Reviews for Georgia Gameday Center

Review 1:Must sign a sheet of rules and stipulations prior to accepting room which should be an immediate red-light. Room had lights that didn't function, light bulbs that fell out of their sockets, a missing TV remote, and ladybugs scattered throughout the unit.

Review 2:Easily location in center of historic downtown Athens across the street from campus can't be beat. Staff was extremely pleasant and courteous.

Review 3:The noise outside one of the bedroom windows was really loud.

Review 4:For the ratings that it had before, I was very disappointed. The room on first look appeared clean but looking closer it was marginal.

Review 5:There were stains on the carpet in both bedrooms & a few other tiny repairs needed. I meant to take photos but forgot. For the price, I expected a little nicer & cleaner.

Review 6:Staff: very nice & helpful.

Review 7:The wifi was horrible. They state that not all devices can connect and basically it's mostly apple that won't. That's a huge part of the population! After a few tries I was able to get my phone and iPad to connect but the next day had to redo it and they would not connect. Also, even though we were on the eighth floor we could hear the constant booming of the late night music from the bar a block away.

Review 8:Nice furnishings. Completely geared up with Dawg Decor

Review 9:The sofa wasn't a pullout bed..

Review 10:Tell Front desk associated was very friendly. . I was very pleased that we was able to check in early. The room was just as nice as the photos from the website.

Review 11:The room and balcony were small. Only 2 wash sets for 4 guests. Trash cans were few and small. No gameroom as advertised.

Review 12:Room decor was GA Crazy, Bed was very comfortable

Review 13:We did not realize there was not daily room service. We were surprised when we returned from a funeral and the room was not cleaned. Ran out of hot water everyday! Some of us had to take cold showers.

Review 14:The space was wonderful, liked the kitchen and the spacing of the rooms...kids could watch their programs without interrupting us.

Review 15:We stay here every year for national signing day. We love all the bulldog decorations. Room 501 have on small rug in the kitchen with a G on it. That was the only decoration. I feel like we were cheated.

Review 16:The sounds from the hallway were very loud in the small room and living room. The doors need more sound proofing.

Review 17:The location was great for walking through town or UGA campus. We had plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teens. One room is definitely the "master" because it has a little more space and the balcony and window is in that room. We would definitely stay again.

Review 18:Overall, a little pricey. Wifi comes in & out.

Review 19:This hotel/condo is perfect for traveling in Athens. Parking is great. You can walk anywhere downtown & lots on campus.

Review 20:Only bad thing I have to say is not the properties fault. Construction on the next block over was loud in the morning. We stayed October 2, 2014.

Review 21:Picture of the owning family. Felt like we were guests.

Review 22:Not being able to park in the deck before you check in is a bit irritating.

Review 23:Rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and there is a balcony for the several I have stayed in over the years.

Review 24:The room was so small you could barely move around once the fold out couch was pulled out. The sheets smelt so old and musty that I felt like I could not even wash the stench off with my shower the next day. Kind of ruined my attitude for the visit.

Review 25:Location is right in downtown athens

Review 26:Staff was not very helpful, and parking was difficult to figure out if you have never been here before which was the case for me.

Review 27:The location was perfect and enjoyed the balcony feature.

Review 28:The sofa bed was the only complaint. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows provided for it, and the mattress felt like a thin piece of foam wrapped around chain link fence. Not really six-person capacity, because that couch could not be alept on in the fold out position, amd had no bedding. We ended up folding it back up, taking a sheet off another bed, and usibg a decorative pillow. It was a lucky thing that there only wound up being five of us there that night, instead of six like we'd originally planned.

Review 29:Perfectly located for spending the entire weekend in Downtown Athens. Extremely clean. The bed was SO comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped to cook meals. And the decor is amazing for any UGA fan!

Review 30:Location was great. Suite served our purpose well. It was very clean and comfortable.

Review 31:noise in the corridor

Review 32:No dislike

Review 33:The space was big

Review 34:Flat bed pillow and only one

Review 35:Comfortable and a great location.

Review 36:Suspicious that the WiFi may not be secure

Review 37:I felt as if I was in my own home.

Review 38:Strong odor from all the linens. Water was not draining properly in the shower tub.

Review 39:Location was perfect.

Review 40:no ice in freezer would have prefered a king bed

Review 41:we liked it all

Review 42:My room was spacious with all the conveniences of being at home. I'll definitely stay there the next time I'm in Athens!

Review 43:Roomy, great location, nothing bad to say

Review 44:Could never get wifi to work effectively or consistently

Review 45:Location, decor, comfort

Review 46:The place was dusty. The area rugs looked dirty.

Review 47:Great location

Review 48:It was nice to have so much space. Very convienient location. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants.

Review 49:The water pressure was poor. The pillows were super flat.

Review 50:I liked the layout

Review 51:Location; comfortable amenities of the suite; secure parking; value.

Review 52:Walking distance to Classic Center and dining during stay if conference. We liked having space to meet as a group.

Review 53:Everything we needed to entertain a few friends and close proximity to night life, complete with private facility back entrance!

Review 54:wifi

Review 55:room very clean

Review 56:The apartment was beautiful. Location was great.

Review 57:I like how close to everything down town it is located.

Review 58:would loved to have had something quick available for breakfast for those of us in rush, coffee was good

Review 59:location, decor, parking was secure, loved suite stye providing privacy

Review 60:I could never get connectivity on the wifi network that was included as part of the resort fee

Review 61:The accommodations were nice and made a stay very easy and comfortable

Review 62:The parking lot area was not ideal for a mom unloading three little kids and all their stuff. The key did not work going into the parking lot and we were told to come back in the office and get another key. There was no laundry detergent and there are not any stores in the immediate area (walking distance) to purchase diapers etc.

Review 63:The decor was really nice! The beds were comfortable. Nice having a washer and dryer in the room. They were flexible for getting us in before check in time so we could be ready for a 5:00 wedding which was 45 minutes away from the hotel.

Review 64:I understand that because of the nature of the hotel there is no breakfast or food service but it would have been nice to have complementary water bottles. This is the only thing really.

Review 65:I was there on business trip. The location was very close to the venue and the hotel provided free shuttle service but you have to be sure that the driver is available so make sure you call and check and reserve in advance. The staff were very helpful, courteous and patient.

Review 66:The configuration of our two bedroom unit. The master had the only external light which made the rest of the unit dark and that was compounded by only having a floor lamp and light from an overhead fan. More lamps in living room would be nice.

Review 67:Location and the theme. I'm not a Georgia bulldog fan but I can appreciate the love and tradition they have for their university. It's a great idea in a college town. The value compared to other locations is unsurpassed. The female manager and all other female staff including maid service was excellent. The male at the front desk gave me a little attitude when I asked to checkout 45 min after the 11am checkout, but that did not diminish my experience.

Review 68:Parking is a little confusing and limited...can only access from Broad Street...not Clayton Street...the 15 minute parking is not a good location...never understood where a visiting guest would park.

Review 69:Convenience of location ...close to UGA

Review 70:Tubs drained very slowly (was promptly fixed when brought to management's attention), no housekeeping service with 1 week's stay (although new towels and toiletries were provided upon request), Work out room with 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical is undersized for this size project, poor satellite connection on at least one of the televisions (signal frequently dropped)

Review 71:Location, space to spread out from condo format

Review 72:The price was high for this time of year, and also 1 tiny bar of soap for the entire place. Would be nice to have a bar for kitchen, sink and shower in bath.

Review 73:Thought the place was nice, loved the location.

Review 74:Parking situation was really bad Noise from the street in the balcany rooms

Review 75:Staff was wonderful!!! Went way above and beyond... Room layout was perfect for what we needed Location is great

Review 76:The suite was great; nice bedrooms; clean bathrooms; fully furnishedkitchen - refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, platesglasses, utensils, everything. I got a chuckle from all the GeorgiaBulldog decorations; Bulldog salt and pepper shakers; cabinet knobs, andart work, including a Herschel Walker signed jersey framed on the wall.It was an enjoyable stay.

Review 77:The water in the shower never got hot, and most often was cold. The air conditioner would work well for a period then automatically turn itself up, mainly in the middle of the night, at which point it was impossible to get it working right again.

Review 78:Loved the location and the size of the room. The front desk people were always great.

Review 79:The facility needs to do a better job of cleaning the rooms and theplumbing was poor especially the drainage in the showers. There is nolate check out like other hotels offer.

Review 80:The two bedroom setup was really nice and very accommodating forfamilies traveling with kids.

Review 81:The condo we stayed in most recently was clean and comfortable but not as well maintained as the others we have occupied. Each condo is individually owned and the owners are responsible for the decor and maintenance.

Review 82:We have stayed at the Georgia center on several occasions. The condos are comfortable, very convenient to UGA and downtown Athens. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with our son's family. Each room has their own bathroom and there is a full kitchen.

Review 83:I did not like getting a call from the management beforehand telling me they only rent to people who do not live in Athens, and them wanting to know the nature of me renting the place. (It was my 32 birthday and I wanted a place for my friends who were coming out of town to stay, but found it a little intrusive for them to ask!).

Review 84:I liked having my friends stay in one place and the size of the rental was very nice. The kitchen and living room were nice as well.

Review 85:We weren't aware that ther was no housekeeping (except for a charge) during our stay. As we were here for 10 days, it would have been nice to have a quick vacuum and bathroom cleaned.

Review 86:We liked the fully equipped kitchen and the ability to be independent and be able to cook and store food and do our own laundry. We loved having a south facing balcony.

Review 87:Hallways smelled a little musty

Review 88:Love the location. Very convenient to downtown and UGA North Campus

Review 89:No Hot water and no shuttle service available as offered.

Review 90:location - condo large accommodations

Review 91:Lighting wasn't very good....ok but not good Could not get the TV to work at all

Review 92:Perfect location, very friendly check-in, private parking

Review 93:Wifi did not work

Review 94:Decor

Review 95:Easy to get in and out. Friendly staff and very comfortable.

Review 96:no laundry detergent

Review 97:Entrance off broad st is confusing for check in.

Review 98:Excellent, spacious room with UGA decor, perfect!

Review 99:Stains on floors. Dirty shower curtain.

Review 100:Excellent location.

Review 101:Very clean and spacious. A condominium setting. Within walking distance from UGA campus and downtown Athens

Review 102:Nothing

Review 103:Location, shuttle to Classic Center, always ready timely. Rooms very will equipped and comfy. More like home than a hotel room.

Review 104:Like all of it...return customer

Review 105:n/a

Review 106:Hotel Decor. Size of Room Balcony Beds

Review 107:Enjoyed the bulldog theme . . . it was amazing the places where we found them!

Review 108:No ice machines, no breakfast

Review 109:Location

Review 110:I always love Gameday. Staff is excellent . Room is great. Convenience to downtown great

Review 111:Parking for our group was a little confusing.

Review 112:Great Loacation! Very nice accomodations!
