Reviews for Knights Inn Motel
Review 1:Train goes by late at night and early morning, maybe 6 am. Train woke me up. Continental breakfast was suppose to start at 7 am, but when i went to office, door was locked. Had to get an early start, so i left before they finally opened. TV remote and TV were slow to work.
Review 2:The location wasn't real good but the comfort of the motel laid up for the difference
Review 3:The Front desk man was very courteous and helpful and directing us to the motel. I have stayed in much worse places fot a lot more money , I think the value is good and I would go to this motel again ,
Review 4:The bed was very uncomfortable. I really disliked the loud noises of people talking late at night. There was someone banging on someones door forever and then slamming of room doors
Review 5:I really liked how the bathroom was designed
Review 6:That we only spend one day
Review 7:Omg I was very surprise with this Motel I been and many others and this one is not how looks from outside. When we open the door we found out that was very clean, comfortable, has all you can think you gonna need, if you gonna be gonne for awhile... for a very good price
Review 8:The train came by about 4:30am every morning, but that wasn't the owners fault.
Review 9:The owner was very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay there was enjoyable! The room was very clean and comfortable!
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:Great stay! Very clean room! Old facility by well maintained! Free ice Available, simple breakfast but ok With us! Location great near some Good restaurants, Safeway across the street, and also a liquor store nearby! Would stay here again!
Review 12:For "breakfast" read continental breakfast - a skimpy one inthe small front office. Disappointing.
Review 13:Right in the middle of town within walking distance of several reallynice local restaurants.
Review 14:location allows you to explore new and old parts of town on foot. Many different places to eat within a couple of blocks. Major chain grocery store across street. Fun shopping. Historical district/buildings. Nice hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
Review 15:The beds are definitely toward the end of their life. One of our queens had a noticeable depression in the middle. We put the kids on that one, and they slept fine.
Review 16:The remodeled bathroom was a welcome surprise and the hint of bleach on the crisp white sheets exemplified the cleanliness of the room. It's rare to find a motel focus on the basics this well.
Review 17:limited privacy. breakfast pretty basic, but most motels at this price don't include anything
Review 18:helpful staff, nice enough room, breakfast included (though a bit basic, better than nothing!!). good location, easy to find
Review 19:I got my reservations almost two months in advance and requested a ground floor room. When we got there, were told none available!! Also, 7:00 am Sunday, the people in the room below, had dogs barking. We sure wanted to sleep in after a late night.
Review 20:Run by Gujaratis (Indians), I've always had great experiences with motels run by Indians... they know how to to run a business sustainability (they know to keep the essentials to bring customers back).
Review 21:Super clean
Review 22:I would have preferred to have a coffee maker in the room.
Review 23:The owner was extremely nice and was genuinely concerned about making our stay pleasant. The rooms were clean and the bathroom shower appeared to be recently upgraded.
Review 24:Carpet was filthy, bathroom door wouldn't shut. A train passed by around 12-1ish in the morning. We couldn't wait to leave. We came for a wedding event.
Review 25:Not much.
Review 26:While the bathroom was updated, the rest of the room could do with a bit of a facelift. That said, we would stay here again.
Review 27:Room was very clean. Staff accommodated our requests for an extra pillow and towels. Price was great!
Review 28:As far as I'm concerned, the stay was perfect.
Review 29:The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When I'm in the area again I will definitely book with Nights Inn. The location is great for shopping and a huge variety of restaurants just blocks away.
Review 30:Wish there had been separate shampoo and rinse. Used shampoo/rinse combo once and it was not replaced during my 4 day stay. Would prefer real glass glasses and not plastic. Ice was not readily available.
Review 31:Temperature control was excellent - Outside temperature over 100 degrees every day I was there and no problem keeping room cool. No noise from other rooms and the hotel was full.
Review 32:We chose Knights Inn For the great price. We arrived early before check in time, it was 107 outside. They were nice enough to get our room cleaned right away and also put the a/c on so our room would be comfortable. We only stayed 1 night and left early the following morning. My wife realized 2hrs later she forgot her wedding ring in the bathroom. We called and were happy to find out they had my ring safe in their office! Thank goodness for their honesty! What great people they are! I would recommend Knights Inn to anyone.
Review 33:We only stayed one night and I didn't find anything that I didn't like during our stay.
Review 34:I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room had a little kitchenette. The hotel is right across the street from Safeway. This is a great option if you plan to be in town for a couple of days and/or you have a specialized diet that requires you to prepare your own meals.
Review 35:The first room we were given had a strong smell that affected the wife's allergies. We talked to the staff who moved us into a room that was much better. It was O.K. for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very poor so we ate it out.
Review 36:Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Review 37:Parking is tight, but probably because the motel was full -- a lot of firefighters in town to fight a forest fire.
Review 38:Clean rooms, comfortable mattress, excellent owner and staff. Looks like a great central location, although we left at 5:00 am the next morning to continue our road trip. Will stay here on our next trip and explore the area more. We did not stay for the breakfast.
Review 39:It doesn't have a swimming pool.
Review 40:Price was good. Beds and amenities were adequate. It was quiet. It was walking distance to Old Town. The hosts were very accommodating.
Review 41:We left a day early. I would have liked another night in the air conditioned room. The beds were clean and comfortable, and dark when needed. Easy to sleep during the day.
Review 42:The location and the staff. The location was perfect for strolling around and visiting a few favorite places, like Blind George's. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want to snoop around without driving, the location is perfect.
Review 43:Leaving.
Review 44:The staff, from top to bottom, is the most friendly and accommodating I've ever encountered. They make you feel as though you are family. The rooms are very spacious and clean. It is located less than two miles from the freeway and you are within walking distance from lot of unique shops and any type of food you could want.
Review 45:We had a ground floor room with convenient access to our car. Our room was clean and smelled fresh and the mattress was just what we needed for a sound night's sleep. We walked two blocks to the downtown center for dinner and had our choice of two highly rated places to eat (with more nearby).
Review 46:Not the fault of the Motel, but there is a train very near, that goes through the downtown and blows its horn. Went through twice the night we were there.
Review 47:Clean rooms. Good Beds and Pillows. Continental breakfast is bare minimum, but enough. Tough to do a breakfast in the small office area that this facility has. Great restaurant across the parking lot and a starbucks across the street.
Review 48:The railroad tracks are behind the building. A train goes through about 1 AM. The building does not shake. There was no coffee pot in the room.
Review 49:The hotel is in the middle of downtown. Safeway and Starbucks are across the street. Recently remodeled, bathroom is upgraded. Towels are acceptable.
Review 50:We stayed just one night but found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable and well worth the price. Not a luxury hotel, but the staff was helpful, rooms were clean and spacious, and we slept well. Breakfast included cold cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs with orange juice and milk to drink.
Review 51:The staff and front desk folks were totally amazing and helpful. Our room was the cleanest motel/hotel room we have EVER stayed in! two thumbs up! We give it a 10!
Review 52:Everything a trailer needs, including ironing board, right in the room. Being right in twin was a plus for me. Right near the original Dutch Brothers coffee stand and lots of great local restaurants, not like a strip with chain places.
Review 53:Staff was very helpful and nice. We checked in late and a lot of other travelers was there at the same time. Staff member was great and courteous to us all.
Review 54:Pillows had hair on them. Breakfast area was not convenient wasn't appealing in appearance and lacked choices.
Review 55:The location, nicely remodeled has a warm comfy feeling in the room.
Review 56:The man at the front seat was incredibly rude. When we asked to change rooms due to an unpleasant odor, he just argued with us. We finally got another room !! The other room was a little better but still not very clean. We would have left but could not get a refund. The owner/managers children played ball right by our room and hit our car twice. Finally asked them to move and they politely did so. Very unfriendly and uncomfortable place to stay. Spend a few dollars more and stay elsewhere!!
Review 57:The door didn't lock properly and was missing the upper deadbolt portion. We have a young child. It made it a little unnerving.
Review 58:We really liked the location. It was perfectly located for our visit with family.
Review 59:Upon check in we were greeted, if you can even call it that, by the most unwelcoming front desk agent. He asked us questions about smoking and pets a three times or more like we were hiding something. It wasn't like we were a bunch of wild and party animals. It was my husband and myself along with our well behaved two year old. Very off putting. He acted as though we were troubling him by being there. It felt like he kept a hawks eye surveillance on us anytime we were entering or exiting our room. It was very uncomfortable.
Review 60:It was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.
Review 61:Heating unit was loud or louder. It was not very warm, so took a long time to warm up the room. Bed was not very comfortable. Traffic noise & Train noise throughout the night. No coffee maker in room. Minimal breakfast; wrapped sweet rolls, coffee, cereal & bananas.
Review 62:Refrigerator & microwave in room.
Review 63:Great location, cool staff. Fridge and microwave in every room and a VERY comfy beds. We have stayed here repeatedly over the last few years and like it way better than other hotels in Grants pass especially for the price.
Review 64:Adjacent to railroad tracks very loud at 5AM Scant breakfast items No hot water either in PM or next morning
Review 65:Comfortable bed Central location Low price Room ready early
Review 66:Next to train track, but it is only a local spur, just one small train goes by per day. Not a big deal.
Review 67:Super staff, nice family run Motel. Stayed three weeks on business.
Review 68:Night noise, ie., train passing nearby, construction type noise in the distance, but not intolerable----
Review 69:the friendly and helpful services of the personnel (Roger and Mike), and ease of access to market and dining establishments----
Review 70:No coffeemaker in room. Very low water pressure in bathroom sink
Review 71:Pleasant desk clerk, spacious room, quiet, & within walking distance of downtown Antique stores
Review 72:The manager and staff were very nice and helpful. The room was in very good shape and well kept. The staff really new the area and could and did make suggestions for dining, sights to see & local events. Our stay was very nice.
Review 73:Bed was worn out General feel of a motel close to it's sell by date.
Review 74:WiFi - fast and reliable Price Bathroom seemed to be renovated recently Location
Review 75:AC was loud and the train went by and shook the building.
Review 76:Loved the location. It is so close to hellsgate and stored and things to do. Breakfast selection was perfect fit for us!
Review 77:A/C unit was loud and wasn't cooling the room down. I left the unit on all day and the room still wasn't cold. I felt bad for the people next to us because I had to turn up the volume on the tv since the unit was loud. The tv remote took a couple of tries to get it to register and turn on the tv.
Review 78:Staff was friendly, helpful and quick to assist you with anything. Reasonably priced. Very clean. I enjoyed my stay.
Review 79:Deodorizer in room was a bit much, but opened windows and that helped.
Review 80:Good location; good value and clean; asked about breakfast, I was told 7 AM. When I told them I had to be up and out at 6:45AM, they had coffee ready by 6:30 AM.
Review 81:No coffee in the room. And someone should have mentioned the train that runs RIGHT behind the rooms.
Review 82:Room was very clean, and comfortable, and the staff was great.
Review 83:Their beds are too firm like rock. Hotel's owner should replace them for new beds with more comfortable with soft surface but not too much firm!
Review 84:Very clean and good smell room. Excellent bathroom with hot water showering. Their AC run really frigid! Free breakfast. Easy to walk to bars, restaurants, Safeway, etc Leave your car at hotel and you won't worry to get DUI. Too bad for boring cops in small town.
Review 85:Breakfast is skimpy on protein and only whole milk which is not ideal for a health conscious consumer, but there is a grocery across the street!
Review 86:Ownership is super nice and friendly and the rooms are very comfortable.
Review 87:We arrived near midnight. My adult son went to get something from the car and it was clear a "transaction" was going on nearby. The room was not cool when we entered and we had to wait for the air-conditioning unit to kick into gear. The ice maker was very poor.
Review 88:It was a budget friendly option. The bathroom had been recently remodeled and other than the shower head being too low, was in very good condition compared to the rest of the facility.
Review 89:Continental Breakfast was basically toast, cereal and fruit. But fine. Directly across from grocery store and walkably close to restaurants if you want more.
Review 90:Friendly staff, very clean room, freshly painted. The bathroom had new stone tile floors and updated, large shower. The vanity was older, but clean and really showed the contrast of the quality of the new upgrades. The free internet was very fast, unlike many hotels we have previously stayed in. The location was wonderful. We could walk to a variety of interesting cafes, small boutique shops and antique stores. A no frills motel in the 50's, 60's style, but lovingly updated and clean. Good Value.
Review 91:no complaints
Review 92:The restroom was recently remodeled and clean, the bed was comfortable and the tv channels offered entertainment (since it was stormy outside). Due to weather (we were traveling by our personal aircraft), we had to extend our stay. There was no problem getting and additional night.
Review 93:Location.... literally the 'wrong side of the rail tracks' noise of early morning train and in a rather sketchy part of town...I guess that's why it's a cheap place to stay....
Review 94:Clean room, decent bed, Flat screen TV, microwave and fridge plus a recently refitted shower..Inexpensive
Review 95:Lobby coffee could be a bit better, haha.
Review 96:Super clean and comfortable with lovely new tile shower, wonderful staff, within walking distance of good restaurants and my friend's house. Even though we'd been told to avoid the Safeway across the street due to the derelicts hanging around, I had no issues in the morning getting some Starbucks coffee. Will most definitely stay again if I am up that way.
Review 97:Convenient location for shopping and restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Review 98:Bed was hard and had a bulge in the middle. But, when we called it to their attention, they were very apologetic
Review 99:Very warm! Loved that!
Review 100:Quite noisy. Just off a main road. Lots of traffic during the day and early evening.
Review 101:Large room - big bathroom. Center of town.
Review 102:noisy from traffic
Review 103:front desk personel were very helpful and friendly
Review 104:Very clean and great location
Review 105:not much for food
Review 106:Not a good neighborhood
Review 107:the staff
Review 108:Cleanliness. Quiet. Friendly, helpful staff.
Review 109:Location. Breakfast
Review 110:Clean and quiet. Owners are continually updating rooms. Owners are friendly and helpful. I feel safe and well taken care of.
Review 111:1. Need a coffee pot in rooms- especially since the office did not open with coffee by 7.
Review 112:Clean and easy facilities
Review 113:The extremely meager "continental breakfast"
Review 114:The efficiency of the room
Review 115:Great accommodations for the price. Needed a clean place to lay my head for the night. Very quiet and great price.
Review 116:Good location - convenient for restaurants and supermarket. Room clean and comfortable.
Review 117:The desk person was super nice, and the rooms were very clean and updated not to long ago, new paint, new shower, ref. micro, flatsceen tv
Review 118:Room had musty smell. Had to open windows to air it out
Review 119:The room was clean and comfortable
Review 120:Loud air conditioner
Review 121:Location
Review 122:I felt people cared about us and wanted to accommodate.
Review 123:Toilet was temperamental requiring the finesse of a cross trained masseuse - plumber to stop it from running.
Review 124:No coffee maker in room
Review 125:Clean, comfortable bed
