Reviews for Vann Spa Hotell & Konferens
Review 1:The atmosphere in the hallways is like a hospital. Sterile rooms with not that comfortable beds and to small pillows. Overpriced in my opinion. Paid 1990 SEK/night. Bathroom from a gymnasium.
Review 2:Extensive breakfast. Nice view over the sea. Didn't visit the SPA but it looked nice.
Review 3:We were given a handicap friendly family room which was both basic and tired and not to a good enough standard for a 4 star hotel. No other family room available so ended up having to pay for an upgrade.
Review 4:The setting, the spa.
Review 5:Rooms a little dull and bleak. Not much view through the small windows. Shame as the views are stunning!
Review 6:The dinning room, terraces and spa are amazing. The staff are very kind and attentive. Overall a very relaxing place to go to unwind.
Review 7:Some frontdesk staff is not helpful. She busy with her phone so she didn't explain how to go to the room, just give us a key and say that just go straight, but it was not like that, we must look very long time to get to find my room.
Review 8:Having visited the hotel before in spring 2011, we were negatively suprised at the cost cutting measures were visible througout our stay. Lack of cleanliness of spa area was alarming. Some debries were lying in the corners of the swimming pool, steam bad was smelling really bad and there was snus and fliter of dirt sticking to the walls and corners of the smaller pools. Especially on the white walll of the heaven pool it was god visible. Sauna and steam bath were switched off one hour before closure and one sauna was completely off. One waffle steaking machine was not in the use.
Review 9:Having those facilities one need to invest in making the stay an positive experince to attract the customers. This means investing in activities, standard and service.
Review 10:Stinky interior (food smell). Very spartan rooms (like school acting as hostel). Dirty rooms: Carpets with huge spots, not cleaned daily. Dirty breakfast room (again floor). Very loud air-conditioning system. We were not able to switch it off or minimize the noise. Reception was informed several times about this. Sometimes they were able to switch it off sometimes not (?!). Heating panels not operating first night.
Review 11:Fitness area
Review 12:The rooms are spartan. Minimal decorating. Bathrooms like a school gym. Can't blow dry your hair in bathroom, have to use plug by a desk... With no mirror to use! Beds are ok. Also the whole place, grounds etc need tending. With some funds spent sprucing it up, it could be really fabulous
Review 13:Loved the dining area overlooking the water. Also the outdoor pool and indoor spa were very nice.
Review 14:Room was quite small.
Review 15:Perfect location, lot what to do
Review 16:The prices at the bar
Review 17:The spa
Review 18:Dining menu very limites Very young staff, polite and smiling but who would require mentoring for efficiency and organisation :-)
Review 19:The spa is fantastic Breakfast is also very good
Review 20:Finding the hotel was a bit tricky, since there aren't many signs and there's no address to be entered in a GPS. The effort for connecting to the internet is a joke, let me explain: 1. You go to the reception and get a temporary password and username for the Wifi. Technically there's no reason for having a password and a username or limiting it to to time window of eight hours. This is just annoying that you have to go there every day again to ask for the access data (which is already printed out). When you connect and open your browser: whatever tabs you had open: the DNS redirect kills the pages you had open and leads you to the login page for the internet access. There's a reason why I have my tabs open and it's not for a hotel to be able to overwrite that. This seems to be quite usual to most hotels and it's quite bad style as well. Just open the internet access and kick out the limiting. That would create much more comfort and made life easier for you as for your guests as well.
Review 21:The staff was there on spot and always helpfull. Booking and getting into the room wasn't without any problems. The service during eating was fast and there was enough foot and seating possibilities. Having a spontaneous massage wasn't a problem either. The room was clean and quiet. Good network coverage.
Review 22:Rooms are sub standard. The worst room I have been in in many years. As basic as a school dormitory. Unbelievable in 2013!! The layout of common seating area is appaling, there was music outside the dining room and 4 tables where people could sit and listen the music, but it meant they were looking in to the dining room.....hello....what are you thinking about. The seating area accross the way was all in darkness and away from the music (great music by the way)!! :) Lighting....you really need to do something about this, it is so bad. Could not read the menu, had to ask for the lights to be turned up....what is this about!! Stayed in room 201, 1 window with no curtains....Lighting from staircase shining directly in the window of the bedroom at night time....unbelievable!! What is it with you and lighting....a bedroom light up in the night which is not pleasant and common areas in darkness where you would almost need a white stick to assist with moving oneself around....I know I exeggarate slightly, but you do really need to look at the points raised in whay I see as a crazy set up. Unfortunately I became ill when I was there so I did not have the pleasure of using your spa facilities. You are welcome to invite me back and I will review this for you!!! :)
