Reviews for Getúllio Hotel by Nobile
Review 1:Close to the historic centre of the city. Not a lot of choice of restaurants in the area, but there is a small café in the hotel where you can get a heated frozen meal. Staff were helpful and obliging. There are no frills, but the basics are provided.
Review 2:The front desk staff are friendly but not efficient. I had a faulty faucet and I requested for maintenance. After dinner (>1 hours later), I found out that no one had checked it. Eventually I had to change to another room, and that process too, took half an hour!
Review 3:The attendant at the small restaurant was very helpful.
Review 4:Although the location is central, that part of the city is quite ugly The room was clean enough but not super clean
Review 5:Nice breakfast Central location Confortable bedroom with big desk and lots of natural light
Review 6:The location is a little bit unsafety, is Downtown and all the shops were closed because it was Sunday. The hotel justified that has not enought staff to have room service.
Review 7:Easy to have a cab. A good place to stay during Mondays to Fridays.
Review 8:One room had a view of a concrete wall. Pricing was very high....but understandable a few days before the first World Cup matches.
Review 9:Location was great. Enjoyed complimentary breakfasts.....but would like a better range of cereals. (Problem is Brazil has a poor range of muesli and cereal....want lower fat and no added sugar). Fruit was good.
Review 10:Across the road, the Chilean football fans were up all night chanting, whilst the sports store next door started playing dance music very early in the morning.
Review 11:Busy area.
Review 12:There was no water available anywhere at night and it was painfully hot so there's definitely something to improve on.
Review 13:There is no room service, but they have a convenience store open till 22:00.
Review 14:Clean rooms, good location, easy to get a taxi or bus to the airport.
Review 15:Breakfast and cleanliness.
Review 16:Location.
Review 17:Too basic, noise from the street, staff not motivated
Review 18:Nothing particular...
Review 19:No English Tv. No map of the nearby attractions
Review 20:Size of the bed, internet speed, breakfast
Review 21:A cortina não é black out, não escurece totalmente o quarto. Isolamento acústico fraco.
Review 22:O café da manhã é excelente
Review 23:Hard to understand the management because of lacking the English language.
Review 24:The breakfast
Review 25:Great location in city centre
Review 26:Not a good place if you don't know porteguese and one of the front desk wouldnt even try as I attempted Portuguese, I know that im not an expert speaker, but to be dimissive is rude. All of the other staff were really nice, but if you dont speak Portuguese well, stay away from the girl with glasses.
Review 27:Area was dangerous during the night. Almost got robbed only 200m awayfrom the hotel.
Review 28:Breakfast was excellent, location was ok as proximity to the airport ifyou get dropped off during the day.
Review 29:There was only one towel in the room and no blankets at all. This hotel is just about three stars and even taking into account that it was the world cup it was VERY expensive.
Review 30:The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, the extra towels arrived speedily.
Review 31:The cost of the hotel was beyond a joke. For what it offered to what we paid was rough but we were in town for the soccer and had no choice. Not much of a room. The location was noisy till about midnight and the air con was so loud with no cold air. Over all was ok... But I wouldn't stay here again. Not for the price.
Review 32:Staff were very friendly and helpful. They spoke pretty good English and helped us out where we needed it.
Review 33:The entrance hall is small and not too friendly looking. It is only once in your room that you start realizing how good the hotel really is. The only thing I missed was a restaurant inside the hotel. Perhaps for lack of space, they have only a small store vending pizzas etc. that you can eat in the breakfast room. Aside from this, the hotel is perfect.
Review 34:Excellent value for money, my room was large (not crammed), really quiet (on the side opposite the main street), with internet working correctly. Very good breakfast. Really a very good hotel.
Review 35:No one picks Cuiaba as a destination. It is a mandatory beginning andending point due to its airport, for trips to the Pantanal andelsewhere. This is the place to stay for that. The rooms, though basic, are sparkling clean and the location is a block away from quaintshopping streets closed to vehicle traffic. Its cheap, its safe, itsclean and it more than fits the bill.
Review 36:Location can be dicey at night. Our tour guide cautioned us that it is fine to walk around the area during the day, but advised us not to walk around the area at night. I rated the staff poor, because the staff during the day were lazy. While checking out after our first stay at this hotel, there were 4 staff members hanging around the reception area doing nothing and only 1 person working the front desk, trying to check-out 5 different customers. Why was there nobody else to help her out with the check-out process when there are 4 other staff members just hanging around? I don't know. We asked for a taxi, but none of the guys could assist. The busy lady at reception, who spoke English, had to call one for us, because none of the guys would flag one from the street. On our last stay, we had an early flight out of Cuiaba and were in the rush to get out. Staff saw us come down the stairs with our luggage, but didn't offer any assistance. They didn't offer to help us with our bags, open the door, nor did they hold the door for us. That's pretty bad. Needless to say, we found the night staff were better than the day staff, in particular, this one lady who can speak English and was alway happy to help and another guy who helped us with our luggage during check-in on both occasions.
Review 37:Hotel is fine for a 1 night stay only. We stayed here on 2 different nights: 1 night before and after our Pantanal tour. It's a brand new hotel located across the street from the Metropolitan Cathedral. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Review 38:The location in center of Cuiaba becomes deserted at night. No restaurant nearby, just one place to buy a sandwitch. On sunday nothing is open וn this area.. People in the reception are nice but not very helpful with information and hotel does not seem to arrange tours with local agencies. The rooms are noisy since hotel is located on a major avenue. Need to switch elevator im the 6 floor if your ropm is located at higher floor. The minibar was making awful noise the first night and I was told to didvpnect it. Water was lealing from toilete and needed to change room.
Review 39:Nice and large room, clean, and safe. Very good breakfast. Cheap.
Review 40:Staff were very kind. Very close to bus station and taxi stand.
Review 41:A bit pricey
Review 42:Very helpful staff, especially one Mariana.
Review 43:No hair dryer!!!
Review 44:Some of the staff spoke English.
Review 45:Cost was outrageous (World Cup time)
Review 46:Attitude, internal cafe working till midnight, breakfasts
Review 47:The staff were very kind and helpful. The location is great.
Review 48:The lack of an iron (even on demand)
Review 49:The warmth of staff and general cleanliness of the room
Review 50:A lot of noise from the road from the early morning. Couldn't sleep further than until 6am because of this.
Review 51:bad Wi-Fi signal
Review 52:Staff help with mobile SIM card connection
Review 53:The staff were pleasant and helpful, the location is great and the brekky was truely fantastic!
