Reviews for Casa da Eira

Review 1:Was difficult to find - address could be better described on website as many villages has the same street names! Clearly state Town/Village name: Clearly state Area/District name:

Review 2:The room was clean except for the shower, which needs a refreshment/refurbishment. The breakfast was very simple, there could be more variaty.

Review 3:The room had a nice terrace with a beautiful view. There is a praia fluvial (natural swimmingpool) on walking distance.

Review 4:nothing

Review 5:Such nice location, quiet and beautiful. Not so many tourists, very local orientated, charming. Extremely friendly hosts, warm welcome, and great authentic atmosphere.

Review 6:There was very little contact with the staff. Upon arrival they claimed they had no record of a booking even though I had the printout with details. We were able to spend two nights but second night cost ten Euros extra. Very poor breakfast - two white bread rolls was all that was fresh: nescafe, no meat, eggs or fresh fruit - cheese spread. Wi-Fi inconveniently only in a common room. There was virtually no hot water during our stay in spite of repeated promises to address the issue.

Review 7:Beautifully furnished and decorated. Very comfortable rooms. Only a few minutes walk to a lovely river beach with swimming area, café and picnic grounds.

Review 8:Awesome village, their homemade honey, great owners, the cleanliness and beauty and beautiful design. Beds very comfortable, quiet village.

Review 9:too close to road, very feeble convenience breakfast

Review 10:tastefully furnished

Review 11:a little difficult to find, due to the lack of info on sign posts...

Review 12:Charming place and near by a café on the the river beach. Wonderful.

Review 13:A little challenging to find as we headed in the wrong direction

Review 14:Quiet country accomadation with large lounge and kitchen facilities available.

Review 15:Our visit was very brief but the experience was excellent. We intend to go back as soon as possible. Hopefully for a litle longer next visit. Highly recommended.

Review 16:Certain bathroom fixtures could be replaced with advantage, but no danger involved!

Review 17:Very friendly hosts. Very communicative despite the few words we had in common. The house is very convenient for a lovely riverine beach and for exploring the Lousa hills and the very pretty countryside roundabout. The honey and pollen that the proprietors produce is exceptional - and has understandably won several prizes.

Review 18:Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We had access to a well-equipped kitchen and there were tables outside where we could eat. A five-minute walk brought us to a wonderful river beach with a very large swimming area and very clean water. A delight! Not far away were the stunning city of Coimbra and the fascinating schist villages up in the mountains. Our hosts were very helpful with planning our days. And finally, we must add that our hosts produce the most delicious (dark) honey we have ever eaten! We recommend Casa da Eira whole-heartedly.

Review 19:The couple that ran it were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We loved having the use of a kitchen and the woodburner was lit for us every evening. The views across the valley are beautiful.

Review 20:Everything was nice. Just the breakfast could be more better.

Review 21:Quaint village
