Review 1：There was no water in the morning at 04h00. I don't know if it was due to external influences because of the draught or we were not informed of the possibility of there not being any water.

Review 3：The only thing what was not perfect was the braai place. Some things are missing but it's very beautiful. Restaurants are far away.

Review 4：We arrived and got a welcome drink. The owners are very nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and it's not far to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. The highlight was the breakfast, don't miss it!

Review 6：The guesthouse is a nice,clean and secure place to stay. It is centrally located for visiting the Hluhluwe iMflozi game reserve and on the way to Lake St.Lucia.We enjoyed our two days stay at the guesthouse and can highly recommend it.

Review 11：A great find in this small town. The owners are most friendly and make you feel at home. The place has the feel of a boutique hotel set in a lovely garden. Rooms have been decorated with great care and thought. They are equipped with fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, air con and TV. Everything is kept so clean by the hard-working staff. Each room has an outside seating area and there are two brai areas. They are fully kitted out with utensils, plates, glasses, salt and pepper, etc. All you have to do is supply the charcoal and food, which you can get from the Spar supermarket down the road. All the washing-up is done for you the following day. There is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi - towels are provided. You are only 15 minutes from Hluhluwe Umfolozi Park. Also nearby is the Emdoneni Cat Centre and False Bay, if you want to walk by the water in solitude. A great stay and good value for money.

He was extremely helpful on tips and advice on excursions as well as guidance with maps. Breakfast was awesome and the staff very friendly and helpful. Review 16：We were lucky to get upgraded to the "Honeymoon suite". What a treat... with a great big bed, a huge soaking bath, rain shower, robes coffee/tea facilities, hair dryer, sewing kit etc etc. Dinning table, couch and huge tv. Everything very clean and the attention to details was unique. The common area was pleasant and well decorated but not very private. Breakfast was cooked to order, delicious and served in a beautifully decorated African room. Owner was nice and very helpful.

Review 17：Maybe the plastic plates and utensils for self-catering could be improved upon. Also, If you are carrying frozen ingredients with you for the onward leg of your trip you need to check whether the main house can assist with overnight freezing. The small fridges in the rooms do not have any meaningful freezing space.

Review 27：Llewelyn went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and that we had all that we needed. He immediately queried and arranged a game drive for us within 15 minutes of our arrival. We were provided with a substantial packed breakfast for the game drive. The kitchen staff was most attentive and helpful also. The tranquil surroundings were a balm to my city-battered soul.

Review 32：this is not a 4 star lodge. breakfast was poor, the slice toast was counted (we had to ask 4 times for more bread!!) the room was more a cave, humid, dark with a lot of clutter it was a low building with low ceiling adding to the claustrofobia . the bathroom was in the corner as a part of the bed room. no door that separated the toilet from the bedroom. very unwelcoming : ringing the bell was useless, I had to blow the horn for several minutes before the owner hesitantly came to see who was making such a noise. No welcome, it was very weird as if it was against his will : why do they operate a b&b?

Review 105：Everything. Room, although fairly small was well designed and well equipped. Outside sitting area and garden. Excellent variable breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts and had free wi-fi. Locations was quiet and convenient.

Review 106：The only unpleasant experience we had was the lack of water to bath or shower on two occasions. This though was the fault of the local authorities and was outside the control of the venue. The owner had reserve water tanks and thus the problem was only of a temporary nature.

Review 107：My wife and i along with our two longstanding friends from USA spent a delightful 3 nights at the venue. Facilities were excellent and staff at breakfast were always attentive and food and its presentation was good. The owner checked with us each morning as to our well-being and plans for the day and on our return to see if all was well and if we had enjoyed the day. All of us would without any doubt revisit and also recommend the venue.

Review 115：The owners are very charming people, but it appeared to us they just had a busy period themselves when we were there. Their website says they organize safari's, but we were told driving on our own was cheaper and we would be taking the same roads as an organized safari anyway. Perhaps correct but our safari drive was quite disappointing (only some wild pigs and gnoes). On the other hand the advice we were given about a trip to St.Lucia was very helpful. That was a very nice day. Thanks!

Review 116：All good points mentioned by other travellers are correct. Here some suggestions on how to counter the criticism that restaurants are far away. At about one km from the guesthouse is a nice Spar supermarkt and a liquor store (another but less attractive supermarket is across the Engen gass station). Buy your ingredients there and enjoy the nice facilities and surroundings at the guesthouse to do selfcatering. You can go to the nearby Protea hotel for dinner, but the atmosphere there is colder than in a East bloc cafetaria. Consider also buying fried chicken etc at the KFC across the Engen gas station, or even at the shop of the gas station. For sure we gave the chicken of these three places the following stars (out of five). Engen shop five stars, KFC four, Protea hotel one star. There is also a Wimpy next to the gas station but we did not try it. Farther away (12 km if I remember well) is a restaurant called Almarillo (or somethning similar). If you want to try it ask for detailed directions. We were hit by a severe thunderstorm going there and maybe because of this (poor visibility) could not find it. Another couple staying at the guesthouse also got lost trying to find it.
