Reviews for Weasku Inn

Review 1:Cozy and comfortable on a cold and rainy night! Loved the fireplace and the lodge furniture. Impressed with the Aveda guest products. So glad I decided to stop and treat myself by upgrading to a cabin for the night rather than drive another 2.5 hours to home in the dark. Apparently, freezing rain and icy conditions caused roads to be closed and lots of accidents...didn't know that until I got home the next day. It was the perfect evening for nestling in.

Review 2:I expected the cabin balcony would overlook the river however the river was set back so that you could see a glimpse of it here and there. The balcony still sat amongst the trees but I would have loved a water view. :9)

Review 3:We stayed in a cute little cabin. Employees were very friendly! Great breakfast! Beautiful lobby with a card table and more! Peaceful atmosphere! Weasku Inn is pronounced, We Ask You Inn! Very clever! :9)

Review 4:The historic nature of the property, ambiance and setting. The staff remembered my desire to be gluten free and provided breakfast items and evening cookies that were gluten free on a return visit.

Review 5:Our power went out at about 10pm and didn't go back on until 5am. We had been on the road the night before for 7 hours and needed to charge our phones for the next leg of the trip. Also some sort of beeping kept us up- a back up power source? This was very disappointing.

Review 6:The service hit or miss. If you asked the right questions, the staff would give great information.

Review 7:Nothing. Everything was great!

Review 8:Everythin! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful staff, grounds, service and food. We we're there for our honeymoon and they treated us extreamly well. Had a bottle of wine in our room, and even though we don't drink it was nice to see they cared. Everything was beyond our expectations.

Review 9:The staff is very friendly and remembers you from previous visits. Love the wine tasting and appetizers at night since the location is a distance from town and local restaurants.

Review 10:There were no windows (no air) in the room. There were visible spider webs and spiders above the desk. The light level with lights on was extremely low.

Review 11:The bed was lovely, comfortable with nice linens.

Review 12:Site was excellent but location surroundings ( other properties) are starting to look a little worn out. The river edge needed some tender loving care to enhance experience of stay if owned by lodge. Road noise in front upper unit.Explore adding triple glazed units with laminated glass? Include small refrigerators in units with no charge.

Review 13:Setting , rustic appearance., cozy room

Review 14:the room next door's AC or heater was so loud all night we slept poorly. Mildew around the tub. The room cold when we arrived and it was very expensive, advertised to be overlooking a river...the river was far away and barely visible. Loud traffic noise. VERY noisy place and looks SO tranquil.

Review 15:VERY disappointing

Review 16:I should have upgraded to the back side of the lodge from the front room which faced the road

Review 17:The rustic lodge; the country setting; a pleasant staff; the great breakfast; the comfy bed; the size of the room and bath; and clean; the nicely maintained grounds with attendant beauty

Review 18:Cabins do not face the river which is about 100 yards away. There is a small flowing canal (maybe 8 ft. wide) to look out over from the sizeable wraparound decks. But the view are basically lots of trees only...and not something which makes one want to sit out on the nice deck. The Umqua is a marvellous river and staying in that setting seems a waste if you aren't by it. Breakfast is about what you'd get at a Comfort Inn...absolutely nothing special for an obviously very picturesque lodge with rooms in the $180 range per night.

Review 19:The cabins are quite large and well appointed, with nice sitting areas in front of gas fireplaces. Bathroom is large and well set-up, nice linens and towels. Common lodge area is very quaint with good sitting spaces. Staff is friendly enough.

Review 20:I was upset at how the rooms were outdated on many things. My booking said i was getting a room with a Jacuzzi tub but the staff said it was a mistake on the website. The folder in the room was outdated by 4 years as well as the phone book. one of the perks was a shuttle but was told by most staff they never heard of the Inn doing that but the pamphlet in room listed it. I also was a little freaked out by the rat that ran across the room and up the wall.

Review 21:The staff was amazing. Never have i had a staff from a Hotel with actual concern of meeting their customers needs. I had a hell of a day, week, month, year? and everyone lifted my mood and made me relax.

Review 22:This is not really anything that made our stay bad. But we walked to the river and could not really enjoy the greatness of the Rogue because of the willow trees in our view. I think if I were to get a cabin room I would be disappointed in not being able to sit on my porch and watch the water. We stayed in the main lodge in the king room but next time we visit we would like to stay in a cabin (so cut the willows ha ha)

Review 23:From the tasty treats early evening to the cookies at 7, all the extras you offered to make a stay memorable were great We sat and read our books on your sooo inviting grass under the redwood trees. How very peaceful. The staff were so warm and friendly. Could not ask for nicer people. Thanks for making our stay perfect.

Review 24:Leaving!

Review 25:The staff, Amber, Michaela, Kevin...they all made us feel like family. They even bought me lactose free milk to go with the delicious nightly chocolate chip cookies they bake fresh.

Review 26:After a long road trip, we were greeted by a staff person at the front desk who when asked if we were at the check in office she replied, "I sure hope so!". We were not in the mood to be greeted with sarcasm. This is not good customer service. We would have stayed at another one of their properties if we would have realized there was so much freeway noise.

Review 27:The setting was beautiful. We also liked the offerings of appetizers, cookies and breakfast.

Review 28:We wanted to walk around the property and see the river, but our shoes got stuck in some very deep mud in the lawn and we couldn't find a path so we retreated back to the building. The breakfast was very mediocre. I thought it was because we are vegan and there wasn't much for us, but one of the omnivorous families in the room were making some comments as well. Overall it is a very charming inn, but it didn't feel like an amazing value.

Review 29:Very charming inn with some history in a beautiful setting with a large green lawn and tall redwoods. Lovely furnishings, large bathroom, quiet, nice staff, fun lounge on the first floor.

Review 30:You can hear street noise and lobby noise from rooms in the lodge. The cabins are not directly on the Rogue River but you can see it through the trees.

Review 31:Stayed twice, once in the lodge in Room 3, once in a cabin --33. Both rooms were lovely. Beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean. Rustic upscale. This is a charming place and I look forward to coming back. It is very peaceful. The appetizers and wine and the cookies in the evening were a nice extra. Breakfast was fine. It would have been nice to have some whole grain bread or organic options in a lodge of this calibre. Everyone was very kind and hospitable. I would've enjoyed staying longer and look forward to my next visit!

Review 32:This inn is a delight! The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere cozy and homey, an entirely welcoming feeling envelops you as soon as you arrive...

Review 33:Gravel track to cabin was difficult to manage with luggage despite trolley, breakfast cereal and yoghurt was so sweet as to be inedible, other food overcooked and dull. It was less "historical" than expected.

Review 34:Location by the river, comfortable cabin.

Review 35:Beautiful grounds to enjoy the outstanding weather during our brief stay. It was our first visit to Grants Pass area, but it will certainly not be our last. Wineries in Applegate Valley had spectacular venues and wine. Would put them above any in Napa and Amador/El Dorado counties

Review 36:The heat wave, but our rooms were wonderfully air conditioned.

Review 37:The setting was so peaceful and the rooms immaculate we wanted to stay longer. The food provided in our stay was excellent!

Review 38:They need new softer mattresses & pillows. We booked a king bed & were given a queen. Also the cabin doors lock automatically. Sitting on the deck, we locked ourselves out then we had to go all the way to the lodge & they tell us that happens all the time. They don't offer to come unlock it for us they make us come to the lodge get a key & then go all the way back to the lodge & give it back to them. Poorly handled.

Review 39:The cabins and the size of the rooms were genious. The property was cool.

Review 40:Old fashioned inn with modern features(nice bathroom, nice bedding). Good breakfast--appreciate the use of real china and glassware, not paper. Also enjoyed the evening cookies.

Review 41:Had to pay for a glass of wine which should have been included with the horderves.

Review 42:The beauty of the property is so amazing. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Review 43:Only possible drawback is the location of the main lodge, where I stayed, is close to highway with lots of traffic/trucks. However, it didn't really impact my one night stay negatively. Upstairs toilets in lodge apparently have issues, per the staff.

Review 44:friendly staff; wonderful property and lodge feeling; off the beaten path on the river ; breakfast decent with choices. Will want to try one of the cabins another time.

Review 45:Having to leave for home.

Review 46:The friendliness of all the staff. The overall comfort of the Inn and surrounding property. The beautiful trees and sweet songs of the birds. And the staff waiting for me with my cold milk and cookies. No matter what time I tip toed in.

Review 47:We were in a suite with a jetted tub. I went to take a bath and when I turned the jets on, leaves, dirt, and bugs blew out. Disgusting! I told the lady at the front desk the next morning at checkout, and she did try to offer me a bottle of wine. I don't drink but it was a nice gesture .

Review 48:The lodge suite was great. We loved the location by the river and the breakfast was awesome.

Review 49:The first time, we stayed in a room in the main lodge. This time, we sprung for a room with a jacuzzi tub. It seemed a little high-priced compared to other places we've stayed, even with the nice amenities. The room was nice and spacious, and the tub was great; however, the room also seemed a little dingy and, specifically, there was dust on the overhead beams. For the price, I'd expect NO dust and for the linens to be newer and fresher.

Review 50:We enjoy the opportunity to get away from a busier city and life... to stay in the woods away from town. We stay here when we visit my son, who lives in Grants Pass.

Review 51:Lighting! The lighting in our room was terrible. You either were in the bed or on a very uncomfortable wicker chair if you wanted to read. The bathroom was also very, very dark.

Review 52:The location is very pretty and we had a wonderful view of the creek and pond. The breakfast was very nice.

Review 53:We were asked to not use the jets on the jacuzzi tub so as not to disturb other guests. We didn't use them to be polite, but then we started to think if they could hear the jets, what else could they hear?

Review 54:The location and charm of the place was ideal! Breakfast was great. Overall, great quality for the cost!

Review 55:My husband and I stayed only one night but found the place very charming and cozy and comfortable in every way. Breakfast was good as well, and excellent dinner options just up the road.

Review 56:Prefer a single facility vs cabins. Bed was ready and was scheduled for replacement.

Review 57:Location on the Rogue River Large, suite-like room with furniture for every occasion Setting like "in the woods on the river"

Review 58:Nothing

Review 59:We loved staying at this cottage, Everyone was so nice and helpful. We had the best time. We will recommend to everyone when they come to GP to stay here. You guys are the best.!!!!!!

Review 60:I thought the hot breakfast was a bit oversold. With the enthusiasm that the "hot breakfast" -- not a continental breakfast -- was stated to us, I expected we'd get to choose from a menu and would receive something cooked to order. The offerings were a step up from only cold items, like cereal and bagels, but I would have called this a buffet breakfast, with things like biscuits and gravy, and eggs and sausages, in warming pans. It was a fine breakfast but a bit of a disappointment from what I expected.

Review 61:While not walk-close to amenities, the inn is nestled in the trees off the beaten path. We had a nice, quiet two-night stay there. We really enjoyed reading our books by the fireplace in the main lodge.

Review 62:I liked everything about this beautiful log lodge with spacious and luxurious cabins. The breakfast, appetizers, and late night snacks were delightful. I will make this a must-do stop every time I'm am traveling through southern Oregon.

Review 63:Nothing negative to report, I will highly recommend this as a place to stay in Grants Pass.

Review 64:We were met at reception by Zakie, who set the tone for an outstanding experience. Accomodations were top notch and the breakfast in the morning had the best biscuts and gravey I have had in a long time.

Review 65:There wasn't much not to like, except, perhaps, for the vehicular traffic noises coming from the road out front, but I realize that's unsolvable and just something that guests will have to overlook. There are more than enough charming attributes to compensate for this!

Review 66:The casual and authentic atmosphere, the unpretentious furnishings, the country look and feeling, and the friendly people running the place. Occupying a room next to Clark Gable's was an unexpected but pleasant bonus.

Review 67:Upstairs room was stuffy and hot. Took a while to cool off with a fan.

Review 68:Nice location along river and a nice property to walk around; however, Interstate 5 is pretty noisy in the river valley.

Review 69:It is a remodeled old cabin so it has it's quirks. I was not completly ready to step back in time but it's ok. NOTE: I would return but not to the king room and the top floor of the lodge. It overlooks the highway and cars driving by kept us up all night.

Review 70:It felt like I stepped into a better homes and garden magazine. It was nice to have fresh fruit and snacks in the afternoon and the breakfast in the morning.

Review 71:Having to leave the Lodge to get something to eat in the evening.

Review 72:Back to nature with all the comfort you could ever wish for. Big comfy bed, wonderful bathroom with quality products and lots of towels

Review 73:Would have liked to have some cut up fruit with breakfast.

Review 74:Beautiful location and cabins. Great staff. OK breakfast. Chocolate chip cookies in the evening. We had a problem with the TV and they called someone to come fix it and still gave us a discount because of the inconvenience. Great price through booking.com. Would definitely stay there again.

Review 75:lost a dollar in soda machine there was a pizza left in the refrigerator, don't know how long it was there

Review 76:the setting and the cabin was very nice, great view

Review 77:The wood cabin rustic decor fit right in with the surrounding trees and river. My husband enjoyed the breakfast that was more than the typical "continental" breakfast provided at most hotels. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Review 78:The lodge is too close to the highway. Traffic noise was quite loud. Stay in the cabins if you can.

Review 79:We stayed in the lodge and everything in the room was perfect. My wife didn't want to leave.

Review 80:Air clim. You could not stop, too cold in the room during the night. The reception told us to put the heater on, maximum. Even like that the room stayed too cold. + the noise from the road. = very bad sleep

Review 81:Nice decor

Review 82:Unfortunately there was a lot of road noise from Highway 5 as well as the Rogue River Highway.

Review 83:The lodge was beautiful and surrounded by lush lawns and trees. Our cabin was well designed and appointed. Very spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. There was a lovely covered deck facing the river.

Review 84:We stayed in Room 1 and the air conditioning was not the best. We were told that it was building controlled thus we were not able to cool it down more. A fan for air movement might of helped also. We did open the window but it did not alleviate the issue. A small refrigerator in the room would be a nice addition.

Review 85:The view out to lawn and the comfortable outdoor chairs. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was spacious and well appointed.

Review 86:Breakfast was mediocre

Review 87:Beautiful views

Review 88:We love the ambience of the inn.

Review 89:The staff went out of their way to take care of you, and make you feel at home.

Review 90:Noisy due to being on a busy street

Review 91:Very nice room and whirl bathtub

Review 92:Nothing at all
