Reviews for Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge

Review 1:A little pricey compared to similar places but it turned out to be well worth it.

Review 2:The location was perfect however the way we were greeted and treated from then on was fantastic. Beautiful views and a very comfy room as well as good meals made it a great stay.

Review 3:If I would criticize one thing it would be the insects which kept bothering us during dinner. I know it is Africa but still it would be much better to eat in a more comfortable environment after an exhausting day.

Review 4:The staff was very nice and always helped us with smile. The day trip to Kruger park was great and there was only us travelling with our ranger Lion that day~~ saw 3 of the big 5, juz missing leopard and buffalo. It was super hot but very memorable.

Review 5:Well positioned to see animals across the river beautiful view of sunsets friendly & helpful staff Very clean and comfortable room Felt extremely safe in lodge First time in Marloth will book to stay here again was wonderful

Review 6:Finding our way to the Lodge, not helped by the dirt roads.

Review 7:Primarily the attentiveness of the staff. We were extremely lucky to have Albert, the safari guide to ourselves for a wonderful day 'hunting' the top five. The breakfast and evening meal were equally of a high standard. Our accommodation whilst part of the main building had an authenticity and separateness of an African home.

Review 8:The staff wasn't very nice and the lodge needs a lot of basic mantaince. Also We spend a lot of time looking for the lodge because the given directions were wrong. I'm sure that must had been a great logde at the beggining. But right now its just a medium lodge.

Review 9:We loved the tradicional dinner, the food was nice and it was a great experience and the location is the best for kruger lovers.

Review 10:We are used to discount or no fee for child under two years, but the baby was charged full price

Review 11:Great staff, management, and guides. Price was great and food very good

Review 12:none I can think of.

Review 13:the staff where so friendly and warm and welcoming, facilities where great and it was just an awesome experience. view into the kruger was amazing saw lots and lots of animals from the viewing deck. was great experience.

Review 14:I didn't like the receptinist lady who welcomed us she looked tired and unwelcoming to us . She needs to understand that being in the reception means welcoming everyone the same regardless of colour or culture .

Review 15:The staff were great and the manager is outstanding....

Review 16:The juice at the breakfast was a bit strange but overall was a great experience

Review 17:Nice staff very friendly and the accomofation was just perfect for a night

Review 18:N/A

Review 19:Everything was fabulous: the room, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, amd the meals. In addition, the rides to Kruger were fascinating and very educational. My special thanks to France, the ranger who took us to Kruger.

Review 20:We had such a lovely stay, one of our party had a birthday when we were there and Lianey and her team organised flowers and a cake for us. The place is really well run, spotlessly clean, really tasteful and comfortably decorated. We had a wonderful dinner on the patio by the fire and every member of staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!

Review 21:Wifi is just from 8 to 8 and slowly.

Review 22:Outstanding lovely stuff and management. Lovely and experienced guides who make the game drives to an amazing experience (we saw The Big Five and more in one drive). The traditional barbecue was a great experience. Really nice lodge overlooking the crocodile river and sometimes elephants. Everything is clean and well maintenanced.

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:One of the best lodges we stayed in. Jacques very helpful and friendly as all the staff. Frans who took us for n day safari in the Kruger is very friendly and have a lot of knowledge of all the game. Will return!

Review 25:Having spent a month travelling in South Africa, this was the most expensive place we stayed in and the worse value for money. Food was varied in quality and dinner had to be at 7pm and from 2 choices if you had managed to book it the night before, or they gave you what they wanted. Charging for services not rendered and not even an "I'm sorry my mistake" just a glare that you had bothered to check the bill.

Review 26:The all day safari was amazing, with the 'Big 5' in a day.

Review 27:The oven could not be set to a specific temperature and the oven walls were broken so the oven tray kept falling down.

Review 28:Warthogs and buck coming up to our fence. Very comfy living areas and multiple outside entertaining areas.

Review 29:Shower bath is the room was a hazard. Stepping out of the shower or bath onto tiled steps is a bit risky. No TV. Although I am aware that one is in the bush and there is a TV in the general lounge, I feel that TV is the rooms should be considered. If people do not want to watch then they don't have to.

Review 30:Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Review 31:Unfortunately the fridge had a really foul smell (which was evident in the open lounge/kitchen/dining area) as soon as walked in the door. The fridge was cleaned on request, but still the smell existed. I almost wanted to leave, but didn't want to disappoint the children. We were given a free bottle of wine with dinner as compensation, which in hindsight, felt it wasn't enough (Manager didn't come to check the smell had gone). Dinner was nothing special. Not a great place for people with low mobility, as lots of odd steps everywhere. Not quite the views we hoped for (too far from visible water to see any real game). One of the bedrooms (in the 3 bed house) was not internally accessible.

Review 32:We stayed in the three bedroom house. The surrounding gardens were lovely. The staff were friendly. Bar area and restaurant area was nice. Comfortable home apart from smell (see dislikes).

Review 33:The wifi seemed to always disappear and I had to keep asking for reseting it. I had a slight emergency back home and needed to be contactable via email.

Review 34:I liked everything about my stay, the lodge, the staff, the surroundings, the food. I felt spoilt by the staff. They were ever so helpful and nice. Our stay couldn't have been better.

Review 35:Gravel road to entrance

Review 36:Friendly helpful employees. Rooms View on river and Kruger. Garden. Pool. Diner/Breakfast and location with view. Location near to main gate to Kruger.

Review 37:WiFi was sometimes not working

Review 38:Friendly helpful employees. Rooms View on river and Kruger. Garden. Diner/Breakfast and location with view. Location near to main gate to Kruger.

Review 39:The receptionist was totally unhelpful, unfriendly, unwelcoming.....

Review 40:A lovely little place on the river... We hired the 3 bed house which was awesome for our 3 kids to play and swim, wonderfully clean and organized.

Review 41:The bath was too small and not easy to get and out of, the pond in front of the lodge was not cleaned

Review 42:The staff were very friendly, nice home cooked meals

Review 43:There was no "meet and greet" on arrival. It was a matter of traipsing upstairs for form filling. There was no "simple" guide to Marloth features and values

Review 44:Rooms were good and well cared for by maids. Food was enjoyed. Drinks prices were sensible.

Review 45:Friendliness of staff, quality of room, food and General surroundings and service, possibilities of hotel organised safari trips would come again any time

Review 46:The friendly staff, the nice personal touches, the view on the crocodile river and beautiful and practical location (close to Kruger), great to go for a walk among many species of wild animals.

Review 47:The staff were amazing and the food was amazing and its very good value for money. Its a very small hotel. We used their staff to take us on game drives and organize other activities.

Review 48:Not much to complain about!

Review 49:A very nice nice lodge. Beautiful room. The dinner was served in a very nice atmosphere with the crew dancing and singing. Zebras and giraffes just outside the lodge.

Review 50:-rooms in the original building need refurbished. Pray to be placed in the new house -overall, the cleanliness wasn't up to standards. Cracks in walls need fixed and some paint wouldn't hurt. The carpet in the bedroom need changed too. -massive gaps between the window frame and the walls which allow for a every insect to get in -no mosquito nets -general atmosphere between management and staff

Review 51:Pleasantness of staff easiness to find the place views on the river dinner outside

Review 52:No complaints.

Review 53:The peace and tranquility. The place wasn't overcrowded, we just wanted to get away from the hustle of our busy lives. Love the decor! Good quality mattress! Excellent food! Jacques, the manager is very friendly.

Review 54:Wi-fi connection not available after 8 o'clock in the evening; staying only for one night.

Review 55:Great view; beautiful lodge; we had very good dinner and breakfast near the pool with a great view on the park; very comfortable room

Review 56:Absolutely nothing to dislike

Review 57:We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every second of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a view over the Crocodile river from our Balcony. The viewing veranda was a great place to sit with a drink and watch rhino walking down the river bed one evening. We also did 2 full day safari with the Lodge and they were awesome, we saw all of the big 5 (including the elusive leopard) and lots more besides, highly recommended. The Boma evening was lots of fun and Jacques and his staff are so attentive and caring that it was a great experience and one we hope to relive next year.

Review 58:There is not much not to like here!

Review 59:This is the best place to start your adventure in the Kruger! The place is amazing with even animals around, on the other side of the river we saw a Rhino in the morning! We arrived late, and the friendly staff (i forgot his name, think something wit a S) gave us some real good information for our days in the Kruger! We didn't have much time in the lodge but its amazingly beautiful!

Review 60:Room serviced early morning before we left for the day and my personal stuff moved around. Not comfortable about this. The shower/bath is awkward, one could fall very easily

Review 61:Great service Good food Very clean indeed We were accommodated on a Game Drive which was great and turned out to be a fab day Would I go back - absolutely!

Review 62:Our stay was too short

Review 63:Most friendly and helpful staff Activities are very value for money Great location where we were able to spot elephants drinking in the Crocodile River from our room balcony
