Review 5：Several years ago I had a bad experience having to put up with unannounced non-emergency workers in my already less than desirable ground level room in Building 1. They moved my things and all the furniture in order to hang pictures. This recent lovely experience made me very glad that I gave Ocean Shores another chance.

Review 8：Location , office staff and owner are great. Wifi- is not inconsistent . However the housekeeper only organized one bed instead of two beds. In general, despite of those things, it's a nice place to stay.

Review 15：We were in the second building up from the bay. Had a really good viewbecause the property slopes up and we could see over the top of thebuilding below us. Being in the lowest building must have an amazingview of Kachemak Bay you could enjoy from sitting on the large balconieseach room offers. It's not a five star resort by any means (but whywould you come to Alaska for 5 star resorts. You can go to Hawaii forthat). It is definitely a nice quaint place to stay. I also like that ithas trails down the hill to the beach. We live in Eagle River and makemultiple trips to Homer each year, so next time we head down I willdefinitely try to book a room in the building closest to the beach. Itis a really good place to stay. One time in the past we stayed in thehotel at the "End of the land" on the spit, and Ocean Shoresis cheaper in price, way cleaner, and the beds are so much morecomfortable. It also has cleaner, larger windows to see the amazing viewof the bay and they have large balconies as opposed to the 3ft x 3ftbalconies of "the other place". The lady at the front desk wasso awesome and informative. This will be our regular stay place in Homerfrom now on.
Review 16：No AC, but the ocean air and breeze keeps you cool...just bring an eye mask if it's summer time since you won't have any darkness at night. Also, a wifi access code was provided but the service didn't work well.

Review 95：When we first pulled up we almost drove away. From the outside the motellooks like a barracks and the whole turnoff from the highway was underconstruction, but the inside was a very pleasant surprise.

Expected unobstructedview of the water, did not get it from the room we got (another group ofmotel units was between us and the bay). Micrometer setting in shower -slightest movement of the single lever valve went from too hot to toocold -- hard to adjust. I expected something like this to cost less than$100/night.

Review 101：The motel was outdated. The beds were uncomfortable old box spring and they had a bad odor. The TV was an old 17inch. This hotel was way over priced and over rated. I would never stay in this motel again.
