Review 1：This is a lovely location for families. Right on the beach and with a good outdoor pool. The hotel even has it's own bowling alley and tennis courts which is good for older children. It's a popular location for portugese holiday makers so can be quite busy but we enjoyed not being surrounded by other English tourists. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. We were particularly impressed with the quality of breakfast and variety of what was on offer. The bedrooms were spacious if a little basic but perfectly adequate and well equipped.

Review 2：very noisy over two nights. awakened at 1.15 a.m. Phoned to reception , no response. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Basin in bathroom not holding water. Shower head twisted

Review 4：They really should do something about the wifi. Reception is poor and unreliable and then you have to go through an obsucre process to log in. Also it might be crowded at breafast with french baby boomers.... Busloads full of them.

Review 5：If you want to meet me, make sure you're at this hotel in April or May...cause I definitely will be back! It's a fantastic place if you want to have some peace and quiet r&r.

Review 6：Lobby although modern, does not reflect the rest of the hotel. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but didn't even stay a full night because AC did not work properly and beds were equal to a jail cell-really, really bad. Don't even get me started on the pillows :/ I don't know how they can call themselves a true 4 star...room comfort is more like a 1 star. Too bad because the staff is very friendly.

Review 18：The air conditioning was inadequate. Breakfast buffet was average, eg open preserve jars is not 4* quality. No attempt to prevent guests reserving sunbeds early morning and turning up after midday. Rooms should be cleaned earlier to enable guests to return in plenty of time to relax before preparing for dinner -5pm is much too late. The location provides limited alternative dining facilities without driving.

Review 19：The waiting and housekeeping staff were excellent and helpful. The pool was gorgeous. The a la carte dinner selections were very good.

Review 20：Everything. The staff is nice the room with ocean view are amazing and the breakfast in bed was delicious.I really liked the hotel and will return but now in summer to enjoy the pool and the beach. The city is cool and the restaurant di papi is delicious.

Review 21：The room was a little plain. I really like to have a cup of tea in the morning when I wake up, which is usually before the kitchen is open; and sometimes even at night, but don't want to go all the way down to the kitchen for one. In any hotel, I usually expect to have tea making facilities in the room.

Review 27：The hotel decoration looks strange: parts look modern in furniture anddesign and most of the rest looks pretty old fashioned with old stylefurniture.The carpets in the hallway and in the rooms look old (luckilythey did not smell of cigarettes in our rooms); the elevators needreplacing and the furniture and some curtains need changing. Thebathrooms looked more modern than the rest of the rooms.However, the 2 swimming pools, the tennis courts, the bar, and the bowling alley are in fair condition. There is also a gym but the machines are old. The buffet breakfast which was included in the price offered quite a variety of food: white and brown bread; sliced ham/cheese and fresh cheese; scrambled eggs, bacon; cereal. Coffee, milk, tea and cereal; yoghurt and muffins. Wi-fi is free and so is parking. However, parking on Sundays and holidays can be a problem.

Review 28：Location, location, location! It is located next to nice pine groves andboth our rooms overlooked the two swimming pools, the tennis courts andOfir Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Gorgeous views. And the waves at nightlulled us to sleep. Very relaxing.The buffet breakfast which was included in the price offered quite a variety of food : white and brown bread; sliced ham/cheese and fresh cheese; scrambled eggs, bacon; coffee, milk, tea; cereal and yoghurt were generic but were available. Wi-fi was free and so was parking. We played tennis for free and they lent us the rackets and the tennis balls as well. Near the hotel there were some small restaurants and cafés which offered snacks, drinks and simple meals for very reasonable prices.

Review 29：Pool. Hotel should have a strict policy concerning chairs "reservation". Seats were empty all the time but reserved by towels so we had to lay on the grass...

Review 31：The staff appeard stressed especially when one of the male managers was around, he would often make it obvious that he wasn't happy with something and the staff would run around trying to sort it out, especially in the restereunt. This meant that no one was relaxed. Other than the reception the hotel felt tired, the pool floor was lifting away from the bottom near the entrance. We asked for champagn and chocolates to be delivered to the room 4 days before arrival, they weren't in the room when we arrived we were told that it was because we arrived early, we then rearranged for 6pm 4 hours later but they didn't arrive. When we asked why we were told that the champagne wasn't cold enough. This was bad but the staff gave the impression all the way through that this was some how my problem. There was rarely enough staff to provide a pool service for drinks so it was nessersary to go back to the hotel to order them, on its own not a major problem just not great service. Also it makes no sense that the hotel is on a cliff and they don't have any tables or cafe on near so that residents can enjoy the sea while relaxing.

Review 36：We did eat in the restaurant on two occasions once taking the buffetmenu and the other Al 'a carte when we both ordered omelettes whichcould have been better. The buffet was good value but due to thelarge parties, it was rather hectic and food disappeared quickly,especially the sweets. The standard of food although adequate, wasnot as good as we've had in the last two hotels we have stayed inwhich was extremely good.

Review 37：We liked the spacious, comfortable rooms and our balcony and beautifulsea view. The staff were very good, particularly the bar staff and ourlovely little cleaning lady. We enjoyed the indoor bowling and tablefootball on a rainy day and took advantage of the "happy hour" for half-price drinks between 6 and 7 P.M. On our first night at dinner, wewere entertained by a Portuguese folk group of all ages who danced andsang very well then invited hotel guests to join in. We enjoyed thisvery much.

Review 38：The staff were rude, particularly reception.. We were able to obtain great rates on Hotel.com and this was not appreciated by the hotel staff. The staff at bars and restaurants outside the hotel were both friendly and helpful.
