Review 1：In a few years the place probably needs some maintenance. for instance the tennis courts

Review 6：The staff were so friendly and helpful. The Quinta was beautiful, the evening meal and breakfast were fantastic and the swimming pool was so inviting!

Review 8：Fabulous manor house with spacious guest rooms, incredibly dog friendly with the room opening into the garden. The room was spacious and comfortable. We ate here in the evening and at breakfast. Local food with excellent conversation €50 for two people, 4 courses, wine aperitif and port.

Review 9：The accommodations were wonderful - we were treated like family and our host and his son took us with them to a local village for the Sao Sebastiao (spelling ??) festival which made our visit to Cháves extra special - want to visit sometime and take in the Friday the 13th celebrations in Montalegre - thanks for such a special time.

Review 12：Stopped off whilst touring, originally only for one night but ended up staying for two. We couldn't fault our stay, from the moment we arrived and was greeted with outstanding hospitality. The location was superb and facilities well above what we expected with some amazing meals being served in this lovely house. The only down side was that we didn't stay longer. Thank you for a great stay.

Review 31：Warm welcome,including glass of port and 2 buns. Excellent evening meal, and great breakfast. Though no English spoken ,hospitality couldn't have been better . With a little bit of French and Portuguese, we got by. We hope to return.

Review 35：The property and owners are a true treasure of the country. They are preserving history and culture in a beautiful setting. They are willing and able to go out of their way to fulfill special requests. In our case it was horse culture adventure in the area. But could be almost anything as they are well connected and willing to do so
