Alfa Inn sells fast on our site. This hotel in Blankenberge, housed in an old monastery, has modern guest rooms and apartments in the center of town, just under a quarter of a mile from the sandy beach and the North Sea. It features a spa area and a tranquil terrace.
The family-run Alfa Inn includes accommodations with cable TV and a work desk. Each room also has a private bathroom with a shower.
Each morning, a continental-style breakfast is served with soft piano music in the bright breakfast room. Guests can choose from 3 types of eggs cooked to order and a buffet including croissants and fresh fruit salad.

Review 1：A pity wifi not installed in bedrooms but we gather it is about to be.

Review 2：Very good friendly service. Super breakfast and pleasant lounge. Excellent central location but very quiet position.

Review 3：The gentleman who checked us in. Said there would parking available next morning. Went to reception next morning, lady at desk said no more parking. And she literally gave parking details to a guest just checking-in, in front of me. Also there was wifi for a fee, asked her she said only free wifi downstairs in common room. While notice right in front her said 5euro if required.

Review 4：I had called earlier explaining delay on the ferry crossing to Dunkirk. So we arrive late past the checking -in time but someone was there attend to us. He was very helpful. Table was reserved for us at breakfast and very friendly and nice people serving.

Review 5：There is no wifi in the rooms at all. Some parts of the hotel need to be renewed. The room heater did not work.

Review 41：There were pool tables, etc. in the games room, but they cost money to use. I can't imagine they make that much off them, and it would be a real positive if they were free.

Review 42：We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that was spotless when we arrived, and quite comfortable. The staff here were excellent, particularly the very helpful lady at the front desk. My wife still raves about the buffet breakfast, which is one of the best I've had anywhere. Location is also good, within walking distance of the beach, and near plenty of shops.

Review 44：The location was excellent, within a couple of minutes walk of train and tram stations, in the middle of the main shopping area, and a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff were all marvellous. There was lots of choice for breakfast. The lounge is comfortable and the outside seating pleasant on a summers day.

Nice fireplace in the lounge to chill in the evening and the bar stays open until 2am. Great location, near train station which is 12 mins to Brugge. Hotel 5 mins walk to beach. We would recommend and be happy to stay again.

Review 73：Because it is a family owned business, we were able to speak with the owner and his family on several occasions (at check-in, for directions, at breakfast, etc.) Unlike many hotels we've stayed at around Europe, the family at Alfa Inn makes a concerted effort to cater to families. The trampoline, play area in the lobby and even kids placemats and dishes at breakfast are all part of the owner's effort to allow parents to relax and families to enjoy themselves in the hotel. The had even set up a bed for our daughter with her very own kid sized blanket/duvet. I cannot say enough about how welcoming, warm and kind the staff/owners were. The breakfast was substantial enough for all of us to get our fill each morning and served in a clean, modern and open room with a lovely view of the courtyard. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the middle of the main shopping area, walking distance to shops, restaurants and most importantly to us, the beach! Our one and only issue was a lack of air conditioning...not because the room was overheated, opening the windows allowed more than enough air flow and cool air in, but because there are no screens on the windows we all got bug bites...this will not deter us from staying there again though as the service, location and value for money are more than enough to make up for this one shortcoming!

Review 74：We both enjoyed the stay at the Alfa inn, bearing in mind that both my wife and I have not had a weekend break for nearly 6 years due to having children. We enjoyed the town and the sea front. The staff were very friendly and treated us very well indeed. We will return sometime later this year. For smokers like us being able to smoke with the consent of the owners means alot. Many thanks for a great weekend.

Review 80：The staff was extremely courteous, helpful, and friendly. They gave usan apartment with a kitchenette to use at no extra cost. The apartment,2f, was cheerful and nice. We found this hotel to be very child-friendly. There was a chocolate Easter egg hunt, a trampoline, a smallindoor play area for very young children, and even a toy corner in thebeautiful, elegant breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs,bacon, many cheeses, breads, ham, cereals, etc. The lobby is spacious,and drinks and light snacks can be ordered there until midnight. Thereis also a combination billiards room, tv room, lounge area, plus a spaarea (the spa costs extra). The location is central, near many veryuseful stores, including grocery shops and restaurants. It was an easywalk to the train station, the aquarium, and the beach.

Review 81：We stayed in one of the 6 person appartments, appeared to have beenrecently refitted. Rather a bright orange colour theme, but plenty spaceand kitchenette had plenty of crockery etc. Good shower. Breakfast wasincluded and was very good, lots of choice.

Review 82：The smell of sewage was quite prominant when I first arrived. There wasno welcome tray in the room and a port hole window graced the bathroomdoor which was a bit intrusive. Not impressed with having to pay 15Euroextra to park nor having to pay extra for wi fi. Overall the room wasvalue for money.
