Review 1：Not at beach, no bar/liquor store in walking distance, due to electricity problems no credit card payments possible, no alcoholic drinks available at hotel/minibar, you have to order your dinner in advance

Review 2：In the suite: Big room, big bed, sea view, balcony, AC, nice pool with view to sea, beautiful sitting area next to pool, good breakfast and dinner available

Review 3：Just a little thing: air conditioner in one of bungalo room was not good, but manager says it will be fixed in nearest time

Review 5：Located on a hilltop in a small village. If you surf (as I do) it is great, as there are breaks close by. Otherwise you need a tuk-tuk or car to get around, go to restaurants etc.

Review 6：Beautiful designed and located villas situated on a hill top. Nice pool and common areas. Great, spacious rooms. The staff was always smiling, always available and always helpful. My girlfriend was pregnant - and both the managers and the staff did their utmost to make her feel comfortable. We got upgraded to a beautiful room and the service was great. I can only recommend this place!

Review 7：The room we stayed had the shower and toilet in the same room as the bed, so was a little smelly and not very private. But there are other rooms that have separate bathrooms and they looked much nicer.

Review 8：The view from the pool was wonderful, crashing waves, trees and lots of birds to look at. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and served with a very personal touch.

Review 9：Highland Villa can be for sure calles Dreamland villa as well. We booked there only two nights planning to move further after that though in the end stayed for 6 nights. The location is perfecr - the hotel is situated on a hill so you have a fantastic view from there. There are two beaches nearby where you can swim or surf, it takes about 5-7 minutes to go there by foot. Popular with the tourists and surfers Weligama beach is 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk. So you can easily get to a more crowdy and busy place from Highland villa which is a very calm and relaxed place. All the rooms are very nice and clean. The staff was super-friendly and they really try to make this place a family one. They are always ready to help with everythibg you need. Really nice place and not that expensive considering the high quality. Highly recommend!

Review 10：Overpriced ! No hot water (ok maybe 3 times total , but we spend 6 nights) , wifi too bad (read if it works its too slow for anything) , bad management (they should talk eachother more) , unprofessional Staff (except chef) , Some parts of buildings damaged due the rainy season (mold or something) awful smell at rooms , cannot compare any other places with Same price tag ! Cannot recommend anyone who seeking value for The money ! They dont give any options to cancel booking so basicly you get what you get and enjoy that !

Review 11：Breakfast, chef with grocery service was good (because there is no restaurant or Bar) and pool were ok !

Review 12：The villa has 11 rooms, would be great to book the upper complexes entirely for friends and family. BUT and it's a big but, the rooms in the lower building are not as nice as they appear: the living room has massive windows facing the sun, it is too hot to bear in there. Two bedrooms have views of the kitchen and work area. Our room had a stinky bathroom probably, a foul leak, and it was not fixed despite assurances to the contrary. The team of staff were super nice people but coping with so many guests expecting 5-star service, across the huge campus, was sometimes just too much for them, although they tried really hard. In the end, if you go as a couple, there's not much privacy because you share lots of common space with others. Also when we went, very loud disco music booming out from nearby from 7am until late at night. The villa must have cost millions to build but it really isn't worth the price we paid to stay in a room with a foul-smelling bathroom and leaking toilet, even thougn the architecture is beautiful.

Review 13：The staff team try super hard, nice pools, huge rooms, really impressive common spaces, awesome chef and fantastic breakfasts, great laundry service too, two lovely beaches just a couple of minutes's walk.

Review 14：Up a hill so we needed to take a tuk tuk to get into town. Food was good but you need to pre-order

Review 16：if you are a traveller with any motor disabilities, such as walking etc, it is up a hill so it would not be for you. however tuk tuks are on hand. the showers are a little on the cool side, and the pressure is low, but that's about it.

Review 17：location was excellent on a hillside overlooking a small bay. staff are lovley very friendly and went out of their way to help. it is clean and fresh and furnished to a high standard. the staff went to the shops to get ingredients for supper at no extra charge, cooked and served it to your liking at your table. however you had the option of cooking yourself. we were upgraded to deluxe suites. an absolute delight. the pool is heavenly. the food is fresh and sourced locally. we had assistance to arrange a driver to our next destination. the beaches are very unspoilt. highly recommend as a great alternative to the busier Mirissa.
