Reviews for Indigo Pearl
Review 1:To much mosquitos No sea view from the rooms Lack of knowladge within the concierge regarding local activities
Review 2:Great food both the breakfast and restaurant Black Ginger Nice and relaxing "Adult only" pool Very close to the AirPort
Review 3:Bed was too soft.
Review 4:Nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Excellent breakfast; location right on the beach, snorkelling was quite good off the beach, Sea Bees snorkelling trip was excellent (swam with a Turtle and saw Moray eel, Octopus and schools of squid). The hotel pool areas and gardens are fantastic.
Review 5:The resort was a little hard to find your way around to start with. Some better signage is needed.
Review 6:Lovely pools, friendly staff. Great location near the airport, out of the busy areas of Phuket. Massages at the Cocoon Spa were incredible.
Review 7:it is a great resort but i cant say is a great hotel, the deco is too extreme into its own style which obviously brings inconvenience as a living space, esp their service is really not a top hotel standard. housekeeping staff is slow prbly due to the size of the resort but the reception staff is really NOT nice at all, they are unreasonable strict on some policies with unfriendly attitude, which is not a good way to approach guests on a holiday mood. the location is up to personal preference since it is very close to airport at a quiet beach but nothing around. if you wish to go out frequent with nightlife or so, you would need to consider as phuket is very large and it takes 1 hr to go to the nightlife and shopping centers in Pa tong
Review 8:it is perfect as a design hotel/resort, very special deco of the whole resort into details, great for art enthusiastic, i took lots of pics everywhere in the resort. Naiyang beach is great, peaceful with much less crowd, pools in resort are fantastic and i have to mention the sea bee diving center in the resort. they have great service with great coach and good value of money.
Review 9:We booked quite late so the cost for us was very expensive. We would definitely book there again but not at the last minute.
Review 10:The amazing decor and everything has been really well thought through
Review 11:We have to change the room on last day for a late check out. The Rivet is not as good as we expected, we choose the set Dinner. Start is ok, but main are not nice( beef & fish)
Review 12:Size of the hotel, Black jinger. Pool
Review 13:It's getting a bit tired and will soon need a refresh, but not at all tatty.
Review 14:Superb service and staff, good facilities, spotlessly clean, excellent food.
Review 15:My only negative comment would be that the resort could be difficult to find your way around. And people who don't want a long walk between their room and breakfast or other facilities my not like the size of the resort.
Review 16:Beautiful resort with everything you could ask for. In a quiet location with a small well equipped village out the back door. Beautiful grounds. Very comfortable beds. Loved the adults only pools. Beautifully decorated rooms.
Review 17:Food / drink a little expensive in hotel.
Review 18:Good location - right on nice beach with plenty of local restaurants and bars to try a little further down. Great staff and very pleasant surroundings.
Review 19:Last night of our holiday perfect as so close to airport - didn't even leave hotel everything was lovely. Swim up bar for cocktails was gorgeous and room with outdoor bath was amazing!
Review 20:The hotel design was beautiful however my stay was let down by the fact the gardens were poorly maintained to the point the place looked shabby. Also the beach side of the hotel has had all bars and shops removed leaving a large scruffy patch of mud. For the price the hotel should be perfect but really lacked the final polish for me which was a real shame
Review 21:Hotel design features. Room and bath in balcony lovely
Review 22:Bars are not very animated. There is not a nice outside bar.
Review 23:The location, near the airport. The design. The rooms. The comfort and quality of the service. Naiyang beach.
Review 24:Indigo Pearl is a stunning luxury hotel in a great location. The rooms and facilities are spectacular and I couldn't rate it highly enough. I will definitely be returning!
Review 25:Staff were really friendly, we had champagne and two chocolate heart cakes as it was our honeymoon. Two of the pools were adult only one with a swim up bar and the other didn't have a bar but someone came around quite frequently with water and if you wanted a different drink or food you could order with them. They had a good range of choice for breakfast too. We went from this to a lesser hotel so we went back for the end of out trip we liked it do much
Review 26:Nothing I didn't like but a friend and I were travelling together and requested twin share. We had pearl bed suite. There isn't really option for twin share. We had 2 mattresses on one base. Still very comfortable and an amazing room but close proximity of beds may not suit everyone.
Review 27:Amazing rooms with a very unique decor. Everything you could ask for at this resort. I thought the adult only pool option was great for people travelling without children.
Review 28:Nothing bad, but the breakfast is huge but over rated in quality, although there is plenty of fresh fruit, fresh juices, and lovely pastry. But the cooked eggs, sausage, etc. are like most other hotels. The hotel is not intimate; It is huge but expertly run. For the high prices, they would not allow us a one-hour late departure.
Review 29:Gardens were stupendous. Staff, for the most part, was hospitable and smiling. Choice of swimming pools was good, although the staff allowed a small child in the adult only pools.
Review 30:Everything more than perfect! Have nothing wrong to say about this place! When coming from the airport don't get fool and pay only 200bth to the hotel!!!
Review 31:Fantastic place with lovely staff! We reserved for one night and in the end stayed for a couple more because of the fantastic experience! If you look for a quite and luxurious place to stay in Phuket island this is IT! With enought local thai cuisine restaurantes on the area with some lovely personel! We didn't try the hotel's restaurantes but the 24hr room dining service was more than excelente! Everything perfect!
Review 32:Beautiful hotel and superb gardens and amenities. Staff are always smiling, friendly and helpful. Internal bar prices are excessive but hotel is very classy and well worth the extra. Full breakfast was fabulous and service at tables was attentive.
Review 33:The only thing we didn't like is we didn't have enough time there!
Review 34:There are no words that aptly describe this place or our time there. It's breathtaking and magical in every way.
Review 35:My partner and I came to visit indigo pearl to arrange our wedding for next year we are able to see all of the rooms including the villas. The least I could say is WOW this resort is on its own level absolutely incredible. The service and friendliness shown to us was like no other. Was an absolute haven with greenery and stunning gardens surrounding you everywhere made it so relaxing. I could not recommend this place enough and we cannot wait to have our wedding here next year ! The resort is so big you discover something new everyday and it is backed into a beautiful beach which in summer I'm sure will be even more beautiful with a beach club. So many different things we loved about this place!
Review 36:Nothing at all.
Review 37:Absolutely amazing hotel, could not fault it if I tried, it was my partners birthday and the staff brought out a cake which was a great gesture, the black ginger restaurant was amazing and the food was also delicious and at a reasonable price. The grounds are gorgeous and the tin theme is excellent, there is plenty to do within the hotel grounds but the beach and nail yang area is very close should you wish to leave the resort. We also went to the spa which was also fantastic. An absolute gem of a resort, highly recommend.
Review 38:With something you like, you care more when you see opportunity missed. I would say since our last stay (approx 4 years ago) food and beverage offer not up to the same standard and def out of sync with unique and bespoke vision of indigo pearl. With such unique outlets, we were surprised to see common menus with limited Thai food on offer and very standard cocktail offerings, generally the same as what you'd find in any other resort. Also found variations to outlet opening annoying as not communicated at all, leaving us eating in the same venue three meals in a row. Service and F&B offer generally needs to build on how used to be to continue to do this amazing property justice
Review 39:A favorite that is truly unique: Amazing pools, industrial inspired design, impressive grounds, large, comfortable room... We were really excited to be returning
Review 40:Dark. Local beach in poor condition with lots of stray dogs. activities are expensive - Especially tennis. Poor selection of Thai food at breakfast. Hotel grounds not well maintained. Limited menu in tin mine restaurant and Thai restaurant closed. Poor check in experience.
Review 41:Unique design. Tropical location. Close to the beach. Close to airport.
Review 42:Did not want to leave. Might have to exterminate the mosquitos in the gardens soon; but then again, that's not a local problem.
Review 43:Everything, especially the proximity to the airport, the staff, the restaurant ambiance, the cuisine, the rustic theme, the reduced off-season rate, the outdoor tub, the gardens, the beach and surrounding relaxed bars, the selection of pools (but mainly the adult-only version), and the fact that you are a world away from Patong.
Review 44:Mosquitoes are an issue they have spray (found it among bathroom amenities which are excellent). They put out a coil at turn down for the patio area. You can buy Off at store near beach gate.
Review 45:Stayed in pool pavilion which was worth the price. Private patio with loungers, day bed, table and chairs. Very private patio area. Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was very spacious. Turn down service a plus and quick room service. While it's a big property distances didn't seem that far. The main pool was gorgeous with cascades and alcoves and shaded area. The AO pool was also enormous and had a swim up bar. Drinks are fairly priced for a 5* resort but kind of light on the pour.
Review 46:You wouldn't call this place affordable or cheap. One massage cost $80, the same price as a massage in a first world country. I must say, you cannot compare the quality of their massage to the ones that you get outside for $15, their masseuses are very good and professional, but the price is just too much! It was quite far from the city, 45 minutes by car to Patong and a taxi was the only way. One way cost $25, which again was quite expensive for a third world country!
Review 47:This is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed at from around the world. We stayed for ten days, we just loved the overall feel/look of the place, everything was well-designed from the gardens, to the rooms, to the pools and to the different restaurants. Everything was just beautiful! There are so much activities to do it was hard to get bored! The staff was also very friendly and very polite. In room dining food and the restaurants were great too. The free breakfast was delicious. The Nai Yang beach is very peaceful and quiet, very far from all the partying and noise.
Review 48:The only bad thing is; as the hotel is located in a natural park; the environment is very rich in terms of insects, birds, lizards etc. And the precautions to prevent these small animals to enter your room is not enough. You don't need to love all kinds of animals, but if you have a fear of insects etc this hotel is not the right place. Other than this, nothing negative to say
Review 49:A very original design hotel with lots of other great things. Hotel's architecture is spectacular. Pool bar, restaurants, pools, rooms, pub, garden etc... Thai food and experience in Black Ginger restaurant is invaluable. Probably the most original design hotel we have ever been to. Our room was located in upper floor as requested, and we had a complimentary champagne and fruit in our room when we checked in. To summarize in one word; fabulous...
Review 50:Everything was great
Review 51:The attention to deetail, how helpful and nice all the staff was. Nai Yang is a great beach, so quiet and it is surrounded by local restaurants. Everybody at Indigo Pearl is keen to make your stay as pleasant as possible and take care of everything for the guests. The resort is beautiful, feels like a quiet and relaxing garden.
Review 52:The conditioner provided was not good. U need a new one.
Review 53:As a resident of Singapore, I find this hotel the perfect weekend getaway. Right next to the airport, faraway from Patong, close to fun beach clubs, beautiful beach of its own, good bunch of Thai restaurants & massage spots right outside..it's got everything!!
Review 54:Room Rates are for April in Phuket too high! "Crazy" to ask for wearing shoos and no slippers in a Restaurant of a Beach Holiday Hotel! From technical side are reovations in the rooms necessary! Large Breakfast Buffet looks very impressive. But qulaity of coffee and some breds (for instance croisants) is not 5star level!
Review 55:Good atmosphere
Review 56:Getting used to the layout of the hotel grounds was a little difficult.
Review 57:Staff was very friendly. Adult pools were fantastic and quite. Breakfast was amazing and not too many people fighting over it. Small shops and restaurants outside of the back gate were very good and easy to get to.
Review 58:The whole place is huge and consists of blocks of buildings laid out around a series of ponds and swimming pools. The rooms are of modern modular type construction. It took a brisk 5 minute walk to reach reception and the restaurants. When we arrived at our chosen restaurant it was closed due to a wedding taking place. We then ate in the "Tin Mine" restaurant which is a tad soulless. I found the "Industrial Theme" of the place different, a little harsh and not really to our taste. But I suspect there will be many that like it. It's certainly quirky and well done, but I could have been anywhere in the world as there is no Thai theme to the hotel whatsoever. It has been said in previous reviews, but this place is Mosquitos R us! We were bitten at the restaurant and also on the way there and back. They are very numerous and ferocious! I could not imagine staying here for a substantial amount of any holiday to Thailand. It is just to stark and themed. I also consider that it was very pricey for the standard of accommodation. Our previous hotel was more expensive, but was in a totally different league in terms of room, food and outlook.
Review 59:This is a well run hotel that suited our needs for one evening as we had to leave an Island and needed to catch an early flight. The room was comfortable, and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 60:The beach was tame without the waves you might expected from a beach. The beach was also on trashy side with litter and empty cans/bottles.
Review 61:The grounds were beautiful and the staff was amazing. The room was spacious and luxurious. Loved all the complementary fruit and water.
Review 62:You need to leave the cleaning lady a bit tips for geeting a perfect staying.
Review 63:This may not the most famouse place, but comes with peace and security. The Thai cooking class they offerd in the hotel is a fun experience. The Dive center they got is perfect.
Review 64:- The staff only knows "basic" english, with typical studied sentences. - Spa is expensive
Review 65:- Almost everything was perfect. - The details at the entire hotel are really nice.
Review 66:Leaving!!!
Review 67:Pools, fitness centre, breakfast, staff, room, grounds were all superb! A very relaxing place to stay with great restaurants on site or just outside the gate!! Will return again one day
Review 68:Nothing. Seriously.
Review 69:Everything. From beginning to end of our unfortunately very short stay, we loved every minute. Free upgraded room, and what a room! Thai chic meets steampunk. Pools everywhere. Our last night in Thailand ended perfectly with drinks and live music at treetop level. Early trip to the airport, so we got a breakfast box stuffed with goodies. Just brilliant.
Review 70:It is a bit pricey but it also keeps it more selective.
Review 71:Food was great. (especially room service dinners) No big waiting for breakfast. Proximity to the beach. Jungle & beach combination. Good size of the balcony and general space (high ceilings) was great. Decor super. Pool & gym great.
Review 72:When we initially booked there was a beach club, also one of the reasons why we chose this resort. Upon check-in we were told that the beach club was closed. Recent new rules demand that the beach is returned to it's original, natural state so no sun beds are allowed on the beach. You could however take your towel to the beach. The several pools and the hotel grounds more than made up for this but it would have been nice to have received a message prior to arrival.
Review 73:Such an amazing place. So much attention was spent on every detail throughout the entire resort. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The extensive breakfast buffet was really nice with lots of fresh fruit and decent coffee. The children's pool was big and shallow with some shaded areas.
Review 74:- A couple of months ago the goverment proclamied all beaches in thailand to public propertry, so there is no more hotel service there: no loungers, no restaurant etc.- loud children next to our room - there was a little misunderstanding concerning our invoice at the end, not really their fault, but the way that misunderstanding was handled was not really on a 5-star standart. also I hope that is not the reason why they didnt send our postcards which we dropped at the reception and never arrived ;( still a MAGNIFICENT hotel I recommend to everyone
Review 75:-Lovely place -warm staff -excellent restaurants -movie-likepresentation of hotel, rooms and restaurant -unbeatable cost-benefitratio -one of the nicest placest I have ever stayed at
Review 76:Location - miles away from all the best beaches and sights. And taxis in Phuket are expensive so this is important. Beach near the hotel is horrific - dirty, full of stray dogs
Review 77:Ashton and Katie were very helpful at the front desk
Review 78:We were travelling with our 3 year old and upon arrival the hotel gave us a free upgrade to a D-Buk suite, fantastic! The resort was beautiful and so where the pools, with the adult only pools being a good idea, the family pool was very large and stunning. Food was excellent if a little expensive. I think what really made the hotel was the service, it was 100% with genuine smiles all the way.
Review 79:Everything. The Black Ginger restaurant was a perfect experience to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Upon learning it was our anniversary they made our room up with flower petals and welcome drink. The staff service was second to none and the ambience of the whole resort was special. We will definitely return
Review 80:The location could be better - or should i day the surrounding areas. It felt a little seedy outside the resort towards the beach meaning we didn't spend any time at all on the beach, neither it seemed did anyone else, which is a shame. Inside the resort is spotless but we missed the beach aspect during our stay.
Review 81:Black Ginger restaurant is a major highlight!! The spa is excellent. Food is quite expensive but of a very high standard, the Tapas bar is worth a special note with amazing sushi among other dishes. The service is always first class everywhere within the resort. The gardens are beautiful and quite wild.
Review 82:Their top and/senior management when handling a guest injury happened right at their resort rates at about 1-star standard. Far from town/hospital. Mosquitoes.Food standards not on par with prices at Tin Mine. Beach area not lively.
Review 83:Rooms size value for money. Short distance to airport. Some junior staff are pleasant. Communication not much of a problem most times.
Review 84:that it was only 4 days, I would have stayed there for 2 weeks if I could, but we had to go back to reality of work
Review 85:I think this resort has a real knowledge of comfort, customer service and natural beauty, we had a wonderful 4 days and will return for sure. To all the staff, our compliments, you all can be proud of yourselves!
Review 86:Nothing at all
Review 87:We read the reviews. We were already expecting this hotel to be great. But it somehow still managed to exceed all expectations. We were collected from the airport and offered water, cool towels, fresh juice at check-in and a very warm welcome. Even though we had the hotels most basic room, it was still incredible and had a massive bathroom and dressing room, huge bed, walk-in wardrobe and two balconies! All amenities were included, reasonably priced mini-bar and great view. The hotel is very secure, environmentally friendly and raises money for a children's home on the island. Every single member of staff was polite and friendly, regardless of position. The food in the restaurants and room service were excellent. And just outside the restaurant there is a gorgeous beach with some good Thai restaurants and bars. But the real reason we were there was to get married. My partner and I had decided we just wanted a simple ceremony for just the two of us to mark our marriage, which we would then make legal back in England. I was so nervous about the whole thing before I arrived but Chonlathep and Budsaba came to see us at check-in and planned a rehearsal for later that day. At the rehearsal we got to see the beach where we would get married, go through the schedule for the day and finalise decorations and vows etc. I asked for extras like flowers for my hair, nothing was too much trouble. It started to seem like all the staff knew about the wedding and we're offering 'good luck' and 'congratulations' comments while we were around the hotel grounds. Felt like VIP's indeed! On the day of the ceremony it rained. I was so disappointed, thinking we wouldn't get our beach wedding. But sure enough they came to our room and reassured us he had checked the weather forecast and the rain would stop soon. And it did.
Review 88:Toilet door was our only disappointment - the way it was designed !!
Review 89:Indigo Pearl was unique in every way. The choice of pools, layout of the room, staff assistance and breakfast spread to mention a few. The location was away from the usual tourist traps etc and beach associated attractions which was good for us but might not be your cup of tea. Perfect for a weeks quiet relaxing break.
Review 90:The watercooker was little bit dirty, also the room have all kind of supplies but no toothbrush, they do have this available but need to ask for. breakfast first day was really good but second day bit dissapointed in the bread, i was there 8 o'clock so the bread should be fresh but didnt was so crusty as the first day. The location is very close to the airport but not much to do, kind of far from Phuket Town (700 baht by taxi and 1hour drive) also the beach have no lying chairs anymore after the clean-up as the staff told me, and it is kind of dirty on land.
Review 91:Absolutely wonderfull, staff is very friendly! Ann was already at the gate for pick-up and the van had fresh water and cold refreshing towels. i arrived in the early morning 7am and requested an early check-in. so i expected to enter my room maybe 1 or 2 hours earlier than normal check in time, but no! my room was already ready at 7am in the morning! by arriving i could have a rest at the lounge sofa while Ann was checking me in. no waiting at the counter, but relaxing with a free drink. thats how your holiday should start. After check-in she guide me to my room with a caddy. She friendly explained everything in my room and the resort map, where to find everything. my bed was extremely soft and big. i had a view on the infinity pool and even had six(!) bottles of free water. while lounging at the pool the staff will bring you a glass of water and cold towels with champaka smell. also my room smelled so well that i bought the Champaka oil when check-out so i can enjoy this at home and bring back all the memories from my stay at Indigo Pearl. Breakfast was absolutely good with a lot of choice, fresh bread and different fresh pressed juices! the badroom will bring you all supplies although i had to ask for a toothbrush. In-room dining is very quick and good!!
Review 92:Tough to find anything to criticise but if pushed I'd say fix the pool table so balls don't fall through the pockets and I thought it was a bit cheeky to charge 200 baht per tennis racquet per hour in low season. Not the fault of the Indigo pearl but also worth pointing out that as part of a Phuket-wide military cleanup the beach has just (as of last week) been cleared of many of its very good restaurants including Fiesta and Phen's. If you're expecting some cheaper (and very charming) options on the beach, for the time being options are a lot more limited.
Review 93:Pretty much everything. Staff are faultless and facilities/room very well maintained. Not sure how busy it gets in high season but in August it was quite quiet at times which was a nice surprise.
Review 94:The location is not close to anything else except the airport butthe resort is so good and complete that you do not actually need togo anywhere.
Review 95:Great design in all the resort. Great service. Absolutely perfect inevery way.
Review 96:Sports Bar Tonka Tin Syndicate needs air con!
Review 97:Tropical rainforest setting Quiet beach Comfy room with everything you need Excellent spa Great adults only pool with swim up bar Great restaurants reasonably priced
Review 98:No longer Sun-loungers on the beach during the day , and restaurants in the evening. The goverment rule has changed the whole feel of Nai Yang Beach. Not for the better.
Review 99:Love the vibe at Indigo ... Ambience / style / staff all contribute to the ultimate experience. I will be back for a third time soon.
Review 100:In the booking papers there were indicated free bikes, but you would have to pay 200 bath per hours, that means for two bikes 3 hours =1200 bath per day...
Review 101:Many good details showed, that the design did not shadow for functionality. Swimming pool for children and one for adults. Very comfortable beds. Location. The whole design of the rooms and the resort made one feel very relaxed. The kitchen (Tin Mine) made excellent breakfast and dinner with again many good details.
Review 102:Nothing - it was all amazing
Review 103:Everything - the staff were super attentive and friendly. The rooms had tasteful fittings and amenities - we loved the design of the entire property. The beds and pillows were quiet possibly the most comfortable we have slept on during all of our travels! 3 fab swimming pools - we liked that two were allocated to adults only and one had a swim up wet bar. Excellent room rate for such a high quality accommodation. We personally liked the fact that it was located in a quieter area of Phuket - it was a nice peaceful escape. The beach next to the hotel, is also very pleasant and not too crowded. Highly recommend this place to business or leisure travellers.
Review 104:No comments to add.
Review 105:Room location relative to the beach access was convenient. Bed and linen were very good. Staff were very attentive and punctual when dealing with requests.
Review 106:In comparison to 6 years ago the service has become worse. Stuff does not greet you or smile in most of the times. The buth was sinking. After "repair" we got a bottle of wine as appologies from the hotel, but when took a bath next time it was still sinking. The territory is abandoned in several places. The hotel appears to be a good 4 star hotel now with the remains of the luxury of the past times of the 5 stars.
Review 107:Location. Although close to the airport, the beach could have been cleaner and the private beach area - bigger. Breakfast menu could be updated.
Review 108:Super kind service, excellent facilities in the room and outdoors. Large territory ensures a feeling of privacy. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Review 109:The location is in great proximity to the airport, but it's hard to get around the island if you don't have a car!
Review 110:It was a big resort but it still felt very intimate.
Review 111:Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff, all are very friendly and are happy to try accomadate any requests you may have. Food was great. Good choice of swimming pools for kids or separate adult pool. The design of the resort and attention to detail is a feast for the eyes. We stayed in a pool villa and loved it.
Review 112:Overall the hotel has got an impressive design and the Black Ginger restaurant experience is worth of staying there for couple of nights at most.
Review 113:Nothing we didn't like
Review 114:Location
Review 115:No own facility on the beach, buildings are getting old and are dark, many wood and hence cockroaches
Review 116:Close to the beach, private pool and breakfast
Review 117:Lovely quiet place with lovely facilities nice that the pools had age limits
Review 118:Some of the waiters. English unsatisfactory
Review 119:Been there twice ..would go back again ...not cheap
Review 120:Great staff, loved the size of the resort and the proximity to the beach and local restaurants. The adult only pools were great too.
Review 121:They had issue with electricity but sorted out in hour
Review 122:Loved it. Interior is what makes it so cool. Breakfast are superb. Go for it
Review 123:Nothing.
Review 124:Everything in hotel is perfect!
Review 125:Staff were very helpful and friendly particularly Ann on reception
Review 126:Not privete beach.
Review 127:Breakfast is good and staff is kind. So cool design .
Review 128:Nothing
Review 129:The amazing design, variety of eating and bars and closeness to the airport. Day spa treatments were fantastic.
Review 130:Staff now trying to add me to be their friend on face book
Review 131:Everything was perfect
Review 132:I like everything about this hotel it s so different and so beautiful . This is our second time and we liked it as much as the first time
Review 133:Too big. Unwieldy. Too far from beach. Needing a golf cart to get anywhere is crazy
