Reviews for The Inn at Leola Village

Review 1:What's not to like?

Review 2:Service was impeccable. Appreciated the fact that flowers ordered for my wife Sylvia when they needed to be kept fresh. The property staff treated us both to every need.We will be returning in July.God Bless

Review 3:Bed was uncomfortable to us. Thin walls could hear neighbors all night long. Water spigot was hard to operate. Could not watch tv from the bed because it being in the cabinet..

Review 4:Room was beautiful.

Review 5:Stayed in a whirlpool suite in the tobacco barn. It was a windy night and the weather vein was squeaky all night long. The second night not so much.

Review 6:Upon arrival we received a room upgrade with a whirlpool.

Review 7:The included breakfast was not good. The tv's are tiny,no water pressure in the shower. Both mornings we didn't have regular coffee in our room just decaf and tea. I thought it was a ok place way over priced in my opinion.

Review 8:Was clean

Review 9:I was so wonderfully surprised to find a hotel like this. The room was beautiful. Every room is decorated differently. The service, food and spa where way beyond anything I imagined. I five star restaurant too.

Review 10:I loved the relaxing feel to the place, lovely food and the outside area was beautiful too We were there for a wedding which was on there too so it was the ideal venue

Review 11:Location, it was an Amish tobacco farm they converted to a hotel. Beautiful, extra large room, double sinks in bathroom. Definitely, a four star hotel and very clean.

Review 12:If you want to dine at the 5 Star TE restaurant, be sure to book in advance. We were not able to secure a reservation during our stay as they are only opened weekends with 5 tables for pre-fixed dining.

Review 13:The room was lovely and spacious. Everyone at the hotel was very courteous and focused on making your stay enjoyable.

Review 14:The particular room we had was noisy until about 10:00, then all was well. The staff member apologized numerous times for this small inconvenience.

Review 15:Gorgeous atmosphere. Very professional staff. Excellent food.

Review 16:The things I was not happy about was the half bathroom door that I couldn't latch and being in the basement. Seemed very dark and dingy. Would like to come back sometime and stay in another area.

Review 17:Loved the atmosphere and the beautiful grounds. Food was excellent. Staff all very pleasant and accommodating. the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Review 18:Within minutes of unpacking, I had a shard of glass in my bare foot. The hotel also had two weddings during our weekend visit. The first night was spent in the basement of the 'Carriage House' listening to drunken guests parade and party in the hallway, then get rowdy in their rooms shouting profanity until 3 AM. Called the front desk at 2 AM and they said there wasn't much they could do except send a security guard to tell them to settle down -- that worked for 5 minutes. Next morning, we reported our awful evening to the front desk and they moved us up to the main floor. Still had to listen to wedding partiers come-and-go in the parking lot until about 2 AM. The 'Carriage House' is more like a frat house.

Review 19:Central location and proximity to local attractions.

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:Customer service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our A/C went out our second night there and they moved us to a different room and upgraded it. It was wonderful.

Review 22:Unfortunately, the pool did not appear to have the filtration system working so the water appeared stagnant with some debris in the pool. This was pointed out to the desk staff person. Otherwise, would have made for a perfect stay. Not a big fan of a European breakfast although they had other items which satisfied and the dining staff was excellent.

Review 23:Beautiful, quiet and peaceful surroundings and excellent room and furnishings with an excellent staff. Comfortable and relaxing stay which was the purpose. Enjoyed our drink at the bar and talking with the bartender, a nice young man.

Review 24:Although I liked the rustic decor, the floors looked a little too grungy in some areas, especially in the bathroom and shower. Also would have liked a full door that closed for privacy in the bathroom.

Review 25:Nicely decorated room with a VERY comfortable bed.

Review 26:Somehow our room was upgraded to a suite (sweet!) but the room didn't accommodate the size of our party. We appreciated our liaison who found another room for us.

Review 27:Our breakfast! Wow! Our room.

Review 28:Our room was like a dungeon. It was supposed to be rustic Italian themed, but was really a sub-terrainan dungeon. All we could see out of our (small) windows was a wall topped by a large hedge. The Internet was good elsewhere in the hotel, but was really poor (almost non existant) in our room (I suppose that was in keeping with it feeling like a dungeon....). The room was dark and gloomy at all times. Walking down the long hall to our room really felt like we had entered the twilight zone. Other rooms in the hotel may have been bright, light and had great views... ours didn't.

Review 29:Clean, well maintained, attentive staff. Breakfast was nice. Great location for looking round Amish Lancaster county.

Review 30:I could not get our room to cool off even though I adjusted the thermostat and then turned it off the room kept getting hotter. So it was hard to sleep. Perhaps I did not do it right? not sure .

Review 31:Loved the facilities, the grounds, the free breakfast was good. The rooms are decorated nicely and are laid out well. Lots of room, two sinks, closet space, mini fridge/microwave all the things I want when traveling. Would stay there again anytime.

Review 32:We weren't impressed with the food in the evening but the brunch left even more to be desired. It seemed like leftovers they had warmed up and cut in small pieces so it looked plentiful. We would look for another location for dinner and settle for coffee and a fresh bagel for breakfast.

Review 33:The Inn is lovely as was our room in the main section of the Inn. The room was much larger than the average hotel with special amenities that made it feel luxurious.

Review 34:Noise transfer from room above was annoying. Might have been a factor of who was in that room. They just seemed to constantly walk back and forth.

Review 35:Stayed in room 506 on the lower level of the newer building. Very attractive decor. Sort of Tuscan country style. Walk in rain shower was great. Bed was very comfortable.

Review 36:Nothing to dislike...

Review 37:Comfortable beds, big room with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee, and absolutely charming atmosphere with beautifully maintained gardens. Staff very cordial and attentive. Tonia/Parkland, PA

Review 38:Their was a family staying in the room next to us and kids were crying all night off and on. Not very sound proof rooms. We also heard some kind of noise either below us or above us. Sounded like something being dragged or rolled across the floor, this was several times although not through the night time.

Review 39:Loved the old world charm and size of the room. We enjoyed walking through the lovely garden. Nick the bartender was friendly and pleasant.

Review 40:King mattress was a little old.

Review 41:Very friendly staff! Typical checkout time is 10am, which I thought was too early. I asked for an extended time and got 1pm.

Review 42:Male staff member not friiendly and acts as if he is put out by any tourism questions. Staff should offer the travel guide upon check in to avoid being bothered.

Review 43:I chose this hotel because I needed a room with a king bed, not 2 queens or double beds because my child normally won't sleep by himself. Upon arrival, I was told that my room was upgraded because what I booked wasn't available. We had a larger room, but smaller bed. 3 of us had to use a double bed, which made for some uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. If the room I booked wasn't available, I shouldn't have been able to book it. Breakfast also didn't offer much selection. Other than that, I have no complaints. the hotel is very nice.

Review 44:The Inn was clean and spacious. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Review 45:was celebrating 43rd Anniversary.didn't like the room or its location in the basement. asked for scenic view. we got view of bushes. Breakfast was a huge dissapointment. people walking overhead were so noisy. sounded like they were in our room late at night. and they didn't have change when we checked out . so we have to give them the change they owed us. no choice. not for us.

Review 46:The Guide Preston who showed us the room. and he was nice enough to recognize our anniversary and bought us a bottle of champagne back to our dungeon room. The Front desk did not. and I stated that on my reservation.

Review 47:Our friends were put up a flight of stairs in the "old" building, right on the street. Not so good for old folks.

Review 48:Our room was large and very comfortable

Review 49:The staff member checking us in was not very hospitable. She seemed a bit irritated and neglected to point out an alternate entrance/exit to our building. A much less rambling route. Our room which I suppose would be considered basic, was in the basement level of one of the buildings. It was extremely dark, even with all the antique type lamps and small spot lights turned on. Most of the lights needed to be turned on manually and it was hard not to notice the plugs and cords all over. The unique decor seemed over powered by the yellow brown antique coated walls, creating a somewhat unsettling mood. The air in the hallway and room was boarder line musty. I chose the room based on the king size bed which was probably in need of replacing. There was distinct sag in the center. The two sleeping pillows were insufficient we requested and received more, promptly. I would not book with the Inn again and would not feel comfortable referring others.

Review 50:The grounds of the Inn were absolutely beautiful. The decor concept was unique. The breakfast was excellent.

Review 51:The staff was more than accommodating and extremely professional but not stuffy. Free breakfast was the best "free" breakfast I've ever had, anywhere!

Review 52:The room we stayed in was not a suite, and did not cost 300 plus dollars. These rooms may have been luxurious, with wonderful amenities, and decorations. But our room was just plain jane, nothing special. In fact there were many things that could have been fixed, repaired before the next customer was put in that room. The top portion of the mini blinds were missing in at least 4 blinds, as it left light in, in fact 8 windows with mini blinds does not keep out the lights at night. The little buttons that cover the screws in the doors were mostly missing. Such a simple thing to replace to make the look complete. To me this was not a 5 star room. The bkf was not set up very user friendly, I heard many people complain about the set up to get food. We sat in the bar at one of the booths, ants were crawling down the wall and onto our table. Also there were no down comforters or feather pillows. They must have only been in those expensive suites

Review 53:parking, breakfast, food was good and different from other hotel bkf. But food stations were awkward and buy time you get to your table food was cold. wifi, staff was friendly

Review 54:Short staff. Wait times for food and drink extended as the poor guy working the bar was also acting as a server. Also the food wad average. We will stay elsewhere in the future.

Review 55:Decor, atmosphere

Review 56:everything

Review 57:The season was over. Hotel was almost empty. Their best restaurant was closed.

Review 58:The best lodging in the area

Review 59:Friendly, courteous staff, gorgeous, luxurious suite, relaxing getaway!

Review 60:Unique, well appointed property

Review 61:The place was just fabulous!!

Review 62:Everyone was so friendly and accommodating!

Review 63:Everthing: friendly staff, location, food

Review 64:Great facilities and amenities. Spa staff went above and beyond what was expected.

Review 65:Large, comfortable room, nicely appointed and evening desk attendant was extremely accommodating given our late arrival.

Review 66:Better TV reception

Review 67:Greast place overall GREAT staff

Review 68:Stuck in a basement room.

Review 69:Beautiful rooms and nice surroundings with a nice little garden. Quiet and very comfortable. Very nice styled public rooms.

Review 70:There were a couple weddings during our stay and people in the adjacent rooms were noisy well into the night. The played loud music and screamed.

Review 71:Went to the spa for a massage. It was wonderful. They offer a nice range of services - other than massages.

Review 72:could not see tv from bed

Review 73:nice and clean

Review 74:Beautifully decorated, spacious rooms, quiet enviorment

Review 75:Window was cracked and the one side of the shower door was broken.

Review 76:The room was like an apartment and this was their standard room.

Review 77:Everything about this hOrel is first class

Review 78:Very difficult to connect to wifi

Review 79:Breakfast ends early 9:30

Review 80:poor tv service for evenings.

Review 81:beautiful countryside location; gardens & meticulous groundskeeping.

Review 82:The food was only so-so.

Review 83:Lovely property. Rooms spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 84:The 5 once steak was very expensive and there was no reception for wi fi in my room.

Review 85:Room was very nice

Review 86:Next visit would like to upgrade to a suite or a room not down a flight of steps....could have used better lighting. Bed was comfortable but squeaked....just sitting on was enough to hear the noise.

Review 87:Outstanding staff. Check in gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. Breakfast was excellent. Flowers around village were beautiful.

Review 88:Old towels were not removed in one of the rooms and didn't like the breakfast food selection.

Review 89:Landscaping was beautiful, staff very accommodating, rooms clean and beautiful.

Review 90:Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, but it was very difficult to control room temperature. It was winter, but the room was much too warm, and even turning off the heat system, warm air continued to flow into the room. We had to open windows with outdoor temps in the 20s. Then the room was freezing! Frustrating.

Review 91:Very charming inn near Lancaster. Very pretty grounds and public spaces. Lovely restaurants and bar. Very friendly staff.

Review 92:The Inn and all of its amenities created a cozy and comfortable place for us to enjoy. We enjoyed sitting in the evening by the fireplace. The Inn included a morning brunch.

Review 93:The rooms were very well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Thesetting was quiet and the grounds beautifully taken care of. The staffwas very helpful and friendly.

Review 94:I would think for the rate you could of served a better breakfast. It can't cost that much the serve hot food. to many pastries. good breakfast to start the day . We will stay at spring hill inn the next time good breakfast and nicer rooms and beds. we had problems with the shower not working had to wait for them to fix it

Review 95:Thin walls - sound travels easily No mini-fridge despite promise inhotel description

Review 96:Unique furnishings Comfortable bed Large room Beautiful landscaping

Review 97:The rooms were very quaint and comfortable. The rooms were very clean as were the rounds. It felt more like home than a hotel. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was lovely and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Review 98:Acoustics were terrible. Heard the woman above us all day, evening and next morning. Also, heard the air conditioning unit (or something) humming all night. We had to stuff cotton in our ears. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Review 99:Breakfast was good.

Review 100:Parlor suite not as spacious as perceived. Hotel is noisy, walls are thin. Breakfast selections are sparse with the exception of pastries and bread. Furnishings are old and uncomfortable.

Review 101:Not much. Grounds are pretty.

Review 102:rooms a bit noisy with bright parking lot near by. But simply ask for a room away from road and parking lot. service makes up for it.

Review 103:Staff was amazing!! friendly and helpful with our young kids. Restaurant was very good and again helpful with young children.

Review 104:Initially, I was upset because the room I booked was not the room I was given, but "Tim" was able to find me better accommodations. The water in the shower did not stay warm. I would have liked to have a room with a large tub and/or jacuzzi instead of the rainshower. It was not what I expected.

Review 105:I stayed in one of the cottages, and I enjoyed the coziness of the room, as well as the amenities, which included a gas fireplace.

Review 106:no complaints

Review 107:very clean, extra large bedroom, lovely breakfast and very classy!
