Review 1：It was not possible to use the WiFi connection from our room. Parking is advertised as paying but in December it was not necessary. The restaurant offers almost exclusively seafood, which does not allow a diversion to another choice.

Review 2：The location in front of the sea, not far away of the City centre or the beach. The restaurant and its seafood for those who love ! The reception staff speaks several languages including French.

Review 3：Noise from a close room due to refurbishing works, which had not been advised on arrival. As the hotel was not fully booked anymore, a quiet room might have been possible. Noise also from a close light house alarm which does not allow to leave the windows open at night.

Review 4：Hotel conveniently located close to beach promenade, bars and restaurants. Our room was huge and clean and with a great sea view from the balcony. The bathroom definitely needs refurbishing though. Wifi is not reliable, connection frequently interrupted even on the first floor. Reception staff did not leave the impression to be happy at work.

Review 5：Esposende is quite spread out so it was a walk into the town centre.

Review 6：The restaurant food was excellent we ate there 4 evenings out of the 7 nights. The chef's specials were changed daily and the service was great. I do not know why it was only 3 star.

Review 8：The hotel was very well apppointed, very pretty, clean, great beds and linens. The restuarant was excellent, we had a great meal. The staff was very helpful.

Review 9：The food in the restaurant what you got was not quite what you ordered. For example the menu stated Italian lasagne, but you ended up with a portugese Lasagna! Not nice. Also, be careful the bread and olives given when you arrive, they charge for it.

Review 11：Our only niggle was the wifi. It didn't work in our room and when you were in range, you had to log in every time.

Review 17：Super hotel on the seafront in Esposende. Our hotel had a balcony overlooking the sea. The leisure facilities are really good. The pool area was fantastic. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were very impressed with the quality and service.

Review 20：Lighthouse 1-2km away made noise every 20 seconds and it could be heard in the room, not just during the day; not the hotel's fault, but highly annoying. I only stayed one night so I don't know how often this happens. Also, the wifi signal does not extend to the rooms. Not very close to the beach and not much around except for a few restaurants. Music could be heard in the evenings until around midnight due to the hired music band.

Review 21：Swimming pool is nice. Staff is nice. Great music in the evenings. There is lots of space in the lounge area to sit and work. Atmosphere feels like there are many people around.

Review 24：The Suave Mar is well located for Porto Airport. We have stayed here before, on arrival and before flying home. A great jumping off point for exploring north Portugal. And the swimming pool is always a delight.

Review 28：Positioned opposite the inlet, lovely sunset/rise. Most comfortable bed and pillows. Huge room and great balcony for chilling outside. Multiple areas to sit around hotel and fantastic pool. Only stayed one night on way back to Porto, but would happily have stayed longer, hope to return in near future

While I was there, there were many events going on so it was nice to go for a walk and 5min away from the hotel there was a market with exquisite drinks and food. They also have a very nice indoor pool, and it's a very cozy hotel. I recommend it.

Review 80：I liked the entire ambience of the place, with the esplanada outside to look at the river and ocean, the garden like area inside, the combination of granite, wood, and glass, the old and the new. And the rooms were warm enough and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful, even to little details like getting extension cords to plug in the computer. Review 91：This is the fourth time we have stayed here, but it will be the last. Extremely noisy due to cleaning staff during the day and other guests at night. Overrun with young children, even using a scooter in the restaurant during dinner. The ambience of the hotel has totally changed and now resembles any package hotel instead of the individual, unique accommodation it used to provide.

Review 102：Stayed for 2 nights in this very nice hotel, lovely room with big bed, sofa & 2 arm chairs and a nice sea view. Pool was very nice for relaxing. Beech lovely. Restaurant food was superb, excellent value for money and the service from all the staff was excellent. Service from the staff at poolside and to room was very quick. Breakfast was buffett and very nice. All in all a good stop for our travel through Portugal.

Review 103：We liked the position close to the beach but near enough to the motorway to travel to the local tourist sites in Ponte di Lima, Braga, Guimares and Porto. The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.

The cleanlinessof the room was poor dust +++ under the bed, table on the balcony was filthy. There was a display in the bar area of wine glasses filled with red wine in very hot weather the wine was not changed so it started to evaporate grew mould on the surface and dead flies were on thetop I pointed this out to barman who looked very embarrassed and hurriedly removedthe display we did tell the reception staff on checkout!

Review 114：Staff were very polite. Rooms all looked out onto a central pool area.It was a close walk to downtown on a newly constructed boardwalk, thatjoins into an eco-trail area. You are close to the seaside, 5 minutewalk, but the biggest plus of the hotel is it's pool area with 2 pools,for adults and children. There is a nice games room for reading, cardgames and relaxing. A well-equipped exercise room is available onrequest and there is even a football area to play at the back. Therestaurant is reasonable but lacks a personality in the staff.
