not quite put back together, loose fixtures. I booked online for two adults, and somehow that was misunderstood. When I checked in, we spoke about the occupancy. I was told the charges were based on four adults, and was never offered an adjusted price.

My daughter, her son who is 21 and uses an electric wheelchair, and I chose this motel because of its great access to the boardwalk and the perfect view from our room of the kite festival. Myron at the front desk was very helpful, friendly, and always answered our questions. His cheery attitude is a big plus for motel.

Review 28：Horrible experience. They were spray painting the doors and hallways from 8am till 7pm for 2 solid days. When I called the front desk about it, the owner told me he was checking me out, he didnt care if I couldnt find another hotel, I could go home, and then he hung up on me. Hallways and elevator are dumpy and unattractive. Breakfast is packaged pastries. You cannot see the ocean from the second floor rooms.

Review 33：The ocean view was great. Front desk people were great. I had booked two rooms and booking.com had booked two but then they cancelled one. Front desk was able to get my two rooms for the two days and gave me a break on the rate. Probably will not use booking.com to reserve rooms next time.

Review 35：This is a great location next to the arch, and only two blocks from the main business and attractions. The lower ratings I gave were due to remodeling that was ongoing during our stay.

Review 36：Wifi not working. Breakfast didn't start until 0700 and for a fishing town this is not acceptable. Most of the time we were out by 0430 fishing. They need to at least have something earlier. Staff would not even open the lobby door for us to properly check out at 0500.

Review 39：Oceanview that was blocked by plastic sheeting even when workers weren't working. My wife grabbed a towel from the hook in the bathroom assuming I has used it already, the only issue is that it wasn't me, it was the prior occupants towel that had not been removed. She still gets creeped out thinking about it. The room wasn't cleaned once while we were there and the beds were never made. We will never stay there again. This was my fault for using Booking.com but turns out I could have gotten a military discount but since the reservation was made online the hotel could not, or would not, change anything.

Review 41：There was dog hair all over the beds, old coffee on the pot, and they painted the outside while we were there! Besides being the dirtiest motel on the inside, we basically stayed in a construction zone'

Review 47：The 'breakfast' as you call it was terrible. Very few choices and packed with carbs, no healthy choices. The room was too crowded to eat or navigate in. It was frustrating and only 7 seats to sit for a whole hotel? Really? I couldn't eat any of the food so the draw for a 'free breakfast' was a disappointment. Need a snack vending machine on site. The beds were so hard I hurt for several days. My kids said they were too hard as well, so it wasn't just my older body. I had hoped to feel pampered as this was my/our only family vacation. Visually the hotel looks in ruin. I'm assuming it's being remodeled? That will be very nice.

Review 48：The location is great and you can walk everywhere, including the beach. We had a nice view of the ocean, enjoyed that a lot. Appreciated the frig, microwave. Enjoyed the TV and cable stations. WiFi was fine too. It was quite. Only heard a small child upstairs a couple of times and couldn't hear anyone on either side of us. Appreciated the peace and quiet.

Review 49：The hotel seems to currently be in the midst of a renovation so at the moment things are little messy and pulled apart around the hotel. Also, while the location is as close to the beach as you can get, that means you can hear people coming and going from the beach all night long. Not the hotels fault, but something to consider.

Review 50：Very nice staff. Continental breakfast includes make your own waffles! The rooms were clean and comfortable, though seemingly in transition of a renovation. (Nice floors, old furniture) VERY convenient to the beach. Right on the main road to the beach access under the arch and just two block from the main strip of shopping.

Review 84：The negatives, people were yelling outside of our room until 1230. Not fighting, just yelling across the parking lot. The beds were terrible and the smell of the room made us decide to not return. There were more negatives than positives about our stay here.

Review 85：The breakfast was good, they had a good variety of things to eat, if there was fruit it would have been the best. We had a decent view of the ocean and watched the sunrise and sunset from our room.

Review 86：The wifi was hard to connect to, but the manager said they plan on moving the routers to make it easier soon. The continental breakfast was very small, just two kinds of cereal, packaged danishes, waffles and apples/oranges. My bed wasn't particularly comfortable, just a regular spring mattress without much cush on top but they did say they were getting new furniture. I could hear heavy footsteps in the room over me for a brief period. These things would not prevent me from staying here again.

Review 87：When my booking said my room would not have an ocean view I was surprised at the very beautiful view I had of a field along the road that goes to the beach. All rooms face the ocean but on the first floor you can't really see it, but still a very pretty view! The man who was the manager (?) was very friendly and said they are working on lots of renovations- my room already had a facelift and was very pretty, but he said they are also getting all new furniture and granite on the bathroom counters. It was a great price.

Review 88：Staff was very friendly. They are in the process of renovating, so there was some half painted walls. Talking to the manager I got to know their plans and it will look much nicer then it is now. They have a small breakfast area but served, cereals, fresh waffles, fruits, juices and pastries. The room was big and the view a little far but very pleasant. I could see the ocean.

This place is not what the ratings would indicate. It is being renovated and that was the excuse for all things wrong with it. Don't buy the excuses. I have stayed a lot of places all over the world and this is in my bottom two.

We were ok with not being bothered but when someone did come in 1st time after 3 nights waste basket weren't emptied, had to do it ourselves, no clean towels either. After the 4th night towels were replaced. The breakfast was iffy. We went out mostly. The morning we left there wasn't even juice or coffee available.

Review 108：Location, location, location. Stayed 5 nights and were never bothered by noise. Liked having a micro, frige & coffee pot in the room. Bed and pillows were all comfy and the room was dark so no lights shining in around doors or windows to keep us awake.

Review 136：I didn't like the fact that they were under construction. The outside of the hotel was only wrapped in black tar paper and the carpet was filthy, and there was even sand in my bed. The lobby was real pretty, and they offered a free breakfast, but the food area was so small that only 2 people at a time could be getting breakfast, no room for any more than 2. Nothing special about breakfast, no fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, juice and they did have 1 waffle maker but again because it was so tiny, if you wanted a waffle you would have to wait . You would think since it was under construction that the price would be a little cheaper. It wasn't. You could get a nicer place for the same money. Recommend you do that.

Review 138：Female Hotel clerk 's appearance and manners not professional. Unclean appearance. Our room was dirty. We found clothes from previous guests in one of the drawers. Sheets seemed that were not changed. So I felt every thing was dirty. Poor breakfast. They need to improve big time. We will not come back to this hotel.
