Review 2：Every detail of the hotel is very well thought of and executed. Staff is well trained, speaks fluent english and extremely friendly, the best thai food, the cottages are beautiful and spacious, the most beautiful beach near Khao Lak, empty beaches.
Review 3：Our family of 4 stayed for 9 days and we really enjoyed the peaceful beach and amazing sunsets. The resort is very small, which makes for an excellent atmosphere. The owners and the staff are really warm and welcoming. Bungalows are clean and the shade of trees makes it comfortable without airconditioning, so you can hear all the sounds of nature while sleeping (waves crashing, birds singing...) Excellent food and margaritas :)
Review 4：A great surprise to find paradise in a place so cheap! The staff were amazing and very accommodating. On our arrival we immediately extended our stay and I can't wait for our return
Review 5：Don't change your plans because the manager you will never see demands also the booking.com submission fee he has to cover in that case. So pay it or stay. No advice that a motorbike is necessary to survive without paying too much money for the meals you can order here.

Review 8：A Lovely beach setting and comfortable bungalows- perfect for relaxing - feels like a real tropical beach hideaway. The fans were very effective at keeping us comfortable even in the very hot weather. The attention to detail in the small resort makes it extra special: flowers, shells and all spotlessly clean. Delicious food and very friendly helpful staff.

Review 10：Be prepared and bring enough insect repellant with you. Especially during sunset, mosquitoes and sandflies come out. I seemed to have an allergic reaction to them. Nong, owner of Hapla, helped me by taking me to the medical station and did some translating accurately. This is an example of how ultimately hospitable the people of Hapla are. And in the end: you stay in a 100% nature environment, so this is part of the deal.
Review 11：Tranquility: we walked for 10 kilometres on the beach and only saw 2 people! Beautiful nature on the island, different from mainland. Atmosphere at the resort: absolutely relaxing, super friendly staff who make you feel 100% comfortable. This is how Thai beach life is supposed to be. We have visited many places in Thailand , but you don't find places this quiet easily these days. Good food, good quality of the room: basic, but all you need having the beach right at your door.

Review 14：I didn't not like anything but there are things that you should be aware of. There are only a few resorts nearby (which is a good thing!) and not really anywhere else other than Hapla for eating. This is not a problem at all as Hapla was the best place to eat on the beach and everyone who came said they wished they were staying at Hapla. The town is not really anything special and I wouldn't bother going as it is just some shops around a port. You have to access Ko koh Kaow by 5 minute long-tail boat. The only activities (as far as I could tell) were relaxing on the beach, hiring a motorbike and boat trips for snorkeling. If you want to go to Surin Islands you need to go to Khao Lak to get the boat or you can go to Koh Tachai from the pier on Koh Ko Kaow. Khao Lak is the hub of day trips and activities.
Review 15：The location of the hotel was very beautiful. The bungalows are not right on the beach but they are very very close to it. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day and the staff were very lovely and helpful. They even handed out Xmas hats on Xmas eve. The beach was quiet and really beautiful even at Christmas and lovely for taking strolls along. The place blended in with the nature and felt very clean and beach themed, not like a concrete high-end resort. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic, peaceful and relaxing holiday where you just want to read a book, take a stroll on the beach and watch the sunset.
Review 16：No wifi in the room but you dont really need it! A scooter is s good Idea since you are a bit from the resturant area, we livet the secluded feeling though.

Review 27：If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. A real back to nature feel about the whole place. Only six bungalows which keeps and intimate friendly feel. Completely relaxed atmosphere.
Review 28：We were bitten a lot by sandflies. Not just out on the beach but likely also in the bungalow. Get up early or other people will have taken the best pillows on the beach by putting their towel on them; only a few are really good and thick. Some noisy people around at the restaurant at night; hard to get away from their conversation.

Review 38：Holiday at Hapla Beach is like visiting Friends. Sy and Naan created a paradise place. You can have endless beach walks, silent moments, almost untouched nature but also learn about the Thai way way of life and have great food and party's. I met wonderful people there.

Review 42：The beautiful location, directly on the wonderful beach in the shade ofthe trees. Far from the world and people. Romantic. Very good massage.But only a beautiful beach, however, was not enough for a good rest. Welove nature but it was a challenge beyond our strength. We recommendrenting scooters before arrival. This can be done in the harbor ferryfor little money, because there are no shops and bars in the area. Donot forget about the measures against mosquitoes. Start treatment fromfirst day!
Review 43：The first impression when arriving with the taxi from the Ferry Pier was the piecefullness of the complex and its beauty. It is quite astonishing what has been created, with hammocks between palm trees, orchids growing on the trees and the 6 pretty little bungalows between patches of gras, 50 m from the ocean. The staff at Hapla Beach Cottage was extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. The little restaurant at the beach, nicely shaded from the sun, served fantastic food - with a great view of the ocean and sunset! We would recommend this little paradise to everyone who is looking for a few days of relaxation!
