Reviews for Homer Alaska Vacation Rental

Review 1:The Glacier View Cabin was wonderful. It was beautifully decorated and clean. The views from the cabin were breathtaking and it was only a few minutes from the restaurants, shops, and the Homer Spit. Brian and Karen were gracious hosts and accommodated our late arrival and even our late checkout. We will definitely stay here again!

Review 2:We liked the view, the location and the entire area. The cabin we had wasn't the original one we booked but the owner generously let us switch to a bigger one with handicap access since my son was on crutches. The place was wonderful, especially for large groups. It was the Bear View cabin. Probably sleeps 20 if necessary

Review 3:The bathroom is a bit small.

Review 4:The owners are very nice! The cabin is located on a hill with great view of the ocean. The property is beautiful and private! The room is nicely furnished with a well stocked kitchen! There is even a luandry room!

Review 5:To be honest, we felt the price was a bit high. But we were there at the peak of summer so it was in keeping with other properties in the area.

Review 6:Our family of four stayed in the Dovetail cabin and wished for more days. A separate sleeping area for the kids. Incredible view of the bay. We cooked the halibut we caught on the deck grill. The kitchen is bright and fully stocked. The proprietors helped greatly with everything from finding boat charters to go on with our 12 year old son, to places to shop with our 16 year old daughter. Book early.

Review 7:Moisture caused major mildew/mold odors which was "masked" by oil based fragrance sticks. Unfortunately the lowest level was so bad it was hard to sleep in midst of the odors. Fortunately none of us had asthma or other serious breathing difficulties. The kitchen table set up was limited to 2 people making it hard for the 5 person group to eat together.

Review 8:The location was fantastic and the property (Double Eagle) was fun, quirky. Staff was nice and tried to orient to the opportunities and issues current in the boat. The Homer area has many great assets like trails, wildlife, museum, sight seeing, etc. It as much more interesting visit than I expected.

Review 9:Gorgeous views from all the rooms, wonderful deck, decor well done, unique place, our favorite place to stay on our two week trip exploring Alaska.

Review 10:Highly recommend!

Review 11:Beautiful two story cabin overlooking the water with glacier view!

Review 12:The 'steps' to the upstairs bedroom were more like a ladder and not appropriate for my aging parents.

Review 13:Great cabin. Spectacular views.

Review 14:Liked everything

Review 15:Personalized service by owners

Review 16:parking is a little weird as there were two cars using the same area for parking. It would be good to level the area next to the apartment and blacktop it for a permanent parking place.

Review 17:It was a cozy, conveniently-located apartment that was economically priced. It had a full kitchen and even a stacked washer and dryer. Very comfortable place to stay.

Review 18:Had to drive several miles through road construction to get to townand the spit

Review 19:Great views of water and mountains, very comfortable, washer and dryer, fully furnished kitchen, halibut fishing was good, owner very friendly

Review 20:Lovely location. Enjoyed the spit, out to Gull Island, wandering the shops, dinners, bird walks, nature center.

Review 21:Loved it.

Review 22:Small bath. Workable, but very small.

Review 23:Absolutely beautiful scenery. The best location I have ever seen.
